• We slept in well comfortable bed.
• The microwave did not work and there was no ironing board.

“We stayed three nights slept well in comfortable bed and quiet area. It was only a few minutes from the convention center and old downtown. The room wasn't super perfect but it was sufficient. Staff extremely curtious. I'd stay again.”

• Beds were great.
• When we requested something from front office (towels) they'd send someone an hour later.

• Receptionist at the front counter was very helpful.
• If you are traveling with a trailer there is not very much extra parking for large vehicles.

“For the very short amount of time I spent in the hotel, I enjoyed my stay. Beds were very comfy, for it not being my bed I had no problem falling asleep and staying asleep. On thing I did not like was the there is very limited parking. I had a trailer with me and there was no where really safe to park my vehicle without blocking other peoples vehicles.”

• The receptionist working at the front desk was very helpful in our situation.
• We felt that the room lacked in cleanliness.

“The hotel did not appear to be on the clean side, and within 10 minutes of being there we found a roach and dirty towels left over in our room. There was also old dry cleaning still hanging up in the closet and the bed sheets were damp. We got switched to another room which was cleaner than the first but still not up to the standards.”

• Hot showers.
• The room need a lot of repairs.

“The bathroom door striker was not in line. So the door would not close all the way. The shower head leaked. There was a hole in the wall were the fire alarm was suppose to be mounted. I expected more for 100 a night.”

• The bed and the pillows was great and very comfortable for sleep.
• Mole in celling, bathroom to small, carpet not clean, light bulbs out.

“I requested a refrigerator for my medicine and was problem one and I was told that it was delivered to my room but I never received it. I had to walk in the rain and put my medication in my friends room. I had to take my shots at 10:00 pm every night and it was very inconvenience for me to continue to walk out at night to put my medicine in the refrigerator that late at night.”

• The hotel takes pets, and is reasonably clean and comfortable, especially the bed.
• Nothing comes to mind. It is not luxurious, but fine.

“When traveling with a pet, one's options are limited, but this hotel meets our minimum standards. It is clean, has a comfortable bed, offers free parking, and is convenient to the historic district. Many pet friendly hotels sacrifice cleanliness. La Quinta does a pretty good job in that area.”

• Just a couple blocks from where I needed to be.
• Parking spaces are too small.

• The room was absolutely spotless.
• Door opens to the outside.

“This hotel is a great value, it is convenient to many restaurants, Downtown Savannah, and Hunter Army Airfield. The staff is courteous and the rooms are immaculate.”

• The bathroom was quite small and had a leak in the ceiling.

• The hotel was a wonderful experience combine with a staler breakfast, speed service, close to all the great locations in Savannah!

• Housekeeping staff was terrible. Those people had terrible attitudes and acted like they were doing the guest a favor.

“Would never stay at this hotel again. Housekeeping staff was terrible. As Americans we complain about illegal aliens but that hotel needs to hire some illegal aliens. They would do a better job of cleaning. The employees had a very bad attitude. Cover of air condition units had separated from the unit and all the dust was exposed. Housekeeping cleaned the room but never reported it to maintenance. I would not waste my money again.”

• The staffs were all very nice and helpful.
• Beds were uncomfortable and rooms were not cleaned better at check in.

“The hotel staff was great. All were very helpful in every way. Rooms could have been cleaner at check-in. A pair of flip flops was found that a previous guest had left. Bathroom floor looked as if it needed mopped. Bed was extremely soft. Breakfast was good, nice variety. Probably would stay again only if we could not find another hotel in area. Again, staff was great.”

“The hotel was clean. We always had fresh towels daily. The beds were made when we returned. The pool was clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We would stay at this hotel again.”

• The hotel was close to the attractions in the city.
• I prefer rooms that open from the inside of the building.

“The hotel was great for my family. We had my mother-in-law with us so it was convenient to have ground floor rooms. It was close to the restaurants we wanted to visit & close to historic savannah.”

• It was convenient to get to historic Savannah.
• It was extremely loud where we were.

“The hotel was nice and convenient. However, we stayed on the first floor and heard absolutely everything that went on. I was often awaken by some random noise; whether it be people carrying on a conversation right outside our window, diesel trucks backing in to the restaurant next door, or a very annoying yapping dog in the room next to us. Needless to say, I didn't sleep very well. I strongly suggest requesting a room on the top floor away from the parking lot.”

• Its close everything that I needed.
• The man working at the front desk told us to walk out of the hotel to get to our room when there was a way to the rooms from inside the lobby.

“I think the people working in the hotel need to be aware of what is happening around them and have good information to give. The hotel is nice but the staff doesn¿t know what they are doing, and they are giving wrong information to people.”

• The continental breakfast was wonderful.
• The shower-toilet area was claustrophobically small.

“The location was a short drive to the historic district. The staff was very helpful. The continental breakfast was huge. Rooms were clean. Beds were hard and the shower area tiny, but for the money, I would recommend.”

