“The hotel was clean, relaxing and had a beautiful view of the river. Ferry service was convenient and non-stop.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Liz from Bell Gardens, CA
“This is an upscale hotel that is right by the river. A complimentary ferry will take you across the river right into the River St. area of Savannah. Lots of activities to unwind here at night.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Julia from Gainesville, FL
“Caution should be given to sand fly "season" since any outdoor activities were extremely unpleasant. Not much to actually do at the hotel but the water taxi was convenient and our view of the golf course was beautiful.” Apr 15, 2008 by
William from Haslett, MI
“Beautiful hotel located directly on the river with access to old historic Savannah via a complimentary ferry ride across the river.” Apr 13, 2008 by
Tony from Akron, OH
“This was a golf and tennis resort. It was very nice, but it would have been better if they had some accommodation for the common sightseer such as we were. Service charge of $20 per day was for golf and tennis services and other that we did not use. Also, a man carried bags from the car to the door and another from the door to the room. Both had to be tipped. When I tried to use a luggage rack, I was told those were only for the staff. There things took away from the pleasures we should have had from such a lovely place. On the positive side. The water taxi to Historic Savannah was convenient.” Apr 11, 2008 by
Maryjane from Decatur, GA
“Hotel was described as a resort and it was in a good minimalist kind of way. The pool and surround was very nice. I loved that we could have room service. The food offered in the lounge was a bit limited, and that's ok but wish they had offered a simple salad. Some of the offerings were not as well presented as they could have been i.e. free golf balls to hit, gym available in nearby bldg. It was listed but took me a few days to figure it all out.” Apr 7, 2008 by
Jack from Davie, FL
“Upscale well-maintained resort hotel with all the expected amenities. The free ferry across the river to the Savannah historic district was very pleasant, fast, and convenient.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Nathan from Atlanta, GA
“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin. Short ferry ride across the river to town (left every 20 minutes) took only 90 seconds. Very convenient. Avoided limited/expensive parking in historic district. Free parking at hotel. Fire pit, hammocks, and Jacuzzi by pool were very nice. Wonderful property. Very elegant/contemporary public spaces. Room very comfortable. Heavenly bed. Restaurants at hotel very expensive.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Yvonne from Dublin, GA
“I always love staying at Westin. Everything is always what I expect, and they have great coffee in the rooms. Thank you.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Derriel from Savannah, GA
“Too pricey, have had a lot better stay at nicer resorts for less money.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Robert from Port Glasgow GB
“First class but could supply breakfast at the prices charged.” May 10, 2007 by
Linda from Brunswick, GA
“We had wanted a room with a balcony facing the river, but they had a golfers playing that weekend. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We loved it so much that we will be going back again.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 19, 2007 by

“I will never return to this hotel. I paid a high price for a hotel that was of equal quality as a less expensive holiday inn. If I wanted holiday inn, I would have gone to the holiday inn. The view of the river was great, but not worth the price. There was kills on over half the ceiling and at the top of the walls. Water marks in the ceiling corners. There was mold in the bathroom tile. Bed ruffle was torn with holes at the seams. The staff is rude and basically tells you to live with it because there are no refunds. Never again will I stay at this Westin. I will be returning to the area in two weeks but, I will to stay there!” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 14, 2007 by

“I wanted my savannah experience to be awesome. I was excited about visiting savannah for the 1st time. But, I was disappointed with western¿s accommodations, although the staff was great and very helpful. The accommodations were low rate. The rooms were very small and not very clean. The heavenly bed down comforters had stains on them. The shower was dirty and I wasn't impressing with the supposedly 4 star hotels. I expected much more from a hotel of this caliber. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Although the ferry service was fun and easily accessible. Westin needs to renovate and get it together because for the price you want more luxury.” Apr 2, 2007 by
Ginny from Provincetown, MA
“We had a marvelous stay at the west in. The location was convenient and the 90 second ferry to the river walk was fun and free. The view of the savannah river from our balcony was exquisite and very romantic. We loved our time and we treasured the staff when were so very accomadating. The best resort we have stayed at!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 14, 2007 by

