“This is a nice hotel for business travelers or leisure travelers who want to stay right in the downtown Orlando area. The only bad experience was the hotel charged my credit card for the stay even though it was pre-paid. However, a quick call to hotel and an explanation to the friendly staff and the situation was taken care of immediately and the charges were reversed. I have since stayed at this property again with no issues. I would recommend to other travelers looking for 4 star quality with a good price.”

“I stayed here July 7-9, during the American Idol auditions. Overall awesome hotel, probably the best I have stayed in. The rooms were very neat, and the beds were heavenly! The location could definitely be better, though unlike the others who wrote reviews, I could not hear the highway traffic at all. The hotel could do with a pool. The staff was incredibly welcoming, nice and helpful. If you do stay in the Crowne Plaza, I recommend going to a health food restaurant in downtown called Dandelion (or Dandy), it really is a great place. I loved Orlando, everyone there is incredibly fun and kind, I will be going back, and I definitely will be staying at this hotel again.”

• The rooms were attractive and the bed was extreme;y comfortable.
• There was no swimming pool.

“The overall experience was positive. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was freindly and accomodating. On the negative side; Ithere was no swimming pool (although a maid told me they will soon start have one). I also thought the breakfast was a bit over-priced.”

• The decor of the room, flat screen TV, and microwave. Sink, fridge all were helpful and pleasant during my stay.
• The fridge was on the floor and made it difficult to use with a disability.

• Old hotel covered up with paint and tile. No pool.

“No swimming pool in Orlando FL. Bad area of downtown and condemned houses around the area. Cheaply renovated. Faucet fell off in shower. No real amenities. Shady patrons also in area requiring doors to be locked even in the front lobby. Bad parking lot with bad access to all but one street and I-4.”

• Big, spacious rooms with sitting area and large screen TV.
• Balcony doors did not open. Restaurant selection was limited and expensive. No pool. Bad area of town.

• Priority reception ran out of supplies 1 hour before it should have. Very poor planning on the night turner concert.

• I loved the decor, the comfort of the bed, and the shower was great!
• There wasn't enough privacy for the bathroom and the bath tub was a disappointment.

“This was the first time that a hotel met all of my expectations. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. I felt like it could be my own home. I didn't want to leave!”

• Fantastic suite, granite, plasma, new.
• Loud train and directly on interstate, very noisy.

“Hotel was formerly the Lexington and now Crown Plaza. Was a condo conversion that is now hotel. Everything is new and trendy. Rooms are top notch. Beware though because this hotel is on a train route and on the interstate. Not good if noise bothers you.”

• Nice staff, clean, up to date interior including plasma TV's in room.
• No pool, 1 vending machine in entire hotel, access only from one way street.

“The hotel had a great staff, nice clean rooms, only downfalls were no pool or vending machines, ice machines only on one floor (out of 12) and the only access to the hotel is on a one way street that requires 3 blocks on 3 different streets just to get back around to the street in front.”

• I liked the suite layout. The bed was very comfortable. Great location as well.
• There were no audio and video connections visible on the plasmas. I would have loved to watch DVDs.

• The atmosphere, the look of the room, and just everything was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely recommend this room to others.

“The hotel was absolutely beautiful, I liked the way the room was decorated, the bedding the bathroom was all very nice and romantic. I would like to see maybe a Jacuzzi tub in this type of room.”

“We had a good experience at the Lexington. We stayed for 2 nights; the room was in excellent condition. We felt very safe, the beds were very comfortable, and the room was spotless and was cleaned on our middle day. We were disappointed to not have a pool. Over all, we would not choose this hotel again simply because we wanted a pool but it was a very classy and comfortable hotel.”

• The hotel room was clean.
• The hotel was in a poor location, immediately adjacent to I-4 in a marginal neighborhood.

“This hotel had clean rooms (3 star qualities). However, I would rate it a 2.5 star for the following reasons: 1. It was located next to I-4 and noise from the freeway seeped into the room. 2. The neighborhood was marginal at best around the corner from the Salvation Army. 3. The staff while courteous was not well-trained and did not manage some suspicious-looking guests well.”

• All of the amenities at the Lexington really surprised me. When the need arises I will definitely stay there again.
• One small thing: They inadvertently provided only decaf coffee in the room.

• Nice lobby, bar, dining. Plasma wall mounted TV, free wireless.
• Parking not worth $20/day. Locked doors at night. A/C in room was too cold/too hot.

“Very nice newly remodeled and updated. Friendly staff for the most part and clean. I enjoyed the plasma TV in the room and the free wireless HiFi. The bar and restaurant were nice and the lobby was fancy. Didn't like having to pay $20/day to park in an empty parking lot and having to knock on the front door to get in at night. Location is good but could use a Starbucks or some kind of coffee bar. I would definitely stay here again.”

• Great rooms, very comfortable.
• I felt like I was the only person there, it was dead.

“Convenient location to i-4, very comfortable modern rooms with 42 inch plasma televisions, and a nice restaurant and lounge. Unfortunately, I felt like I was the only person there to enjoy it. There were probably only 10 guests the week I was there, so I am not sure this place will make it.”

“Perhaps the fact that they do not have a pool could keep them in the 3-star range? The lobby is very cool! Check-in very friendly! Our room was on the 4th floor, with two queen beds, wide, flat-screen TV. In the bathroom was two robes, plenty of relatively soft towels, even a loofah! The only two small things that we were not crazy about was the fact that there are no vending machines. My husband asked at the front desk and they were kind enough to take a dollar from him and purchase a drink from their employee vending machine in the back for him. Otherwise the only other option offered was room service. The other thing was that we did not get maid service. However, we had put a privacy sign out and hung out in the hotel until around 11am, so we apparently missed our shot at room service. No big deal, because we had plenty of towels. We tried room service for breakfast one morning. It was quite expensive (I know, most room service is), took about 30 minutes and was delivered by a very polite, professional gentleman. Quality was very good. A couple charges to keep in mind if you stay here: valet parking is $17 a day, otherwise it's $10 overnight. This hotel does charge a $5.95 resort fee per night (which I know is common in Florida). Overall, we really really liked this hotel. Location-wise, it is downtown, but far enough from the main Church-Street vicinity that it's probably not a safe walk. ”

• In the middle of construction, not all elevators working properly
