- Excellent service, well designed and appointed for a Hilton. This was a very different experience than what I expected.
- Not given correct directions - that resulted in a 2 hour delay in returning to the hotel on a not muggy Saturday evening.

- Stand-offish front desk clerks, not helpful to tourists.
“Beautiful hotel. I think that it should mention to potential guests that there are current hotel renovations taking place. Some hotel exits/entrances will not be used during their stay. Other than that it's a beautiful hotel and the front desk clerks should be trained on tourists attractions to some degree. Suggestions to guests would be nice with a friendly personality.”

“I strongly recommend that they update late menu or staff accordingly. I held off eating until late evening expecting to get a full meal as indicated by the menu and all I was able to obtain was a cold sandwich. No other options existed. Went to bed hungry.”

- The hotel Staff was the best of all the stay.
- Every little thing outside of about 8 channels on the TV had a surcharge attached. Even music.
“The Hilton is on the higher side, as hotels go. It has been remodeled and all but the only real difference between it and the Holiday Inn down the street was the service of the staff.”

- Dirty room, stained dirty carpet, $10 a day for internet, hair on bathroom floor, moldy shower, doors in disrepair.
“I would not stay here again. This hotel is in bad disrepair and there were obvious cleanliness issues with the room. The hotel is under remodeling in main areas and quite noisy. The hotel staff was helpful and attentive although I was appalled that this was considered a 4 star establishment. I have stayed in nicer 2.5 star hotels that were much cleaner.”

- In walking distance so Bobcat Arena and other attractions.
- A/C was not working when we arrived but it was repaired the next day.
“Very nice hotel, great location in downtown Charlotte. Came to town for a concert at Bobcat/Time Warner Arena. We were able to walk to the stadium along the sidewalk to the city's new train system. It took less than 10 mins to get there! Spacious rooms, comfy beds, nice bathrooms, and the flat screen was a big plus. Parking was a little weird (takes two elevators to get to your room) and expensive, but it wasn't so bad. Will definitely stay there again once the remainder of the renovations are completed.”

- The parking is the pits - too expensive $18/night - have to walk and ride elevators to enter the hotel - not safe.
“I am extremely particular about hotels - all the horror stories of uncleanliness - this was our second time staying at that hotel. The first time, we had to call for maintenance to come and unstop the shower - yuk! I didn't like standing in stale water - left from a previous guest - YUK! However, it's a typical 4-star hotel - it works for an overnight stay.”

“The hotel was wonderful except for the maid the morning of our stay. Instead of propping open the door in the room next to us while she cleaned, she let it continually bang. We were without kids and trying to sleep in a little. That made it impossible.”

- Elevators too crowded, took too long to get to our room.
“Hotel itself was beautiful, however from the moment I arrived, it was a nightmare. The ride up the elevator took 15 minutes (a fencing tournament had been scheduled and literally hundreds of kids were going up and down the elevators, hitting all the buttons). When I and my pregnant wife finally got to the room, the keys issued did not work. We were on the 16th floor so I had to spend 15 minutes riding back down the elevator, stand in line to get a new set of keys, then another 15 minutes riding up the elevator, all the while my wife standing in the hallway in front of our room. Then, the second set of keys did not work. Security had to come up, let us in and then go get a new set of keys for us. We ended up missing our reservation for dinner and the only repercussion was that a bowl with 2 bananas, an apple, some grapes, and orange was sent to our room as an apology. In addition, the bar was completely shut down and a makeshift bar was set up in a lobby, and the breakfast buffet was set up in a conference room-apparently the restaurant was under renovations. All in all, this was definitely nowhere near the Hilton experience that I have been accustomed to in the past. Disappointing on almost all levels.”

- It was being remodeled and there was a biker convention happening.

- Room was very clean, comfortable and stylish with modern amenities.
- Location was several blocks away from center city.
“The Hilton Center City was both comfortable and stylish. Our guest room was immaculate and well-appointed. Amenities at the hotel were top notch from the hair dryer and flat-screen television in the room to the restaurant quality, available business services and fitness facilities. Our stay was great and the only thing we felt they could improve upon in each guest room would be to provide a mini fridge or mini bar we were disappointed that our guest room had neither. The location (even though it is considered "center city") is about a three to four (3-4) block walk to all the popular Downtown restaurants, theaters and bars - far enough that if it is cold or in climate weather, it would require a cab ride. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely stay there again!”

- Very Nice Great Location Great Room For Price.
- Pay For Parking Very Bad.
“Great Hotel will stay their again. $20.00 dollars a day to park not so good, should be free for 5 star hotel. Also internet cost 10.00 dollars a day come on should be free.”

- Bathroom.
- Currently under renovation and $18 parking fee.
