• I felt safe going out at night and seeing the hotel security circling the parking area.
• No mini fridge in the room.

• I liked everything.

• Staff's since of urgency in an emergency.

“Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room, decor, and cleanliness were excellent. I experienced an emergency with the heater burning element malfunctioning in the room at 3:30 am. Room filled with bad smoke odors staff on duty did not show any since of urgency to assist me, even after they sent other staff to investigate. I spoke to the director of guest services the next morning, and he accommodated me with lunch for me and my family at the hotel's restaurant at the hotel's expense. The food was so good I wished I could take the cook home with me. Bottom line, hats off to the management staff, for making things right. I would probably stay again.”

• The bed was absolutely the best hotel bed Ive ever slept on. I went right out and bought a down comforter because of that bed.
• I had to ask three times for fresh towels.

“The outside is deceiving. It looks old and kind of dumpy, but once you get inside, it is wonderful. The staff is friendly, though a forgetful. Had to ask for fresh towels three times, they forgot to send up my champagne (but made up for the oversight by sending up a free bottle). The beds are top of the line. Down mattresses and comforters, high thread count sheets. It was a dream. We didnt want to leave the bed. I definitely plan to stay there again.”

• Has decent exercise room.
• Water temperature regulation and air conditioner weak, mildew smelling rooms.

“Very poor Marriott. Rooms smelled moldy, the air conditioner was struggling to keep up. The hot water in the shower would constantly fluctuate between warm and hot every 5 seconds. None of the coke machines were stocked on any floor and would also eat money.”

“This hotel was very nice. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The bathrooms were somewhat smaller than what I would expect from a Marriott, but were none the less still nice. The only thing I was displeased about was the fact that they charge a daily fee for wireless internet access.”

• The bed was very soft. The staff was very helpful, but hotel more for business.
• Lots of business meetings going on and there were groups in lobby all the time.

• I did not like having to pay for internet connection. The business center was always occupied.

• The room was beautiful and the staff was very accommodating.
• They were hosting a national youth softball tournament. Way too many children to use amenities.

“The hotel was neat and clean and the staff was very helpful. Got in late at night from a long trip and walked up to the desk and handed me my key in less then 5 minutes. Great when you're exhausted!”

• Only rooms with king size bed for 4 people, no double rooms left even when we were guaranteed.

“The hotel was very crowded with loud guests. Also, we arrived at the hotel around 11pm and when we got there the only rooms that were left were rooms with king sized beds for 4 people. I explained to the manager that we needed a room with 2 beds and she just said sorry about your luck.”

• The room was more than I expected. It was very clean and the bed was great.
• There was an incident one night in which some guest on our floor was very disruptive.

“The incident that augured was handled immediately by the front desk. However our 4 year old granddaughter was on the same floor. I would have been very upset if she had been awakened as we were by some men attending a football game that got way out of hand. Perhaps singles and families should not be on the same floor. Overthrew wise the stay was flawless our room was cleaned and refreshed daily what a treat the room was very clean.”

• The bedding is awesome! Never slept so well. Staff was great.
• Part of the ceiling looked like it had leaked and ladybugs came in.

“Conveniently located. Good for business travelers. Hi speed internet access, but it¿s $9.95 a day. Very friendly staff and nice bar/restaurant inside. Several restaurants within walking distance. Not far from airport either. I've stayed twice with kids. They like the indoor/outdoor pool.”

• Location is easy to get to major Charlotte business locations.
• Staff was unfriendly.

“This was the first time I stayed at a hotel through online and felt like I was being treated like a second class citizen. Upon checking in the front desk manager (who was staffing the desk) originally made a key with a room number on the 9th floor. He then look my key off the desk and reassigned me a room on floor "1". Floor 1 is actually two stories under the lobby and the only thing there are a few rooms and the pool. It was noisy, smelt like chlorine and because of the location made cell phone reception impossible. The hotel was mostly empty (as evidenced by the empty parking lot).”

“The Marriott Charlotte Executive hotel met all of my expectations and more. It was very conveniently located adjacent to I-77, the rooms were extremely nice with brand new plush bedding, and the staff was friendly. My kids loved the huge indoor-outdoor pool. They even said they wished they could have stayed longer.”

• There was a fire, and no effective notification system.

“This hotel needs renovations. There were two potential fires each of the nights we were there. The hotel management has no clear cut system for notifying guests of a fire. Both nights the fire dept. was called in, and my husband and I slept through the first night and only evacuated when we smelled smoke coming into the room. There was chaos - a real concern in a city which is a large financial center and with all the problems in the world today with security threats.”

• I loved the bed and the indoor pool.
• The front desk clerk , he did not have good customer service skills.

“Clean, nice. Convenient to a couple of restaurants. It is in the older section of town, I think, but it is only a short drive from downtown. Definitely not a bad place to stay if you are driving.”

• The beds were nice and the House Keeping was very nice.
• They were not able to give us 2 beds, we had 1 king and used a trundle. Nothing major.

“Great location to Carowinds. Just a very short interstate drive. The elevators were slow, Front desk was not helpful at all, but the housekeeping staff made up for the front desks mistakes. Overall a nice place to stay.”