“The room is very nice and with the view of the river this room would have been well worth the money. The air did not work and the room was hot other people were complaining when we checked in. At night the heat turned on and it smelt like it was burning. The room was also very loud. You could not sleep because the hallways were so loud.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 7, 2007 by

“Beautiful but deteriorating facility. Isolated but safe location. Great staff, beautiful Christmas decorations. Frayed hall carpet, small rooms for a 4 star resort. Westin can and has done much better elsewhere.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 21, 2006 by

“Modern, beautiful, clean. Rooms not very large, but okay. Surprised by the resort fee.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 11, 2006 by

“The rooms are small but well appointed. The Christmas decorations are fabulous, and the gingerbread village was wonderful. The spa is very nice.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 1, 2006 by

“The facility was very dirty. Our room was never cleaned from the night before. All the amenities that were suppose to be included in my room were not there, nor were any of our dinner reservations made. The staff was rude and unapologetic. I will never stay here again!!” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Mar 16, 2006 by

“Ernest in valet parking area most helpful and responsive. Room's view was great!! River front room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only negative is as above. We would have stayed another night there but did not want to pay the increased rate on a weekday. Hotel was not full. Realize this info came from front desk who was only doing what she was told. Hopefully, this issue can be resolved with future patrons.” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Feb 28, 2006 by

“Beautiful hotel and great location. We were staying there to attend the boat show which was taking place in the Convention Center and the docks adjoining the hotel. I was disappointed in the fact that there were burned out light bulbs in our room. Not what one would expect for over $200 per night.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Dec 18, 2005 by

“The hotel staff were very helpful and serving. It was extremely clean and comfortable. The entertainment was nice (the fireworks display).” 2 of 3 people found this review helpful.Dec 1, 2005 by

“Hotel is very nice, but not as convenient as others to the city. Food and all else is very expensive and not worth the money. Had ordered champagne for the room upon our arrival which they said would be there. Never made it to our room, they said they had forgotten. For a resort hotel, this is not one of the better ones I have been to.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 30, 2005 by

“Clean, beautiful, wonderful, excellent. The staff, the food, the view, the location were all exceptional, I can't wait to go back again. It was the best trip we've ever been on.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 29, 2005 by

“The hotel was beautiful, well maintained and exceptionally clean. The lobby and grounds were well manicured. The views were exceptional.” Nov 24, 2005 by
Elizabeth C. from Jacksonville, FL
“The location is close to the historic district but you have to take a ferry to get across the river. The ferry stops crossing at 10 pm and the cab ride back is around $20 dollars. The hotel appeared clean but then we had a roach in our room (on the 10th floor). There is also a $16 dollar resort fee at time of check out. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.” Nov 18, 2005 by
Cheryl from Largo, FL
“The hotel for the most part was very nice. We were disappointed in our initial night because the room was dirty with the bed linens on the floor, etc. We waited for 45 minutes for housekeeping to arrive, we also requested a 2nd robe which never came --even though we were told they would bring it up. All in all though, we enjoyed our stay, we loved sitting outside and listening to the music. Wait staff seemed most helpful.” Nov 17, 2005 by
Gregory from Merritt Island, FL
“My only disappointment was that the hotel charged me an extra $15 per night amount for "facility charges", which included things like tennis and the golf range. I didn't expect this extra "mandatory charge" and I didn't have time to use these facilities.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Nov 16, 2005 by

