• Loved the contemporary style of the room furniture.
• Did smell some smoking has been done in the room.

“Great hotel, very friendly service, quality bed and furniture. Had to pay for internet services. Got a room on the ground floor which was non smoking, but smelled that there has been some smoking done. Not all that strangs, because there was an ashtray provided in the room, overall very good hotel with modern atmosphere.”

• The beds were wonderful, so were the cookies!
• The sign for the exit was gone from the Interstate.

“The hotel staff was very nice. We did have a hard time finding it since the exit sign from the Interstate was missing. The room was plenty big, and the beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again!”

• It was nice and clean, friendly, and good accommodations and loved the cookies.
• Everything was very nice. No complaints.

“This is a very nice hotel for the business and leisure travelers alike. The staff is very friendly greeting you with fresh cookies and a smile. I would definitely stay at this hotel the next time I go to Charlotte NC.”

• Very clean with a new look to it.
• A strong deodorant aroma smell to the room.

“Very new looking hotel. The room we had was very spacious and had a new looking bathroom with plenty of room. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and through out our stay. Parking was plenty, well lit and very convenient. Pluses were nice had TV, clean and new looking bathroom, digital thermostat for heater/ac, clean floors, and nice. Minuses were aromatic smell to room and low flying planes nearby.”

• Noise, messed up reservation.

“When I added an extra day, it confused the staff. They separates the 2 reservations. I had someone try to get in the room at 11:30 p.m. They tried to rent the room again, then they called at 12:30 and I had to explain the extra day. The next day my key didn't work and I had to explain the whole thing again.”

• Best sleep I've had in a hotel.
• Having to pay fro internet connection.

“The hotel had clean rooms with nice and upscale furniture. The lobby did not represent the rest of the hotel. It is small and upscale feel that you have in the rooms. The politeness and professionalism of the employees met or exceeded my expectation. I did not use any of the amenities but they seem to be more than adequate. I would have used there gym and pool if I had more time. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my stay at that hotel.”

• Beautiful furniture and decor in the room.
• Bathroom shower area was dirty, moldy, and the grout was nasty.

“The hotel was difficult to locate, and I drove past it several times. I finally had to be "talked in" to the hotel by the front desk clerk via my cell phone. It is set back from the road with no signage outside to direct you in. The room itself was beautiful and large, but because of the surprising dirtiness of the bathroom.”

• Clean. Easy access.
• Planes and all that means when not taking a flight.

“All stated above in words and not sentences. A new hotel. Great for someone catching a flight. OK for someone getting a good price for a night's stay. I would suggest ear plugs (after first night, I bought some).”

• The warm cookies you get when you check in! AWESOME.
• There was no local news14 Carolina station.

“This Doubletree hotel was wonderful to stay in. The room was very spacious and the bathroom had some luxurious touches. It was very clean and had terrific water pressure. The bedding was soft and comfortable. They give you a warm chocolate chip cookie when you check in - and all the staff is extremely friendly. We only had one suitcase, but they offered to bring it to the room for us anyway. The restaurant had good food and was well priced for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again!”

“This hotel was not conveniently located, it was actually kind of hard to find. Once I found the place it was pretty nice. The beds were comfortable and the environment was great. The only thing that I was slightly thrown off by was the fact that there was no free breakfast (25 bucks for 2 people).”

• Hotel is a little run down.

“The hotel staff is very nice. The first room I had was very small and when I asked for a larger room, they gladly put me in a larger corner room without asking for more $. The housekeeping staff has been very good. The room itself has the strangest decor I have ever seen. Its like old southern dark wood traditional with floral prints meets funky IKEA lighting and accessories.”

• The hotel looked brand new.
• There was really no view out of the window.

“The hotel looked very new, everything was clean. The room had a very nice bathroom with everything you might need. We did not eat in the dining room but it looked very nice and had an attaching bar with a few big TV's for watching the game.”

• Noisy - our two rooms were next to elevator and no coffee downstairs in lounge.

“It was clean and the staff friendly. Loved the cookies but would have loved a cup of coffee with them. There was not a fan in the bathroom - we needed to vent after a shower. Too close to the airport if you are a light sleeper.”

• The hotel staff was rude and ignorant.

“I got at the hotel reception around 10:30 pm. The desk clerk was behind the desk and was having a conversation with someone in the lobby. He ignored me when I walked in. I stood there for 5 minutes while he was still talking and then another customer walks in and he offers to help them. I voiced out that I was there before them and his comment was "I didn't see you." very unprofessional and ignorant.”

• Booked a non smoking room- got smoking room.

“Nice hotel, but everything ruined by giving me a smoking room. I have breathing difficulties at night which require me to sleep with a machine. Being forced to accept a smoking room did not help my apnea. I will not be staying at this hotel again.”

• The hotel was very close to the airport, clean, friendly, helpful front desk staff, rooms were attractive, flat screen TVs were nice.
• Area around the hotel is under developed; there was a drive to locate restaurants, and shopping.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. This was my first time staying in NC and at a double tree and I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel's ambiance was great and the rooms were very attractive. Although the hotel appeared to be more business oriented, it was still a great stay. The staff members at the front desk were very attentive and friendly. Would stay again and again!”

“Recently updated with upscale furnishings. Average size rooms. Comfortable but not luxurious. Staff was friendly and efficient, but front desk manned only by shuttle driver at times. Quiet location, but no restaurants close by.”

• Dirty, bad location.

“First they said they couldn't give me a non-smoking room, I had to wait several hours for a cancellation to get a non-smoking room. For years I have used the room key folder to keep my expense receipts in, and I have always left them in the room. The housekeeper in this hotel decided to throw them away. When I asked security that evening, they refused to search the trash, but would call me to see how they could help solved the problem. They never called. Hated the layout, bad customer service, dirty, smelly hotel. Worst hotel experience in 6 years.”

• Hall noise coming into the room was terrible.

“Probably great for a traveler but poor for peace and quite. Hotel is close to the airport and easy to access. It is close enough to eating establishments and entertainment. Hotel room was nice with a great staff that was friendly. The only complaint which I have and it is a big one is that you may as well just have a curtain for a door because that is how it seemed. Outside noise from the hall was terrible. You could hear every conversation in the hall and could hear from the hall into the rooms. It kept you from a good nights sleep, and you could hear almost every door open and close all through the night. The door to the rooms had an opening that was way too big. The noise from room to room was almost unnoticeable. I would not recommend this hotel for a good nights sleep.”

• The bed was one of the most comfortable beds Ive ever slept in.
• The down pillows were flat.

• The overall cleanliness and the helpful staff.
• The ants in our room, but the staff quickly moved us and upgraded our room also.

“The hotel was very clean. The staff very friendly and helpful. When we have a problem with ants coming into the room, they quickly moved us to another room. They also upgraded our room because of the inconvenience of the problem. Our stay was very enjoyable.”

• The room was large, clean and comfortable.
• Hallway needs new carpet. No free wireless. Room Service only during certain times of day.

“Overall a great place to stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean and large. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The hallways and elevators need updating and there isn't any free wireless. Room service only runs during certain times of day despite in-room menus saying otherwise.”

• The hotel was clean, and the amenities were great from the Wi-fi accessibility to the room service.
• There wasn't much but, the television was difficult to tone to the channels.
