• Clean. Excellent pillows, linens and mattress. Spacious room.
• Charge for parking. Hotel a little far for walking to historic downtown Savannah.

• Easy to locate in Savannah and parking was plentiful.
• Mold on the shower curtain (just a little, but still).

“Conveniently located along the river in downtown Savannah. Easy walk to the free ferry shuttle and the Riverwalk. Hotel staff was friendly. Room and bathroom was nice but not updated. A/C worked well and plenty of hot water.”

• Comfortable bed.
• Very noisy because of location of hotel air conditioners which were on roof right outside of window.

“We were a bit disappointed because of the location of the room was very noisy and a little dated. Wallpaper in disrepair. Bathroom was nice but did not have ventilation fan. Also had to pay $18.00 to park.”

• The lobby area was very beautiful and very well air conditioned.
• The rooms could use updating.

• Check in was fast and friendly.
• Felt like a second class citizen and could not complain b/c they would rebuff my dis-satisfaction as a 'priceline customer"

“The hotel was not a 3.5 PLUS hotel by my standards. The rooms where poorly decorated. Our room had a horrible view of the A/C units and other hotel walls. We were right next to the elevator and heard guests coming and going all night long.”

• Indoor swimming pool for the kids.
• My view was overlooking a sea of AC units.

“Attended a wedding in Savannah and stayed two nights at the hotel. It was kid friendly with not only an outside pool, but also an indoor pool with a hot tub. Only a 10 minute walk to the shops on the riverwalk. Spa located in the hotel had resonable prices. Expect to pay for parking. Don't expect a view.”

• The king bed was very comfortable.
• Did not like the $9.99 fee for internet use.

“The accommodations were very nice. Although I believe the carpet in my room had been recently cleaned as it felt damp. My room overlooked the atrium which had the bar and an indoor pool. The atrium also had a large space that I assumed was to accommodate special events, but looked a bit warehouse, as it was empty. The staff was always courteous and ready to help.”

“We had a few problems with this hotel. We had no refrigerator in our room & they brought one but left on floor & was very old & an eyesore. We left a note for the maid on the floor that we had 3 women and please leave extra cups & coffee and this wasn't done.”

“The hotel was very nicely furnished, comfortable and had a very helpful concierge. The hotel had a cushy, comfortable bed with a very nice comforter on it like many of the hotels are starting to do. The downside of that is the comforter is too warm to sleep under and it was too cool to sleep with just a sheet, the room was not large but was comfortable. It is very well set up for a business traveler. The bathroom is large and there were luxurious towels. The downside of the hotel is the price of parking every day.”

• Didn't offer add'l double bed after promising one over phone.

“I called directly to confirm that we needed 2 double beds. They told me they would have this ready for us. When we checked in, they didn't have any availability, so my family of 4 cammed into one bed and one hideaway bed for 2 nights. Staff was friendly, but couldn't deliver.”

• The rooms were quiet at night and the hotel staff was very friendly.
• The pool was in the lobby of the hotel and therefore the lobby was quite loud

“The rooms were large and well appointed although dark due to fronting toward the lobby. Although the lobby was loud due to the pool, it was well appointed and the staff were friendly and accommodating.”

• Good value for the price.
• Lost power and water while there - insufficient generator.

“The staff was accomodating at check in and the hotel is clean and attractive, however it is the furthest from the Riverwalk restaurants and shops so not convenient for travelers. It does not have a sufficient back-up generator as the hotel lost power and water did not work, making it an unpleasant stay.”

• Very convenient to River St. in Savannah.
• High-speed internet 9.99 extra. Parking 15/day extra.

“I really enjoyed my weekend at the Marriott Savannah Riverfront. I will not return to this hotel. The reason is the cost. After paying well over 200/night, I expect to be able use high speed internet and park my car for free. Where I normally lodge in Savannah (La Quinta) I pay around 80/night and get free internet, parking as well as free continental breakfast. To have the same experience at the Marriott, It ends up costing 300+ a night.”

• Had to change rooms due to slow bathtub drain.

“Walls thin can hear people from down the hall and in other rooms conversing. Quality of room upkeep lower than a standard I would expect for this type of hotel. Located to far from restaurants and parks i.e. more than a slight stroll.”

• The spa at the facility was excellent.
• Parking prices excessive.

“Our housekeeper spoke very little English but was eager to please (and honest). She pointed at items to make sure that is what we wanted. My mom left pearl earrings on desk when we went out and they were still there when we returned after room was cleaned. Restaurant food was fair but view of river was nice. If have handicap parking tag make sure to mention it - parking is less expensive.”

• Great location and comfort.
• None that I can think of.

“I loved the location because there's an excitement directly from the hotel to a walkway that leads straight to River Street. Yet the hotel is just far enough away from all the activity to provide a nice respite. All of the staff we met were very courteous and helpful. Our room was big and very comfortable. A really nice stay all the way around.”

• The customer service was great.
• The ceiling of our room was molded and discolored.

“The location was very convenient to the historic district and we had a beautiful view of the Savannah River. The parking was price considering the cost of the hotel you wouldn't expect to have to pay for parking when you've already paid that much for the hotel room. But all in all, we enjoyed our stay, the hotel was very modern and up to date with the design and style.”

• The view of the Savannah river was great. My kids enjoyed watching the huge ships come floating by.
• I wish the outdoor pool had been on the river side of the hotel. I did not like that it sat out by the parking lot and it was rather small.

“Great place to stay with kids. The view of the Savannah river is great. The kids loved watching the big ships coming into port and seeing the alligator that lives in the river outside of the hotel. Also the food served at the hotel's restaurant was excellent.”

• The location was fabulous - along the river but out of the fray.
• Could not open the windows in the room - the A/C froze us.

“Wonderful hotel. Its location along the river is perfect - beautiful views of the harbor without all of the noise and activity of the main section of River Street. The patio overlooking the river is a wonderfully romantic place to sip cocktails and watch the ships set sail. Room service was delicious. I'd definitely stay here again.”

“Marriot Savannah Riverfront is head & shoulders above anywhere my wife and I have stayed in the last four years in Savannah. The room was lavish. The view onto the 8 story atrium and Savannah River was breathtaking. The attention to detail by the staff was immaculate. The proximity to River Street and the Squares was convenient. The Trolley Tour actually dropped us off at the Hotel! We were treated to complimentary room service wine and cheese...TWICE.”
