“This hotel, located in a Business Park, has great access to the airport and is surprisingly quiet. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. Check in was efficient and those cookies are just darn good. Great stay.”

• No hot tub. Far from downtown. Smoking room. Had to walk through wedding to get out of room. Only had a room with 1 bed needed 2.

“The hotel was nice but it didn't have a hot tub. What kind of 3 star doesn't have a hot tub. They only had a smoking room available. It was so far from downtown that we couldn't go out. The bar closed early. This was suppose to be my vacation from coming back from a deployment but it was ruined.”

• The carpet was dirty and the hotel smelled like smoke. The staff was not very friendly.

“The hotel is exception but charges additional 9.95 per day for internet. I expected to pay an amount and got hit with an additional 9.95 per day. There is an additional charge for a non smoking room.”

“This was probably one of the nicest hotels. Great location and beautiful room accommodations. We arrived late on our way to Hilton head from Ohio. It is usually a positive experience for a great price.”

• The pillows were so soft. The bed was like home.
• The air unit was on the fritz and ran constantly.

“The hotel is great! The staff was very helpful and nice. I thought the previous reviews about the staff being rude were totally unfounded in my experience. The pool is a lap pool with 2 rows so it was great exercise and the kids liked playing, too. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We travel to Charlotte often and I will try to get this hotel again.”

• I loved the furniture, the soft high-count sheets, the bar and reasonably priced restaurant and Wolf Gang Puck coffee.
• One of the night staffers didn't pull our breakfast in bed card - probably because he was a senior citizen and forgot.

“This hotel border-lines a deluxe upscale hotel. Its decor paired with the bar and restaurant makes one want to stay in or stay longer. The restaurant and bar had varieties from beer to Brule. The hosts even greeted us with fresh warm cookies. Although I didn't swim, the area was like a tropical oasis with lots of tropical landscaping. I highly recommend this hotel!”

• The room was fine, the hotel staff was extremely rude.
• Rude staff.

“Clean for the most part. Decent room but very rude staff, especially the late afternoon check-in receptionist. She did not want to give us a non-smoking room even though I am pregnant. She tried to tell us the hotel was full, but it obviously was not. In the end she reluctantly found us a room that she said may have been smoke free and told us to go smell it . I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“This hotel met my expectations on several levels. They have nice beds, bedding and flat screen TV's. We stayed in a smoking room on the 1st floor that provides for easy access to the courtyard and pool. We could not get cell coverage in our room with 2 different carriers and had to walk outside to take a call. The gym area seemed to be above par.”

“If you log on in the lobby you can avoid the charge for in-room internet service. The pool was tiny there was no hot tub, nothing was free except parking, the cookies were good and the staff was nice.”

“Exceeded our expectations for a 3 star hotel. We were very impressed by the accommodations and the service. Not in the Downtown area, but a short drive to Downtown and the South Park mall, if you have a car, it's a great hotel.”

• The employees were not trained to handle everyday traveler complaints.

“When we arrived the hotel staff was not helpful that night neither was the manager the next day. We did not get housekeeping after we specifically requested it at the front desk. When we came back to the hotel that night, a bag of towels were hanging from the door knob. The whole experience ruined our vacation. We will never stay there again and any chance of telling others not to stay there will do so. The hotel never apologized and tried to offer a reason why.”

• We got poor treatment.

“I don't know what makes a hotel, a 3 star, etc. However we got a single bed for two unmarried people. For a three star hotel, they didn't have a complimentary continental breakfast. I'm surprised they didn't make us sleep in the janitors closet. And last but not least, I'm 6 feet tall and the shower head is about 5 and a half feet or ever so slightly higher on the wall. I'm not kidding, I had to get on my knees to shower.”

• We were a bit worried about leaving our vehicle in the parking lot.

“The rooms were spacious and updated in a very modern decor. All of the hotel staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The walls were a bit thin so a lot of noise was heard from other rooms and hallways, but this seems to be the norm in most hotels we've stayed at lately. Overall, our stay was great and we would stay here again in the future.”

“I was not that impressed with this hotel. You can not find the hotel easily. The exit you are supposed to get off at is not marked and you have no idea that you are suppose to get off there. There was mold in the shower and the beds leaned to the floor when you lay down. I personally would not stay at this hotel again.”
