• The light fixtures in room were dusty and I have allergies which caused me to sneeze a lot during my stay.

• The beds were awesome!
• Breakfast wasn't complimentary, like other hotels of similar ratings I've stayed at.

“I found the room to be very comfortable. I did not like how complicated the remote was to use. It was difficult to get to the channels. I was disappointed with the front desk staff. They were not unfriendly, but I felt like I was interrupting their day.”

• I like the extremely helpful staff and comfortable feel of the hotel.
• I did not find the cost of the breakfast buffet to be reasonable.

“I was extremely pleased with the location and value of hotel that I got for my money. the hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful with all aspects of our stay. I was slightly displeased with the cost of the breakfast buffet, but there were numerous restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.”

• The exit road from the hotel needs to be a two way street.

“I was here on a one night stay for business. The hotel met all of my expectations. I was very happy with my stay. The breakfast offered in the morning was much better than expected.”

• A stronger then usual hotel smell and the bed were very soft on one edge side.

“This was an unpleasant experience. The hotel room smelled moldy and the mirror on the closet door near the bathroom was broken. After having stayed at an excellent Marriott Courtyard in Arlington, I was stunned to find the quality so much worse in Charlotte. The 20-minute wait for the desk clerk was unacceptable. I was glad we were only "passing through".”

• Beds were great, everything was clean and neat.
• The front desk staff was rude, and the elevator got stuck with us in it for 20 minutes.

“This was a nice place with a very convenient location, a pleasant pool/hot tub setup, and spacious rooms with very comfortable beds. Two problems - when we called the front desk to get a recommendation on where to get a pizza close by, the person there said 'we can't give any recommendations' and then just hung up without another word. Not very nice. Second, our elevator got stuck between the 2nd and 3rd floor for about 20 minutes, and the emergency phone was non-functional. Luckily we had our cell phones on hand and were able to call the front desk that way. Not sure how long we'd have been in there if we hadn't had our cell phones. Due to these issues, the management gave us a free night voucher for Marriott Courtyard, which was nice of them. The things that happened are episodic things though, and would not prevent me from staying there again if I was in the area. The place was clean, and the beds were super comfortable - those are the main things.”

• Very clean comfortable rooms, convenient and safe location. Friendly service.
• Doesnt include breakfast, wish they include more toiletries.

“The location was safe, convenient, about 15 minutes from airport. The staff was friendly and ready to help at all times, beds and pillows were comfortable and clean. 100% smoke free facility (great!). I just wish they included breakfast instead of charging for it separately. Over all, great experience and will definitely stay there again.”

• The decor of the room was beautiful.
• The bathroom was plain, but worse, the bathtub was old/outdated/dirty.

“The hotel was beautiful. The staff was friendly and checks in/out was very fast and easy. The room was wonderful, except for the outdated and dirty bathtub. The tile had black areas in the grout and there were other stains. The bathroom itself was very plain and had no fan. Everything was wonderful except for the bathroom.”

• The mattress pad was some type of memory foam that was cloud like, I personally would like to find out what brand it was.

• I like the way that the staff was attentive to me and my husbands needs.
• There was no trash bags placed in the trash cans for the room.

“I really enjoyed the visit at this location. I used to be a Courtyard By Marriott employee and I see that the standards are still being upheld. We were very please and look forward to returning.”

“Overall, the hotel was nice and the lobby was updated nicely. The room looks just like the picture from the Marriott site. I would definite consider staying there. It was right off the highway which made it very close to everything.”

• It did not have a free breakfast that some hotels offer.

“Although we only stayed for a short time - the stay was pleasant. Check in staff very friendly and night staff friendly as my small daughter didn't sleep and we were walking in reception in the night. For security there was a policeman on duty in the lobby all night!!”

New and clean with decent amenities (including a gym, pool, and restaurant), it is located in a great part of South Charlotte, near the South Carolina border. Tremendous location near I-77 and I-485 intersection and SC border.”

• For the most part the housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful.
• The front desk was very rude to my guest who was traveling with, when we were inquiring about something.

“On one of the days I was at the hotel there was one of the hotel staff, between 7:30-8:00pm who came to our door and was trying to enter even thought the door was locked from the inside and the television was on. When we inquired about it at the from desk we were giving some crazy explanation about what had happened, and that was when the front desk lady was being very rude about it. Other than that my stay was very nice, I will be traveling back to the Charlotte area in the early part of June, but I will not return to that hotel because I didn't feel my things were safe there. The same young lady who tried to enter our room came with a friend. The following week she came to clean the room and she made the bed and was suppose to the bathroom, instead she skipped it and cleaned the rooms up and down the hall when I went to her she said she will be returning to clean our room, but I was of the impression she was waiting for us to leave. All the other staff cleaned when we were there and never had problem. But she had to wait for us not to be there.”

“This hotel was outside of what I would consider the Charlotte Coliseum area. I had to travel too far to get to my meeting location the next morning. When traveling on business I would prefer a free continental breakfast to the paid full buffet.”

• Some of the staff was rude to me as a minority.

“In that southern area I believe the non minority staff did not respect me as a equal guess. The minority staff was very nice, especially the first women I met. Her name was Latonya. She was very nice, but the woman that was the Hostess name Alma was rude and acted as if I did not belong their. When I asked about one of the amenities of the hotel to another non minority women at the front desk the next day, she seemed to imply that I wasn't a guest at the hotel.”

• Very nice Hotel for the price we paid.
• Laundry facilities only had one washer and dryer. Took several hours to wash 2 loads.

“Overall for the price, it was a very nice hotel. Pool was closed due to cold weather, but had indoor spa. Room was kept clean and staff was excellent.”
