• The room was beautiful, very modern with 42inch Flat screen.
• There were only two elevators that were a little slow.

“This hotel was excellent for the price we paid! We only stayed for one night but were very comfortable. The room was very modern with a 42 inch flat screen T.V. and nice furniture and colors. It was very clean and everything looked new. There is a small wall splitting the bed from the couch (which was a pull out bed). Room had all the necessary amenities (dryer, iron, internet, small fridge,etc.).”

“This was a great hotel for the money on Priceline can not beat it for the money. TV was excellent, the bathroom was small but not bad. Breakfast was okay. Pool was okay. But again the room and staff with the location was great for the money have fun.”

“The hotel was nice, but they charged too much for what we got. The room was small. They had a fridge but no microwave. The bathroom was tiny, it could barely fit 1 person. Over all it could have been much better.”

• Warm, cozy and serene place for vacationers.
• Staff didn't seem to be friendly, especially if you are colored.

“The hotel has excellent atmosphere, beautiful rooms with all modern amenities, good breakfast in the morning, a diner and a good swimming pool. It is a very peaceful place for vacationers. But don't expect that staff will greet you if you are non-white! They usually ignore you as long as they can.”

“I traveled with my grown daughter for an overnight and found the Hyatt Place to be very nice and a place that I would definitely be back to. The rooms were very spacious and the large flat screen was great. The bathroom was small but the sink was outside the bath so that made it easier.”

“Excellent hotel, the staff was the friendliest and most visible I've had at any hotel I've stayed at. Only thing I didn't like was the bathroom was very tiny and when you opened the door it barely cleared from hitting the toilet.”

• The room decor was fantastic and modern. I loved the TV and HD programming.
• Very loud ice machine.

“This is a very nice, clean and modern hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms seem brand new. There was only one issue I had. I requested a room away from the elevators and ice machines and I was given a room directly across from the ice machine, which was very loud. I think it was an honest mistake and they thought I wanted a room close to the ice machine.”

• The staff was exceedingly friendly and the hotel had more style than most.
• There was a little too much noise from the hallway inside the room.

“This hotel was a great surprise. This was my first stay at a Hyatt Place and I enjoyed the unique style of the room, the very hospitable staff, and the food selection at the continental breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.”

• The room was a suite. Had all the comforts of home. Beautiful.
• Absolutely nothing I loved it.

“All the staff went out of their way to please you. They were very friendly, helpful and delightful to be around. This is the best of the best for romance, family, or business. They treated you like royalty and the hotel was clean, safe and a joy to stay in.”

• Breakfast area was too small and the elevators were slow.

“The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. We walked to Universal on our own schedule (less than 3/4 mile). There was a nice shuttle bus but it only left at set times which did not meet our schedule.”

• Modern, upscale atmosphere. Friendly, helpful staff.
• Bugs in 1st room's bathroom; second room smelled musty when AC not turned on.

“Our room was beautifully decorated, in a contemporary upscale style instead of the cheesy tropical prints one expects in Florida. The
AC in our first room malfunctioned and there were some tiny, almost invisible bugs crawling along the bathroom wall (a side effect of the tropical climate). The staff changed us to a different room on a completely different floor, moving our belongings for us while we were sightseeing. The second room was perfect, except a slight musty smell if the AC was turned off for extended periods of time. The beds were comfy, and everything was spotlessly clean.”

• Larger than average room layout with nice sofa.
• Tub would not drain. Problems with smoke detector. Staff stated they would remove it from the wall.

• 42" Flat screen TV viewed from sofa or bed.
• No place outside for smokers to sit only ashtray recepticle located at front entrance.

“I would recommend anyone to stay at a Hyatt Place. The rooms are all smoke free and even as a smoker myself I prefer a smoke free room. The decor is fresh urban and very relaxing. The rooms all have 42" flat screen HD TV's that you can swivel to view either from the sectional couch with huge ottoman or from your bed. They staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a 24 Kitchen Gallery you can order from or in the morning have a complimentary breakfast. Best of all they serve Starbucks coffee anytime you want it! Security is high with all doors requiring your room key to gain entry for all outside doors except for the entrance. I was extremely satisfied with this hotel and will select Hyatt for my future travel.”

