• Close to the beach and shopping.
• It stunk smelled like must and pee.

“If you can get past the smell it is an okay place to stay for a night I wouldn't recommend staying longer than that.”

• There were plenty of clean towels and a good continental breakfast.
• Our room was not in excellent shape when we entered. Someone had been lying on top of the bed and the bathroom was dirty.

“The staff was quick to respond to any complaint.”

• Continental breakfast in the morning and coffee served throughout the day in the hotel lobby.
• Did not like being put in the back of the hotel.

• It was easy to get to.
• Some of the facilities were not cared for.

“It's a good hotel if youre looking to stay in a great place on a budget, if youre looking for a romantic place I'd keep looking. Applebees right next door but no real island amenities near by the closest one is about 4 miles on the other side of the island.”

• Beds and linens were comfortable, appliances were nice.
• Hot water fluctuated between lukewarm and very hot during morning shower; wooden desks and dressers were heavily worn.

“The atmosphere in the hotel's general area was not the safest or quietest on the beach. I felt safe for the most part as I am young and prepared for unsafe situations, but I wouldn't recommend that a family needing a quiet night's rest stay here. Room was clean and had very nice appliances (fridge, micro, hair dryer, and iron). A business or leisure traveler would find the rooms accommodating.”

• Check in/check out was fast, courteous.
• Shower head didn't work.

“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The air conditioner made a horrible rattling noise which woke me up about every 30 minutes when it turned on. The shower was more like a poor excuse for a half-clogged kitchen sink faucet. Really pathetic. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.”

• All the amenities were included.
• None of the amenities were in great shape.

“This would have been a great hotel for the price with all the amenities you could ask for but it is showing its age. Might be time for a renovation soon.”

• Convenient.
• Price was a little high, stayed there before so I knew what to expect.

“Nice for family get-a-way. Not the most up to date, could use some remodeling. Not good for romantic get-a-ways. Nice but not great.”

• Good value, clean room, good ac, quiet, good water pressure.
• Breakfast could have been better.

“Hotel was a good value, breakfast was fair but could be improved. Clean rooms, pool was nice, but had many pine needles in it from surrounding trees, putting green had the same problem. Convenient location, quiet Bathroom nice with lots of water pressure and shower massage was nice too.”

• The room smelled mildew: tried another room with the same results.

“The room smelled like a 7-day wet carpet that had not been aired out. A pretty good distance from the main part of the beach. It is near a lot of shopping and public transportation is in front of the hotel. If you need a roof over your head and not really concerned with quality or amenities. Quality Inn and Suites is your ideal hotel.”

• The putting green outside the lobby was fun for all ages.
• We were in a non-smoking room, but smokers stood outside on the balcony, causing the room to have a stale cigarette smell.

“It was far from romantic for an anniversary trip, but met our stipulations- a safe place to sleep and cheap. We only were in the room for sleeping hours, so it wasn't awful, but I'd probably not stay there again. A 'motel' set up with outdoor corridors let in a lot of sounds and smells. While in a non-smoking room, smokers stood feet away from our door on the corridor/balcony and the cigarette smell came into our room. There was also a lingering wet/stale smell in the room. You could also hear all of the vehicles coming and going all through the night and morning. Our AC unit was on the fritz and chugged and clicked through the night. Annoying, but not worth the hassle of moving to another room and dealing with other unwelcome odors. Perks of the room/stay: room fridge and continental breakfast and mini golf green with clubs and golf balls.”

• The rooms were very dirty and in poor repair. The staff was not very helpful or friendly in this manner.

“The first room we were given had a major bug problem. The second room we were given did not have bugs but was not very clean or in good repair. The staff was far from friendly if not a little rude especially the man at check in. I would definitely not stay at this hotel again.”

“We enjoyed our stay! The hotel was very clean and special touches were seen everywhere, such as the special folds in the towels and toilet paper. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly making our stay the perfect place to be.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• It was not close to where we needed to be at all, and very junk.

“The trash overflowed out of the dumpster, and in 90 degree heat was sickening to smell. It permeated our car, (with CLOSED windows) our room, and the area. There were so many kids and teenagers, we had to call management several times to complain and never got more than 4 hours of sleep because of noise. The putting green had so many holes in the astro turf it looked polka dotted, and it was covered in leaves and pine needles, etc. We will never stay there again.”

• Near to restaurants and a short drive to the beach.
• More like an old-fashioned motel than a hotel.

“Relative to the other properties on Hilton Head Island, this was a bargain. It was not luxurious in any way, although they do have a small pool and little putting green (for children more than adults). I did not leave the curtains open because the window opens to a public walkway and this caused a bit of claustrophobia after a few days. If you plan to spend more time outside of the room than inside, it works well.”

“I would avoid staying here in the future there was no coffee in the lobby I asked the staff several times for directions to several areas and each time just got the brush off treatment while swimming in this pool there were several people using the pool that were not guest there one of there friends worked in a fast food place which was right behind the pool he would bring them free food and they were noisy and rude! once after bringing them free food they pushed the worker in the pool! He got out of the pool and took off his pants and shirt right in front of every one! he was in his boxers just swimming in the pool that was the last straw! My wife and my 14 year old daughter and her 12 year old friend as well as I were shocked and outraged! We went back to our room about a hour later we noticed the same bunch of people were waiting for the public bus or some kind of public transit system to pick them up the reason I did not bring this issue up to the front desk I knew I would get the same treatment! Also after we got checked in our door would not lock instead of moving us the staff got the patience guy to spray some wd40 on the lock! Yes it worked after that but the odor was bad! When checking out the front desk clerk asked how was our stay I told her fair she just act like it never happened the best thing about staying here was leaving here!”

• Best Thing Was Leaving.
• Staff Were Rude.

“I would avoid staying here in the future. There was no coffee in the lobby. I asked the staff several times for directions so several areas and each time just got the brush off treatment while swimming in this pool. There were several people using the pool. That were not guest there. One of there friends worked in a fast Food Place Which was right behind the pool. He would bring them free food and they were noisy and rude.
