• Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
• Room was very dusty and only had smoking rooms left.

“Overall, the hotel would have been okay. The only problem was there was only 1 room left and it was a smoking room. I had to stay at another hotel because I have allergies and I couldn't go to my job interview smelling like cigarette smoke. There was also large amounts of dust on the ceilings. It looked like it hadn't been dusted in quite some time.”

• To many stairs, not enough towels.

“If you plan on staying for business go for it, close to Zoo and a few miles to shopping and down town. Rooms are very dark and dreary, needs some updating. Staff won't give you clean towels until you take them old towels, a problem when you are taking showers and there aren't enough towels to start with!”

• It was old, dirty and felt unsafe.

“Should not be a 2-star hotel. We did not feel safe staying there. Out of the mouths of babes, I am a woman traveling with a child, so we wound up staying somewhere else.”

• Kid friendly.
• They did not check on the swimming pool guests after the pool was supposed to be closed.

“The walls are very thin. Above of heads, you could hear everything happening. Ended up hearing a violent fight in progress and had to call the police to stop it. Not the hotels fault, and they handled it in the correct manner.”

• AC gave off funny smell.

“The AC gave off a smell. It had a kitchen so that was a plus. Pretty much an ok cheap hotel.”

• Large rooms.
• Dirty, room had a very unpleasant odor, shabby looking.

“This should say it all: we checked into the room at 4:00 pm and checked out at 5:00 pm. The room reeked of smoke, the bathroom reeked of urine, the walls needed painting, and it was located in a questionable part of town.”

“This is not a hotel I would recommend. It is old and needs repair in a number of areas. In addition, it was not clean. Even if it might have been clean in some areas, we never would have seen it because the general appearance of the room and common areas was so unattractive.”

“The hotel is poorly maintained. Ventilation is poor-the entire hallway smelled of cigarettes. The lobby, hall and rooms have stained carpet.”

• Large room.
• No elevator and we stayed on the 3rd floor.

“The room was spacious and clean, although quite bare of any extras. The bed was quite comfortable and firm, although it would have been nice to have extra pillows (only 2 pillows provided). The couch made a pull out bed which was nice for our teenage daughter, but again, only one pillow provided. An elevator would have been nice, since we were on the 3rd floor. I wasn't expecting to have to climb stairs! We did have a very noisy neighbor, but one phone call to the office and the noise stopped immediately. We stayed only one night and didn't use the kitchen in our room, but for more than one night or a long vacation, the kitchen would have been great to have. Overall, the facilities were fine for 2-star accommodations. The place was clean with a comfortable bed. That's all we wanted, really.”

• Just off of interstate.
• I did not feel that the area was accurately represented.

“Disinterested staff. I called for directions and the staff told me to stop and ask someone directions. This was at 10:30 pm. Room was spacious and adequate. Everything slightly below expectation.”

“This hotel is great for a work crew who will be staying weeks due to work. For the business traveler this hotel is terrible. I actually left and went to another hotel because I did not feel comfortable staying in this nasty room or hotel. I would not refer anyone to this hotel!”

• Location to zoo, restaurants and shopping.
• Tiny TV screen, no free wireless, room not soundproof.

“The hotel is in a good location to the zoo. There are no elevators so if your room is on the third floor you will have to lug your bags up a few flights of stairs. There is no free wireless and the TV in our room was very small. Room had lots of room and full kitchen was very convenient. People in room next to us were making quite a bit of noise at 1 AM and the walls do not silence the noise. Hotel staff was called and they quickly went to the room and tried to quiet the people down. There is no complimentary breakfast but there was coffee in the lobby which was a nice touch. Overall the hotel was OK.”

• Location is only real positive aspect.
• Noise, night staff, basketball team kept me up & staff didn't answer the phone.

“It was a Saturday night and I was pleased at first, but then just before midnight a basketball team came in and kept me up until 4 AM, when I was supposed to be leaving to pick my Fiancée up at the train station. I didn't get any sleep until returning from the station. I had tried to call hotel staff on several occasions but no one was in the office that night. It was horrible! I complained the next morning and all that was said was oh, well they should've told you about the team on your floor and given you the option to choose another room at check-in (which they did not). I had to complain to corporate through the Internet website to get anything done about the problems I encountered. I would consider staying at one of their other properties, but never that one again!”

“Good location, though Waffle House is the only close-by restaurant, suite with kitchenette is nice (had all the tools and gadgets you'd need), staff was helpful. No complaints for the price.”

• The room was large and had great open spaces.
• The room was dark & had several improperly working outlets and torn window screens.

• Nothing. We didnt stay here. After complaining about the room, the front desk attendant offered to move our reservation to a different location.
• Dirty. For two young women. Scary.

“I did not stay here. After checking in, we went to our room. It had dirt and hair in the bathroom on the cabinet doors. The phone didnt work and was stuck to the table (but not on purpose-from something sticky/dirty on the table). We left immediately.”

• It was a nice place to spend a night on our way home.
• The room appeared dark because of the dark carpet.

“The staff was very friendly. The hotel wasn't particularly bright or attractive. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was clean. The bed was comfortable and they provided extra blankets. The lighting wasn't very bright.”

• The hotel was old and the office is not open late.

“My husband and I pulled in at 3:00 in the morning. The office was not open, but using their phone system, we were able to call on a clerk who got us checked in. It took a while, but he was gracious. The room was clean and quite. The only issue we had was when we tried to check out. There was a note that the clerk would be back in a few minutes. We waited and waited and waited. Finally a maid came in and let us into the office. The clerk was just sitting at her desk. We waited half and hour and we were on a tight deadline, so I was annoyed.”

• It was easy to find.
• You should have a rating for no stars this hotel would qualify. The hotel was so ratty in appearance it should not be on your list!

“The hall ways were filled with the smell of tobacco smoke from times past (just like my non-smoking room). The house keeping staff knocked once on the door at 8:45 am on a holiday morning then barged in.”

“The run in the room was so dirty you needed your shoes on at all times. The kitchen floor and the kitchen itself were beyond dirty; the bathroom floor was also dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere. I called on 8/31/07 and told the hotel staff I had checked out as soon as my cell phone had signal. I would not tell my friends about this place!”

“Two rooms over night. Saw a roach in each one. Staff was very good. I have used this same hotel for several years- it needs a do over very badly. I use it because the rooms have recliners and I have a bad back. If you stay on the bottom floor, you hear everyone who takes a shower as the water pipes are noisy.”

• This motel had a sofa sleeper so son had a place to sleep.
• Motel did not make beds.

“This motel was much roomier and cleaner than our first room in Knoxville. Staff also knew I was unpleased with my stay in other city so they was extra friendly. Pool was being refinished we was sad about that, but understand things need repaired at times. The second day there we found out they do not refresh your rooms bed unmade no fresh towels etc. Customer does this, when on vacation I want fun I do not want to make my own bed and chase down new towels. This was only flaw of this stop.”

“The room was very outdated. It looked old and worn out. It was the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The refrigerator door couldn't be opened very far because it hit the oven door. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“The room was as expected: clean, roomy, and comfortable. The hallway on the floor where my room was located strongly smelled of stale cigarette smoke. The location of the hotel was convenient but the lighting was dim and I did not feel especially safe returning to my room from the parking area after dark.”

• We had a lot of space and my wife could even cook in quite big kitchen.
• There was no breakfast.
