• The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly and met all of our needs.
• The hotel was not as close to the historic district as I had hoped but it was in a safe area and very close to the mall.

“I selected this hotel based upon price and the ratings left by others. The hotel met all of my expectations - clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good amount of space, very safe environment. I was unable to enjoy the breakfast, but my friend said the free breakfast they offered was very good. It also has free WiFi which made it super convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

• It was close to a Starbucks.
• There was a musty smell when we first entered the room.

“This is a decent hotel. It is competently run, the desk service was helpful & efficient, the room was modest but tidy, & breakfast was adequate. The staff are friendly & competent. Nothing luxurious, nothing outrageous. Shops, including restaurants, grocery & Starbucks are just around the corner, and Historic Savannah is about 10 minutes driving.”

“The Fairfield Inn is one of the best kept secrets in Savannah. I was impressed with the quality of this hotel and its friendly and helpful staff. I have stayed in the Marriot and Hyatt previously for my conferences in Savannah.”

• The location was great and the check was quick.
• My door key did not work so I had to continuously go to the desk until they got the maintenance man to fix it.

“Due to no fault of the hotel, we experienced a large thunderstorm on the 2nd day which put the power out to the entire block the hotel was located on. We were somewhat disappointed that the hotel had no backup generator for this kind of situation. When we enquired nicely at the front desk about 3 hours into the power outage if they had any idea of how long it might be the desk staff were noticeably hostile at this point instead of keeping a calm and pleasant manner.”

“Fairfield Inn Savannah Midtown was a great hotel for the price! The first room we were given smelled musky, we went straight to the office and they gave us another room right away! The hotel has recently undergone renovations so I think that room must have just been shampooed or something! There was a bad storm on Saturday we were down and our power went off in the room, again the staff pulled through and the power was back on in no time! The pool is nice and the breakfast they offer is wonderful! We were close to restaurants and only a short drive away from River Street! I would recommend this hotel to anyone trying to find a reasonable place to stay in beautiful Savannah GA! Thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and exceptionally responsive!”

• The breakfast buffet had great waffles.
• The pool was closed for a period of time on a Saturday. It reopened at 8 p.m.

“The hotel was conveniently located. It took about 20 minutes to get to Downtown Savannah via car, but they do offer a shuttle. The staff was friendly. We requested a crib at check in and it was delivered within 30 minutes. The breakfast buffet was very good. There was fruit, cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, bread, bagels, doughnuts, heat-your-own Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches, and delicious make-your-own Belgian waffles. The rooms were adequate for the price paid.”

• The beds and pillows were great and the room was clean. Staff helpful.
• The ice machine was on the first floor. None on the second floor where I stayed.

“I would stay there again. It was a few miles from downtown. There was a bus that took us downtown, so that made the location doable. Also, we enjoyed being close to malls and restaurants and movie theaters once we had done the historic attractions. The staff was especially friendly and helpful and my sister enjoyed the great selection on the free breakfast.”

• Very clean, nice quality room. Bed was very comfortable. Nice desk area (including wireless internet) in room.
• A little noisy -- easy to hear neighbors next door and above.

“Very clean, nice quality room for the price. The bed was terrific -- comfortable and big. I needed to do some work while on the road, and found the spacious desk in the room (plus the free wireless) to be perfect. Room was a little noisy -- easy to hear neighbors next door and above. No problems with parking. Surrounding area is safe. Don't plan on walking to historic Savannah from here, but it's a short, easy drive. Hotel staff was very helpful in planning excursions. Breakfast area gets mobbed, so show up early.”

The staff was unresponsive to my request for a room on the third floor or two double beds as I was traveling with my teenage daughter. The bathroom reminded me of a budget motel. I have been in nicer Fairfield Inns.”

• Everything in the room needed to be updated.

“The hotel was very convenient to where I where doing business. The price was reasonable for a last minute trip. I arrived after 3 PM but there was not a room ready for me to check in to. After about 20 minutes, I had to accept a handicapped room so I could get checked in. Everything in the room was old and needed to be updated. The carpet, furniture, lamps, even the fixtures in the bathroom was old and needed to be replaced. There was an unpleasant smell coming from the carpet around the air conditioner. My room keys would not work after the first night, I had to get them replaced. I am disappointed in the low quality of the room.”

“I had ants in my room, that isn't acceptable. I didn't feel comfortable having my daughter crawl around on the floor. The room was rather small. The pool was also dirty with leaves and bugs in it. I have stayed at several Fairfield's before and was rather disappointed with this one. I expected more. It was more like an old economy hotel with the Fairfield name.”

• Customer service was excellent. Hotel team was friendly and helpful.
• Bed bugs were present and the bathroom was dirty.

“I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms. The outer appearance and the lobby was somewhat maintained. I alerted the front desk about bed bugs and he took care of the problem as quickly as possible. I spoke to the housekeeper and told her about the bathroom, and she too handled the problem quickly and. The hotel was full, so another room was not available. Although I don't swim, I noticed that the pool was not maintained properly. The team friendliness and helpfulness was excellent. I am not willing to visit them again. Thank you!”

• It was secure and safe feeling the bed was comfortable the rugs were clean and new and it was quiet.
• The bathroom was very small would not fit an over sized person and the floor was not clean.