“This hotel had great rooms. They were very large and modern. Super comfortable. The breakfast was good. There were no high chairs available for breakfast and not enough seating. Some of the staff wasn't very friendly. Whole property was very clean.”

• The rooms were excellent.
• No real dining area, dirty towels taken but not replaced.

“Although had a couple of glitches with towels and coffee in the room, the staff was friendly. Elevator was almost broken and shook when opening and closing. Not enough dining space for continental breakfast and not enough selection. However, Cracker Barrel next door was convenient. Would stay here again.”

• Very clean, staff was excellent, great location.
• Light fixtures in the rooms above the beds were very hard to turn off and on, old metal push button.

“My family and I stayed at this hotel for a week. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff was excellent, always had someone standing in the lobby acting as a concierge, but they weren't actually a concierge so there wasn't any need for tipping, etc. I never know how the tipping is supposed to go in fancy hotels, so this was very nice benefit at this hotel. Hotel had marble floors in a lot of places that gave it a fancy hotel look. The staff was very personable, all the way down to the maids doing mundane jobs. The location was great, right at the intersections of the Florida Turnpike and I-4. The rooms were very clean, large and included a kitchenette with a sink, refrigerator. We had a great time thanks to this hotel and they're great staff.”

• Far exceeded my expectations - the nicest room I stayed in to date. Loved the wide-screen TV!
• Slow elevators.

“I loved this hotel! The room was incredible: with the wide-screen HDTV, the pillow-top mattress, refrigerator, large couch! There was not much to dislike. My family and I had to stay at a different hotel (Holiday Inn) a couple days later. After staying at the Hyatt, I was very disappointed with the Holiday Inn, which was supposed to be a resort, 3-star hotel. I also paid more for that hotel. From now on, I will be staying at the Hyatt place where available!”

• Clean, attractive, large, comfortable rooms,.
• Very small washroom, small unattractive pool area.

“Free shuttle to universal was very nice, it was a 15 min walk to and from the park taxi $3.50 if you take the yellow cab $7 if you take the cab ordered by front desk. Very minimal and unattractive pool. Breakfast food and seating very basic. Lots of parking, friendly staff and there seemed to be lots of them. I liked the fast check in and out computer at the entrance. But there wasn't ever a wait at the front desk. 42 inch TV was wonderful, free internet. Very nice stay. Fridge in room was small but an asset.”

• It was close to universal park.
• The housekeeping was bad and front desk was rude.

“They are a rude bunch of people behind the counter at the front desk. Just try and let them know there is a problem with something. I got dirty looks and rolling eye balls. The house keeping staff was a joke to! No towels, dirty sheets, no clean glasses. And hey. To top it all off the pool water was turning green.”

“This is a very nice hotel for 2.5 star. It is extremely convenient to Universal--if you were ambitious you could walk. The breakfast is fine--nothing particularly special but a good basic hotel style continental. There are additional entrees available for an additional price. The room size is excellent for a mid level hotel and would work fine for a family. The room has a couch and a small refrigerator, making eating lunches in the room a way to save money for gas.”

• The room had lots of features, flat screen TV, fridge and more.
• The continental breakfast. The kitchen poorly laid out.

“The hotel is brand new and spotless. The rooms are very modern, with lots of amenities, Flat screen TV, granite countertops, fridge, sofa bed and more. The only part I didn't like was the continental breakfast. The room, where the food was served, was poorly laid out and there was a long line. There was not much food on the buffet, just bagels, toast, English muffins, fruit and cereal. There also wasn't sufficient seating for the people who were eating breakfast. But, overall, it was a good experience.”

• Most of the hotel no longer cater to smokers, but that's most hotels now.

• Pool was completely unreflective of rest of property.

• Excellent proximity to Universal Studios.
• Card key access was 'flaky' on outside doors.

“Very comfortable, spacious rooms. Nice to have a small fridge and a separate 'bar' counter/sink. The 42" HD TV was great not that we had time to watch it all that much. Staff was very friendly and helpful, although I got the sense that they were still somewhat 'in-training' with the new branding of this property. Shower was nice but a little dark in there. Free Wi-Fi was not working so had to call toll-free technical support. Was able to resolve problem within about 10 minutes 20+ minutes after first discovered.”
