• The hotel staff was so friendly. The room was clean and comfortable.
• No problems while we were there.

“My husband and I went to a Carolina Panther's game and needed a place to stay overnight. I decided to try using Priceline to book our hotel. I am really glad we did. Our hotel was wonderful. We were greeted by very friendly staff members. The check in was very quick. We entered our room and were pleasantly surprised. It was so clean, spacious and the bed was very comfy. We did not dine at the restaurant so I am unable to comment on that, but the appearance of the hotel inside and out was great!”

• Large rooms & adequate space.
• Climate control wasn't good.

“Nice hotel, very clean - rooms were large. Beds were OK (clean but not super comfortable). Only complaint was climate control - it was very warm in our room, no matter how low we had the unit - called front desk, they said it was fixed, but it wasn't - ended up sleeping with window open.”

• They charge $12.95 per night for internet use.

“As a small business owner, I have to try to be mindful of the money we spend as I do not have a bottomless expense account like a lot of business travelers. Charging $12.95 per day for use of the internet is ridiculous. When I complained they told me they thought they were the only hotel in the Marriott chain that still charged for internet access. On top of that, you cannot lower the thermostat below 65 degrees, it is impossible. Since I like it very cool when I sleep this aggravated me also. I went to another hotel the week following my stay here in the Charlotte area that is just as nice, in a better location, with free internet and that did not have controls on the thermostat for the same price. I can see why this hotel is empty most of the time.”

“The hotel was lovely, and the staff very attentive & courteous. The only thing that wasn't great was that on the second day our room wasn't cleaned, but the hotel gave us breakfast vouchers to make up for it. We had such a great time in Charlotte, we are buying a house there. The hotel is accessible from many places yet it is kind of hidden. It was nice to go back to after a long day. Coming from NYC, the room was only slightly smaller than our apartment. The pool was nice, however the sauna didn't work. Otherwise, it was fantastic. The staff was great!”

• 2 people in a room with a single bed was not comfortable.

“I have stayed here twice, each time was a very poor experience. The first stay, the A/C went out in the whole hotel and wasn't fixed until 2 am so that night's rest was horrible in a 95 degree room.”

• Spacious rooms.
• No breakfast provided. The hotel restaurant's prices were too expensive to consider.

“Hotel was spacious and rooms were very pleasant; however, no breakfast and wireless in the rooms included was a drawback for families. I had the impression that the hotel was geared more toward business travelers.”

• It had a beautiful setting inside and outside.
• It would have been nice to have a free breakfast bar . The pool area at 7:30a wasnt ready. No fresh towels available. Water cloudy.

“Overall, the hotel stay was enjoyable. I think however, that if the pool is not ready at 7am, it should not be advertised as being open at that time. The pool water was being tested when I arrived at 7:30am. Fresh towels were not available.”

• Getting onto the property was confusing. Back gate was locked.

• The staff was excellent and friendly and the room exceeded my expectations.
• The hallway outside my room needed to be vacuumed. There were crumbs all over.

“The hotel staff met me with a friendly smile and excellent service. They anticipated my needs and met them. The rooms are luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a refrigerator in the room and I was able to purchase water and snacks and store them there.”

• Cleanliness and security. Atrium lobby was a hit with the kids. Room was clean and comfortable.
• Swimming pool was a little worn, but still very nice. Whirlpool being renovated at the time of visit.

“A very nice hotel that was family friendly, although obviously geared more towards the business traveler. Comfortable room and generous space in the public areas. Located in nice area, predominantly a corporate office park environment; shopping a bit of a drive away, but easy to find.”

• The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. The lobby area is beautiful.
• The food is overpriced and not worth the money. The pool was cold and dirty.

“Overall, this was a pleasant experience. We were traveling with my kids and they really liked it. The only things that I thought could have been improved on was the food and the pool. The pool was very cold and both the pool and jacuzzi have peeling paint and need a good cleaning.”

• The two-room suite was ideal for family travel with young children because our children could sleep earlier than us without interruption.

“Renaissance Suites in Charlotte is an outstanding hotel with plush bedding, pristine rooms, a gorgeous lobby, modern decor, and all the conveniences a traveler wants or needs. The workout room, pool and spa were all in the best condition. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone whether passing through Charlotte or for an extended stay.”

• We had fabulous views not only out the front door, but also the view from our window.
• The location was not very close to food establishments, hot tub had mold.

“Fabulous hotel. Excellent deal, a lot for the money. Room was tastefully decorated, clean, and beds very comfortable. 2 TV's a plus when traveling with children. Room had a microwave, refrigerator and a sink. Did not have enough towels, but were delivered quickly upon request. Would definitely stay again.”

There is a charge for wireless, but there is free internet access from the computers in the business room on the ground floor. The breakfast buffet, for an additional charge, offers a tasty selection of breakfast foods.”

“I will never stay here again. I have stayed at many hotels for the fraction of the cost and have had better experiences. To put it shortly my disappointment was due to the following: hard pillows, loud AC unit, small bedroom, and wireless internet charged at $10 per day. The internet situation sent me over the edge as it is something that you expect to be included in the price if it most 1 and 2 star hotels offer free wireless internet.”

• This was a terrific facility, everybody was terrific and the rooms were outstanding.
• It was hard to get a newspaper; location not conducive to late night snacking.

“This hotel came across as being very new and was extremely clean. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and having the bedroom set back from the hallway meant that there was never an issue with hall noise. Every staff member, from check-in to the restaurant staff to the people in the gift shop was very helpful and friendly. This is an extremely well-run hotel and my hat's off to those responsible for managing this facility.”
