  • The picture of the hotel room and the actual hotel room were not the same. The picture varied per long in.

“I believe the hotel room was good for the price. I was disappointed the picture on your webpage and the actual hotel were different. Sometimes the picture was correct and sometimes when I logged on the picture changed. This was an older hotel that was adequate for a quick weekend trip.”

  • Close to the ocean.

“When the person in the next room was in bed every time they moved our beds would shake try waking up to that in the middle of the night. Room was very out of date.”

  • Staff was friendly. Easy access to beach. Great breakfast.
  • Could be a little cleaner.

“We went for the 4th of July holiday and needed to be financially responsible. We did not have a beach view. But the location was pretty good, right on the beach and the staff was nice. Very nice breakfast. Parking was extremely tight.”

  • Room was not clean, staff unconcerned, had to talk to manager.

“We were told that we did not have a room. We were given a key to a room that was not cleaned. There was dog hair and trash everywhere. We left and came back, the room was still not cleaned. Guess services said this was the 3rd time on that day that the front desk screwed up and put someone in a room that had not been cleaned. The lady at the front desk was hurrying us off so the manager would not hear that we were put in an unclean room. We would have been forced to waited if we had not spoken to the manager who gave a different room with a better view which the front desk had told us several times they did not have. The older lady at the front desk was the worst and least helpful. No this hotel will not be a place that we will stay again. It is on the dead side of the beach away from the excitement and nicer hotels and stores. I don't know if it was the fact that it was a holiday weekend or if it was the NASCAR race that caused us to pay such a large amount for such a less than perfect hotel. One good thing was that the kids liked the arcade but most of them were out of ordered. Go further, down the beach is you want better quality and more excitement.”

  • Location, nice pool, good breakfast included and clean.
  • Add fruit to the breakfast menu.

“Great location, building has good curbside appeal. Enjoyed the pool and beachside was great for morning runs. Bit of a smoke odor in the room, but otherwise I had a good stay for two days.”

  • The 4am party next door to us that kept us up for 2 hours.

“We woke up at 3:30am to a loud banging on our door. The the music and partying started in the room next door. I let it go for about 30 minutes before calling the front desk. I was told that the manager would go check out the issue. After another 30 minutes, I called again and the manager told me that he didn't hear anything and that it wasn't his job to do anything. I told him that he had to be kidding. Who's job is it? The guests? It was ridiculous! I will never stay there again.”

“My husband and I arrive at our hotel (quality inn ocean palms) once in the room I put the luggage down check the bathroom and than check the room, what a surprise when I saw a strange stain on the sofa, the stain was accompanied with dog hairs (yes that is what you get when pet are allowed I guess), the stain was dog urine. Needles to say my Daytona vacation was getting a bad start I called the lobby and was told they could put me in a room by the pool (not my idea of peaceful vacation to be by the pool), I told them I wanted to talk with choice hotel corporate office, I explained my problem asking for my point to be transferred and be relocated in another hotel with room that were price the same way but required double the point. In my opinion after such a mistake choice should have done what was right allow me to use my point in another of their hotel and take the loss, I am a small business owner and trust me if such a mistake had been done I would have bent over backward for my customer. They refused and I had to stay in that hotel, in a so call better room, the so call better room had a broken mirror, stain on the mattress, and mold stain in the bathroom, old stove in a pretty bad shape. And this hotel is suppose to have been recently restored (this only mean fresh paint where needed) and have a house keeping award (only if you are not looking I would assume) needless to say I am canceling my choice reward credit card and I will never step a foot in their hotel again, and will make sure to let as many people know about their filthy hotel and bad customer service.”

  • It was very convenient to the beach and had a nice kiddy's pool.
  • It was not as clean as we would have like it in our room.

“We were pleased with this hotel until we tried to check out. We had already paid our full amount for the stay when we booked this, and when we tried to check out the guy at the front desk tried to recharge us. Although I showed him my receipt from our online reservation, he still argued with me we had not paid. The problem was resolved; however he was very rude in the process of doing so and put a damper on an otherwise peaceful vacation.”

  • Location was great for "bike week".
  • Parking spaces were minimal. Room was over-rated.

“The location was great for bike week, but the room walls were "paper thin", and the layout was poor. The refrigerator didn't work, and no microwave. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and wander elsewhere, it's not too bad, I guess. But, it was noisy on the "street side" of the bldg.”

  • Friendly staff. Clean rooms, and a nice free breakfast.
  • The parking was terrible.

“The hotel was very family orientated as well as taking care of the senior traveler. The ocean view was nice and the pool and surrounding deck were very nice the room we had was spacious and very comfortable. It is an older hotel but very well maintained.”

  • The location is beautiful and the hotel has made several upgrades since my last visit.
  • The kitchen is not supplied with dishes and the stove is rather old.

  • It's right on the ocean, and all rooms have a view of the ocean and the pool. Very clean!
  • There was no microwave.

“There was some noise due to renovation and the building of a condo next door. The motel will be very sharp once the renovation is complete. The staff was excellent in meeting our needs. Their "hot" continental breakfast had a great variety of foods including sausage gravy and biscuits and was well maintained.”

“My Boyfriend and I are only 20yrs. old and dont have a ton of money to be spending on a 5 star hotel so we figured the Quality Inn Ocean Palms would be a good place to stay. NO we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, went to go check in and the lobby smelled horrible, we went to the room, it was very damp, everything was sticky the bathroom was small and the toilet had hair all over it. The Door didn't have a lock on it and the balcony door did not lock i would not leave any valuables in the room. The balcony was all rusted had garbage cigarette buds on it the chairs which were suppose to be white were black and old. We read in another review the pool was nice. No wrong again the pool area was dirty again there was trash around the pool, cigarette buds everywhere the chairs were old and werent very many. The hot tub was cold. The Beach area was better but not the best. Cars were driving up and down the beach spraying exhaust in everyones face who was laying out. After spending 10 minutes outside my boyfriend and i decided we were not staying another minute. We checked out right away but i do admit the staff behind the front desk were understanding and nice. We ended up going to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina which was a 20 compared to Daytona which i gave a 1! The whole city of Daytona was run-down and not very safe! I just want to let anyone know who plans on staying here i did read reviews before i came and i figured it couldnt of been that bad! Well take my advice it was horrible. I would not waste money or time in daytona beach especially at the Quality Inn Ocean Palms. ”

  • It is on the beach....... Breakfast was good
  • Everything..... dirty rooms, not enough chairs at the pool

“What a dump...... Our room was a joke. Had to put a towel down in the tub to take a shower that only had about 6 drops of water coming out the shower head. Our door wouldn't shut unless you pulled it. Never got to go the pool because they only had 14 chairs for the pool. Spring Breakers ran wild there. Called many time at 3 or 4 in the morning to the front desk. Please if you are thinking of staying here RUN...... I really don't know how it is called Quality Inn. NOTHING QUALITY ABOUT THIS PLACE......”
