Tammy from Princeton, WV
“The appearance of the lobby is deceiving when it comes to representing the hotel overall. My room was very dingy and the carpet had not been swept in the corners for a period of time. The overall appearance was less than what I expected based on previous stays at similar hotels and star ratings. The mattress was very worn.” Jun 9, 2007 by
Chuck from Goodlettesville, TN
“A below average motel with poor cleanliness in the room and minimal amenities.” May 12, 2007 by
Robert from Conway, SC
“Older hotel.” Apr 26, 2007 by
Natalie from Martinsburg, WV
“Just off two major highways 81 and 77. Half-way between GA and WV makes for a great stopping place.” Apr 12, 2007 by
Kelly from Boyne City, MI
“We were only given 3 large towels for the 4 of us. Pillows were not firm but the bed was okay. Although the room was older, it was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again but I will bring my own coffee filters just in case.” Apr 9, 2007 by
Sandra from Rootstown, OH
“We could hear the people next door coughing and sneezing all night - walls way too thin. Curtains hardly covered window so had to put luggage on both ends to block the lights of cars at night coming in room. One night was plenty!” Jan 18, 2007 by
Laura from Indianapolis, IN
“Plus, once we reached Wytheville, the price was only minutely lower than the off the street price.” Dec 19, 2006 by
Thomas from Tallahassee, FL
“I would not stay there again especially in view of the fact that there was a very nice looking Hampton right across the street.” Nov 20, 2006 by
Roger from Weiner, AR
“Good place to stay, friendly staff, good hotel after all” Oct 27, 2006 by
Jane from Knoxville, TN
“They would not refund difference. This hotel was in an incontinent location. Difficult to find. The bed was terrible. Asked for two doubles or queen. Got one double, hotel was the worst experience ever. The bed was very uncomfortable. The sheets easily came off the bed. Hotel was completely booked so could not change rooms. Restaurant on premises was awful. The wait staff was nice, but the milk was spoiled. They need a health inspector. Several other hotels in the area seemed much nicer. Had I not paid already, I would have changed hotels. I would have done better to drive all night than stay here.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 17, 2006 by

“My husband and I needed a place to sleep for the night while traveling to the races in Charlotte NC. This was fine for a one night visit, but I wouldn't book this hotel for a vacation or for more than one night.” Sep 18, 2006 by
Kenneth from Chattanooga, TN
“While the lobby was attractive, we were put in the back of the hotel. It was dark (several of the lights in the parking lot were out) and we were the only car. The room was shabby, the mattress awful, thin towels, minimal amenities, etc. In the morning when asked how we enjoyed the stay and we responded the clerk asked "Why did they put you in the old section? The rest of the hotel has been renovated". ” Aug 21, 2006 by
Daniel from Canal Winchester, OH
“The staff was nice however they gave me a smoking room 1st off and that had to be switched. The second room was old, dirty, and had lots of mold in the bathroom.” Aug 16, 2006 by
Lisa from Finleyville, PA
“We asked for a rollaway bed at check-in around 6pm. She charged me $10.00, which I paid in cash. She didn't give me a receipt, just told me I didn't need one. Despite several calls to housekeeping & 2 visits back to the front desk, we didn't get the rollaway until well after midnight. Same thing with bath towels.” Jun 23, 2006 by
John from Chapin, SC
“It was a great location, however, the fact the bed sheets were too small and the floor had not been cleaned made us fill a little funny. It did have nice bath.” Jun 7, 2006 by
Dan from Myrtle Beach, SC
“They have a nice restaurant & bar in the hotel, and you don't have to leave to eat or have a night cap before retiring.” Jun 6, 2006 by
Bryan from Rootstown, OH
“This is simply a place to sleep with no frills. However, I thought it was a little pricey for that.” Jun 2, 2006 by
Leona from Mt. Pleasant, PA
“Good for quick sleep, & to hit the road again. Good Restaurant inside.” Apr 19, 2006 by
Lee from Gladwin, MI
“It was just seedy looking and not the cleanest.”
