• Accomodation, staff, location cleanliness, comfort.
• Can't do this!

“Excellent value. Great location - convenient for walking the city. Well-appointed room with very comfortable "Tempurpedic" bed - fine amenities. Accommodating and pleasant staff members. Good workout facility. Street parking possible. Restaurant appeared great, but we did not partake.”

• The location was fine.
• Only a shower and broken toilet.

“Location was fine. However I was not warned I would only have a shower in the restroom. Had I known I would have never stayed there. I had to call maintenance 3 times to fix the same problem on the toilet. Shower fell apart first time I had to use it. I am very dissatisfied.”

• Location was a plus.
• Business center overcharge for computer use.

“Bath could use updating - very poor shower. Sliding door was in poor repair. Hilton needs to spend money on this location, rooms were run down in appearance. Everything had a charge associated.”

• The lobby was beautiful, and the location was good.
• Room not vacuumed and bathtub not cleaned well. Bedding not changed.

“Hotel was nice and staff was accommodating. Room was a disappointment. Mattress pad had a stain, room not vacuumed, once during the 5 days.”

• The bell hop was excellent. He handled everything when we checked out. Made it back to conference on time.

“The hotel was very well kept and the employees were very helpful. It was a wonderful experience. When I call for a wake up call, they spoke to me by name. The little extra touches mean a lot when you are away from home.”

• Attitude of everyone at the hotel. Very helpful in finding restaurants that we wanted.

“From the front desk to the maid we enjoyed ourselves. It was our 36th anniversary and several times in Savannah first time at Hilton. Lovely room and view and great recommendations for visiting.”

• Very nice, comfortable hotel!
• Parking fees and $150 incidental fees

“The hotel itself was very nice. Nothing like any of the bad reviews I've read. The thing I wished priceline could tell you when bidding is how much parking would cost. Also, we were blindsided with a $150 hold on our credit card for incidentals. We received the money back...after our vacation!”

• Clean, comfortable, and got an upgraded room.
• Door difficult to open/close, but probably due to humidity.

“My stay was very nice. I wish it had been longer. I asked for an upgraded room at check-in, and received a nice balcony room with a GREAT view of Savannah. The bed was comfortable and clean. The show was nice. Everything was what I expecteded of a Hilton. Thank you!”

• Great foam bed.
• Hall noise heavy, very loud in room.

“Very friendly staff, nicely appointed rooms, great view over the Savannah Historic Districe. This hotel is a little far from the action but very comfortable. The people in the next room came in at 3AM every night and woke me up with a very audible 10 minute conversation in the hall. A little soundproofing would be a great addition.”

• The room was nicely decorated and had a nice balcony view.
• There was mold in the shower and the bed was a little hard.

“This was a nice hotel. The room was decorated nicely and it had a nice balcony with a great view (although I'm afraid of heights so I didn't step out onto it). The bathroom was beautiful and had a nice tile shower (instead of a tub), but I was disappointed that there was some mold in the shower. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but when I asked an information desk clerk for a map of the area, he gave me a rude answer and a staff person from the hotel standing nearby kindly handed me a map. It was a good location - just a few (maybe 7 or 8 short blocks) blocks from the river and close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The room privacy wasn't quite top notch as I could always hear people opening and shutting their doors and walking and talking in the halls. Overall, I would definitely go back to this hotel!”

• The furnishings were attractive and stylish. Nice towels, sheets, comforter.
• They allow pets. Mildew in the shower. Surfaces not clean enough.

“The service was quite friendly. They allow pets which would not please everyone. This hotel has lovely style, but it is not as clean as one would expect for 3 stars. We would not stay there again.”

• The view of the city was very nice looking toward the river.
• The rooms are not well insulated as we could hear people in the hallways easily.

“Overall a nice hotel. The noise in the hotel was bothersome. I had gotten woken up from hearing people going through the hallways and even on the balconies in rooms close to ours. I would most likely stay here again if I needed a moderately priced place to stay for a weekend getaway.”