• In room movies. Beds are comfortable.
• Incorrect billing, still unresolved. Cramped parking. Drab room without adequate provisions.

“Would not recommend to anyone. Room sparse and drab. Not cleaned during stay and not respelled adequately (towels, coffee, etc.) Have been overcharged on billing and this has not been resolved to date. Admin friendly but problem not corrected. Bushes in parking area make getting into/out of car nearly impossible.”

“This hotel was adequate. The bathtub and sink drains did not drain properly. If you need only a place to sleep, this hotel will fit those needs. There were only two straight-backed chairs in the room, however the only time we spent here was to shower and sleep. For these purposes, the hotel suited our needs very well.”

• Great continental breakfast! Staff friendly. Bathroom nice.
• Had to request a change to non smoking, though staff very accommodating.

“Wow! A very nice experience. The breakfast was really nice--bagels, rolls, Donuts, fruit, eggs, yogurt, and even waffles that were made by the diner! Coffee always available in lobby. We were automatically placed in a smoking room, and I had to request non-smoking. I think that preference should be noted on the reservation form.”

• The management helped when our room was messed up. very professional.
• I did not like having the door open up to the outside. I like a Hotel.

“It is an older motel, but you can tell they have taken time to update everything, and make sure you are happy. The management made sure we had a room near the pool after our first room had wet carpet, and she also gave us a free movie for the night for my girls.”

• Hair in the shower, not enough towels in room on arrival.

“We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is very convenient to downtown for sightseeing and to the midtown area for shopping at the malls and dining. Denny's next door and Bennigan's just across street next to the hotel (great for happy hour after a day of sightseeing/shopping). Only minor complaints were not enough towels on check in (quickly remedied by housekeeper) and hair on the wall of the shower. Overall, though, we had a great stay and would stay there again.”

“This LaQUINTA is located in Midtown area of Savannah, just up from new shopping centers with upscale stores, like Fresh Market, Black and White and more. Also close to the revitalized Oglethorpe Mall, and many restaurants. Rooms are clean and seem well kept. The parking lot is small and tight though, and right next to two busy restaurants that also seem to need more parking. The pool area was small, but was clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“The staff was wonderful! The lady I worked with at the front desk (I wish I knew her name) was able to move me from a two bed to a one bed. Even though I had a double bed room, she moved me to a single king which was better for me and my partner. We both slept well and everything was very nice. ”

• location, location, location. Close to everything we were looking for.
• I thought their website said there were refrigerators in the room which there were not.

“Clean, staff was very friendly and answered all my questions about the hotel itself and directions to local attractions. Continental breakfast was a hit with the kids. That was a major savings due to us not having to purchase breakfast the 3 days we were there. The pool was clean and again the kids enjoyed using it. My only major complaint is the ice maker was dirty and right next to a garbage can with a foul order. I would recommend that they not keep the trash near the ice dispenser.”

• Breakfast was decent, many restaurants in vicinity microwave in lobby.
• 5 miles from interstate, bathroom too small and linens not of good quality.

“It is a OK 2 star hotel. Has basic amenities and decent continental breakfast. Room was good but bathroom was too small. You can get a room with microwave and refrigerator for an extra charge.”

“The hotel needs a facelift. The rooms were clean but old. The outside walkways were dirty. I would not want my wife to stay here alone. The area was not really secure. We had to change our first room because the air conditioning did not work. We asked for a king, but could only get 2 double beds. Tiny rooms and bathrooms. Just not what I was expecting after reading other reviews.”

• The location is good.
• My room was rented to someone else while I was in it.

“This is the worst stay I've had. When checking in several others were complaining they had room reservations and the rooms were not cleaned. This was after 3pm. I checked in and asked for extra coffee. The clerk checked and said she didn't have any in the office and would send some to my room. I didn't get any. The next morning I went to my business meeting and upon my return the maid was opening my room door and then went down to the next room. I walked right into my room and the maid never came back. The door could have stayed opened and someone else could have been in my room. I left a couple hours later for dinner when I came back my key would not work. I went to the office and he saw the key in my hand and asked me if it wasn't working. I told him yes and he asked my room # and reprogrammed my keys. I went then to my room and after about 15 minutes someone was trying to enter my room. I opened the door and it was 2 ladies and a gentlemen that were in the lobby when I went down about my keys. They had been rented my room. A few minutes later the desk clerk called my room and told me they had me in another room. I told her I had been in that room since the day before. I also told her I had no maid service that day and she just said thank you. I travel frequently on business. I don't get your star ratings. I was very disgusted with this hotel.”

• Very good breakfast with waffles and eggs as a treat.
• Two rooms had mechanical/repair issues.

“The hotel was quiet, clean, and served a good breakfast- a breakfast better than most, but it does show its age and wear. We had to switch out of our first room because the door connecting to an adjoining room would swing open every time the other people opened their main door. The door could not be locked. The second room had a malfunctioning toilet. However, at every point the staff was kind and courteous in addressing these issues.”
