• The staff was friendly and helpful, the facility was very clean.
• The mattress was a little lumpy and kept sliding to one side of the bed.

“I have stayed at this hotel twice now and I enjoy it. Great facility. Clean and right down the block from my son's dorm so it's very convenient for me when I visit him. I hope to stay here again.”

• The bed was very comfortable with good quality linens. The bathroom was clean and modern.
• The key did not work on the first go around.

• Could have included continental breakfast at least.

“I stayed at this hotel for 4 total nights throughout July 2008. I was extremely pleased with the hotel in all aspects, especially at that price. It is right across from the Volusia Mall, on the main strip of all stores and restaurants and a quick 10 minute jaunt to the beach. Even though it directly next to the DB airport, I heard no noise while inside the hotel and little while out.”

• It was clean and the location was near a lot of restaurants.
• Most of the restaurants near by close at 11pm.

“The pool and other facilities were well kept. I enjoyed my time there. It was a comfortable environment. I would go there again. There was nothing so great. But there was nothing bad at all.”

“This property is centrally located to Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, the Daytona International Speedway and the Daytona Beach International Airport. The rooms are backed up against where the small planes gas and test their engines before taxing.”

• Efficient pleasant staff, clean, nice pool area.
• No continental breakfast, supplies not kept up at coffee area.

“I would definitely stay there again. Pool and hot tub were great. Staff very efficient and friendly. Did not like lack of free continental breakfast. I have stayed in much less expensive hotels that offered that service. The only real negative.”

• Did not appreciate having to wake up the night front desk person to check-out at 4 a.m.

“Our son attends Embry Riddle University which is right across the street Great location and fit the cleanliness and comfort of all the other Courtyards that we have visited through the years. Our only disappointment came at ck. out time when we not only had to wake up the front desk person who was asleep in a chair in the greeting area but then couldn't pull up my account to get my receipt. Not his fault but nonetheless it delayed our departure.”

• The pool and ocean that are directly behind the hotel.
• Not having the ability of self parking, valet service became costly after a few days.

“My family and I traveled from Boston to Miami on vacation yearly, the Marco Polo made the experience that more enjoyable. We have a 9 and 2 year old boys, the ability to walk them to the pools and the ocean was wonderful. The front desk staff was not very friendly as reported on other reviews (that is true), but who cares. The room was great, the housekeeping department did a great job for us, we stayed 6 nights. Valet parking and our inability not to self park was an inconvenience and became costly. Overall, I would stay there again on future trips. Great, well kept property.”

• Air Condition didn't circulate air well.

“Overall, it was a very nice stay. Hotel was convenient to a lot of restaurants and mall. However the cleaning staff did not clean the balcony where a cup of cigarette butts were left and the room had a slight smell of cigarettes. The air condition did not circulate the air very well. Nonetheless, I would stay there again. The pool was nice and the dining area was nice.”

• Starbucks coffee available in the lobby and room close to amenities like elevator & pool.
• I thought it might have at least a small refrigerator; another Marriott CY I stayed at had one, & another hotel (2-star) we stayed at on this trip had.

“Nice, comfortable, very clean room. Not quite as large a room as the Two star hotel in Daytona Beach- that one was right on the beach- that we also stayed at, but this 3-star had more attractive, newer, exterior areas and more amenities, like a Jacuzzi and a workout facility. I regret I didn't get to use the latter, so I can't give an accurate review. The room was quiet, too, even with the very close proximity to the airport (practically on the tarmac). The enclosed courtyard/pool area was its own little getaway, with lots of palms and plants. Overall, I'd love to stay there again.”

• The morning staff was very friendly and helpful.
• No hot water the first night or morning. The desk was not helpful when notified at midnight.

“Overall, the hotel was very nice, clean, and pleasant. The only negative was notifying the desk at midnight that there was not hot water and then waking the next morning to find that it had not been repaired. Absolutely no inconvenience the next two nights.”

• Heavy marijuana smell was on our floor for the duration of trip, mgmt said they could do nothing.

“Our trip was tolerable. We were in town for our daughter's graduation. We were very pleased with the location of the hotel and the amenities. But our trip was spoiled with heavy partying and marijuana smoking on the last night of our trip. We reported the incident to the front desk. They said there was nothing they could do. One of the mgrs sprayed disinfectant in the hallway, but we were uncomfortable the entire night. I had to sit up all night account I had trouble breathing because of the heavy smoke.”

• Easy to find, very clean, had 2 computers in the business center and a great indoor pool.
• We liked everything.

“The hotel is very close to the airport and racetrack, therefore, very easy to find, but not noisy at all. The rooms had lovely newer bedding. The indoor pool was great. Parking was close to the front door. The breakfast buffet was really good and the service was outstanding in the restaurant and at the front desk.”

• Pretty room, good TV, free wireless, excellent bed, helpful staff.
• Offers continental or eggs-to-order breakfast for about $9.00. Same is free at some chain hotels.

“Our favorite place to stay in Daytona Near the international speedway and airport, but room was quiet. Room was not large, but was very attractively decorated and had a very comfortable bed plus good TV and a comfortable desk with wireless access. Our third stay--consistently excellent.”

“The appearance, proximately to everything, staff and facility were wonderful. It was quiet being by the airport and racetrack, clean, great facility to hang out by the pool & hot tub with a phone for convenience accessible. Having a business centre with internet access was absolutely wonderful as we required its use. The staff was all very polite & accommodating. ”

• Noisy. High school age group, apparently unchaparoned, disturbed us.

• The hotel was 'crispy' clean - well organized, professional, had REALLY good coffee with REAL creamer 24/7. Restaurant food very good.
• I couldn't take it with me for the rest of my trip.

“Well organized, clean, a block from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Last time we went to the beach front, and had a sub-standard, expensive room. Rooms were clean, and what you expect at a 3* + hotel. You can eat from full breakfast bar, or order items independently. There is a nice pool area and spa, two separate 'sitting areas' in the lobby, both conducive to relaxing and visiting. It WILL be my hotel of choice ANY time I go back to ERAU.”

• Coffee in lounge 24/7 and computer with Internet access in the lounge. Very clean hotel and courteous staff. Good wine selection in the bar.
• Frogs came out at dusk by the pool. Would loved to have check out later then noon.

“This hotel is in the top three of my stays. Clean and fresh atmosphere. The breakfast had many healthy options. All staff was courteous Bedding was the bomb! Only complaint is that check out could have been later. PS Excellent wine selection at the bar, computer with Internet access and coffee 24/7 in lobby lounge. :)”