• Small bathroom, small beds.

“We enjoyed our stay although it fell short of outstanding. It had the potential to be, but we were mostly forgotten travelers. We did not get our room serviced at all during our brief three night stay because we checked in after midnight the first night and. So, the maid staff never serviced our room despite me inquiring with a maid staff on our floor the second day we were there. Even after twice asking for fresh towels at night, they never registered that we weren't getting service until the last day. Other than that, the lobby staff seemed very friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.”

• The extra large room, beautiful views, lovely decor, friendly staff.
• It took several phone calls to get our TV to work right, but no TV was minor with the views to look at.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Every part of the hotel is beautiful, and the rooms reminded us of our stay in Rome - spacious, catering staff, beautiful views, perfectly located to walk everywhere or to catch the tour train. Would love to visit Savannah and stay at the Hilton again!”

• Nice rooms, great location, newly remodeled.
• Horrible restaurant, hallway doors a little thin.

“This hotel was newly remodeled. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, although our room didn't have a bath tub, it had a shower instead. Excellent location, within walking distance to all squares and parks and riverwalk, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of riverwalk where it was peacefully. Went for Valentines weekend and couldn't find a restaurant to save our lives. Dined at the Desoto grill (hotel restaurant) and it was the
worst food we had ever had. It was so bad that we expected Gordon Ramsey to walk out and tell us he was filming an episode of nightmare kitchens. I've never laughed so hard while wasting $100 on a dinner for two. Sometimes it's so bad you can't do anything but laugh. I would definitely stay here again and avoid the restaurant like the plague.”

“Located about 4 blocks north of historic downtown Savannah's shopping and entertainment district, this hotel offers a fantastic view and a intimate, romantic setting that's perfect for a weekend getaway. Quiet and reserved, it's also an ideal stay for business.”

• Great location.
• The front desk staff made us feel like second class citizens.

“The front desk staff was not helpful at all. I forgot to call ahead and reserve a King bed. When we got to the hotel, they said one will be available the next night. When we checked back, there were none available, but the next person they will call us the next day to try for the following night. Nobody ever followed up with us. I should have gotten their names, but the attitude was definitely an issue and I expect the management is less than stellar. Too bad because the hotel was in a great location. Be sure to ask for a renovated room. Renovations continue and the lobby was dust filled day when some old tile/carpet was being replaced.”

• Nice location close to shopping.
• The air conditioning did not work in the room!

“The hotel was going through renovations. Our floor was outdated and they had not begun the renovations on our room. The part of the hotel that was renovated looked very nice. Unfortunately, we were not in that part. The air conditioner in our room was not working properly. We called the front desk and they did get an engineer to our room. However, it was the next day before it was repaired. Later that night, it stopped working again. At least we were not there during the heat of the summer.”

• The rooms were nice and the balcony was great!
• Construction! They were working on the building and it was loud.

“The hotel was nice, but the staff was unhelpful and uninformative. There were massive renovations going on at the hotel which were really loud and intrusive. Other than that, the rooms were nice and the stay was pleasant.”

• No fan in bathroom. Shower totally fogged up the mirror.

“Our stay at the Hilton Desoto was awesome! When we arrived our room smelled smoky, but when we reported it to the front desk moved us quickly. The entire experience was great. We would return again. Great location too. We never used our car once until we were ready to leave.”

• Gym was horrible! Had to walk outside pass the pool!

• The staff is incredibly nice.
• Our bathtub had hair in it - refurbished rooms have no tub.

“Wonderful location - an older hotel but very accommodating. The staff is so nice, and they try very hard. One of the dining room employees took extra time to explain a bit about Savannah's attractions went out of his way to get us brochures on tours and sightseeing. I wish we had gotten his name. The newly refurbished rooms are naturally the nicest but the ones we saw had no bathtubs. We only had breakfast, but it was very good. We would stay there again.”