“My mother and I took a trip to Savannah and had the pleasure of staying in the Westin for the weekend. I probably would not of stayed here since the hotel is a bit pricey. We chose to use valet the first day but changed our minds about using them the second day due to the 15.00 a day fee. It was just as easy to drop off luggage at door and park your car personally. The views were fantastic, we were on the 6th floor overlooking the golf course. I imagine the view overlooking the Savannah Harbor was even more breathtaking, maybe next time we'll try that view. I will definitely be staying here again if I can get the same deal, except next time I'm bringing my hubby.” Nov 16, 2005 by
Curt from Greensboro, NC
“Total experience was excellent.” Nov 13, 2005 by
Lillian from Decatur, GA
“The reservation was overlooking the golf course, but when we arrived before check-in, he room was not ready. We decided to take the free water ferry into Savannah, and the desk clerk found me to tell me she had a room with a view of the city. It was on the top floor, and it was amazing both at night and during the day. Such a beautiful place to stay. We were more interested in crossing the river and walking around the city, but we should have stayed another night. The resort had hammocks by the pool and beautiful grounds. I even saw croquet sets for playing in the grass. You can even walk down onto the dock to be really close to the water.” Nov 12, 2005 by
Chris from Alpharetta, GA
“A great place for a romantic night. The Staff takes great care of you. You can take the water taxi over to Savannah Riverfront anytime. You get a great view and the beds are the best. It's first class all the way.” Nov 9, 2005 by
Joyce from Jacksonville, FL
“This was our first visit to this hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was perfectly located as we did not move our car once after we arrived. The entire staff was very helpful and the room was more than we expected. My only change would be to have the work out facility located in the hotel. Easily accessible for late night or early morning work outs.” Nov 7, 2005 by
Jeff &. from Roswell, GA
“Great location, fun ride across the river to downtown. However, they consider nonsmoking to be a suggestion not an important request.” Nov 5, 2005 by
Ed from Woodstock, GA
“Billing surprises, and an billing for something I did not use, was not a happy experience. Problem was subsequently resolved with corporate, as on site management would not respond to many calls and messages.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Nov 3, 2005 by
Barbara from St. Petersburg, FL
“The hotel was fine, but they charged an amenities fee, used or not that was over and above what we paid to you. I don't remember any mention of having to pay more than what we'd agreed to online.” Nov 2, 2005 by
Kris from Jacksonville, FL
“The design and layout of this hotel are beautiful. It is a newer property with a nice golf course located across the river from Savannah's Historic district. The staff could have been nicer. The front desk clerk stated that there would be a $20 up charge to have a room on the river side. The room was not cleaned well, coffee was spilled on the vanity, towels had stains on them, hair was present on the bathroom floor. The beds were very comfortable. Overall rating B.” Oct 26, 2005 by
Scott from Mcdonough, GA
“This hotel is fabulous. Being situated across the river from River Street, the view was fantastic. We were treated with great care and the room was very clean and comfortable. I would recommend the Westin to anyone.” Oct 21, 2005 by
Peggy from Greenville, SC
“The hotel was lovely and the view from our room was spectacular, however, I do believe the hotel has some kinks to work out. I did like the feeling of being at a resort, but with easy access to the city of Savannah.” Oct 19, 2005 by
David from Kennewick, WA
“The Westin Savannah Harbor is about as perfect as one could wish. The staff goes out of their way to greet you, the rooms are beautiful, ferry ride to historic Savannah. This is about as five star as a hotel can get.” Oct 19, 2005 by
Hal from Viera, FL
“Beautiful hotel. Few services after 10 PM other than room service. Beds are uncomfortably soft. Thread count of sheets 250 is very low, sheets are scratchy, for a hotel that is supposed to be a high end resort. Ritz Carlton has them beat by a mile. River Ferry is very inconvenient if you plan on going to downtown multiple times. It is free however. Next time we'll try the Hyatt right in downtown.” Oct 19, 2005 by
Herman from Louisburg, NC
“Overall a very good experience. The hotel and staff are above average. The beds are wonderful..” Oct 17, 2005 by
Kathy from Fond Du Lac, WI
“Very nice and comfortable. Nice view of the Riverfront from the patio.” Oct 13, 2005 by
Ben from Augusta, GA
“Everything was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. All public areas were very clean and tidy. The best surprise was the true to name and heavenly bed.” Oct 12, 2005 by
Mark from San Rafael, CA
“Great spot, room very comfortable. Dining room needs to make guests feel more pampered for the prices that they charge.” Oct 12, 2005 by
Tom from Melbourne, FL
