• The beds and linens were really comfortable. The pool was large and warm.
• There was a lack of communication between the hotel management and the ticket sellers from Universal Studios.

• The hotel was very clean, neat and proper. Everything exceeded my expectations!
• The hallways were not air conditioned for some reason and the ice maker was inop.

“The Crowne Plaza
at Universal is an exceptional hotel. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The tiki bar at the pool was an awesome place to meet people late at night. The beds were very, very comfortable. The Flat screen LCD TV was sweet and all linens were soft and warm. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.”

• Friendly staff that was willing to help us find the best deals in terms of places to eat, theme parks, etc.
• No ceiling fan in the room, AC unit/fan intake was loud. Hotel restaurant menu was pricey, no refrigerator in the room.

“Friendly staff and pretty quiet and very clean inside the hotel itself. It's a smaller place - ideal for couples or business travelers. Small families as well. The 24 hour concierge was able to locate regular pillows for us, since we did not like the down pillows, quite late in the evening.”

• The hotel was clean and the staff was more than friendly.
• During my entire stay, I did not meet one rude or grouchy person!

“The hotel was fabulous from day one. I arrived late and there were no parking spaces - the receptionist told me not to worry and to just park in the valet parking area. The hotel was clean, upscale, and the rooms were well appointed. The beds were very comfortable - like sleeping on a cloud! The pool area was clean and the water refreshing. The Tiki bar was neat too! An excellent vacation. I'm really glad about this choice! I would certainly stay here again!”

“The front desk staff was very friendly. They honored our request for 2 beds. The room was very spacious and had all the amenities we needed such as refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and flat screen T.V. The room had 2 queen beds and were very comfortable.”

• All of the employees were extremely friendly and went out of their way for you.
• AC's in room a little noisy.

“The employees were definitely at a 4 star hotel level. The location was great, only 1 block off of busy International drive. Far enough to be quiet and close enough to be convenient. Lobby and pool area were very nice.”

• Free parking and free bus to universal theme parks.
• The air/heating system was too loud.

“We only stayed 2 nights. Weather was cold so we didn't get to sit by the pool. It was very convenient for Universal. We were staying on the executive floor. This entitled us to get a free continental breakfast and newspaper.”

• I loved the bed it was so comfortable.

“My boyfriend and I planned a weekend getaway and this was the perfect hotel. We both loved it, the staff was so friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable and close to everything. We usually try to stay in different hotels when traveling so that we could have different experiences but I have to say my next trip to Orlando we will be staying at this hotel again.”

• The Universal Theme Park staff that served as tourist advisors in the lobby.
• The staff, the small rooms and the views from the windows.

“Check in was a nightmare! The young kid had no idea how to work the computer, was very rude. If you extend your stay they forget to mention that your key card will need to be reset and that your housekeeping will not be done the day of your extension. Very unprofessional and very expensive, not worth the price.”

• It was clean and had a lot of eye appeal and it was very quit in the rooms and we were by the elevator!
• They did not have books in the gift store.

“We were there for business and leisure. We really enjoyed the quietness and comfort of the rooms. We were by the elevators, but we did not hear them at all.”

• Spacious room, clean hotel and comfortable beds.
• The microwave alarm was set and went off at 5:30 AM.

“This was my second stay at the Crowne Plaza so I knew what to expect. Check - in was very quick, but not personal or friendly. The lobby area was clean and decorated nicely. Two sets of elevators ensured that we would not have to wait long for a car. The room was spacious and comfortable. The beds and duvet covers were great after a few days at the parks. We spent quite a bit of time in our room resting and even though the room was close to the elevators it was quiet. Dinner was in the Italian restaurant in the neighboring plaza. My only complaint was the alarm on the microwave that went off at 5:30. It took me a few moments to realize where the beeping was coming from. I couldn't figure out how to shut it off so I resorted to unplugging it and climbing back in bed. Check-out was a breeze with the express check-out which is always great with three children.”

• Great location for all things at Universal Studios, best night's sleep at a hotel!
• Could sometimes hear people in hallway or next door, but not so much that it bothered us.

“A lovely hotel, great for families, super close to Universal and Wet 'n' Wild Water park. The beds were well appointed and so comfy - everyone in my family said they slept great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the quiet lounge in the atrium and the free WiFi in the lounge/bar. Well kept and clean. Highly recommend this hotel!”

• They upgraded us to a junior suite since all of their rooms with Double beds were sold out.
• I had to call two separate times to get pillows for the sleeper sofa in the room.

“The hotel was clean, and staff was extremely friendly. I called the day of our stay to request a room with double beds, but they were booked, so they upgraded us to a junior suite for free. The only problem was that there were no pillows for the sleeper sofa. I called housekeeping and they only brought us one. I had to call a separate time to get more pillows. Overall experience though, was great.”

• The beds were amazing and I loved how they strive to make your stay as relaxing as possible.
• Really hard to get a spot in the business room to get access to a computer and parking was very limited for a hotel that size.

• It was meticulously clean. I could actually feel comfortable walking barefoot on the carpet!
• Like most hotels in the area, internet is not free in the rooms.

“This hotel is meticulous and the staff is wonderful. I would recommend it to anybody. because I-drive traffic was unbearably heavy due to the holiday weekend, it was actually nice to be on Sandlake so that all the attractions are near (walking distance) and still be able to take Sandlake to universal blvd. to get to the other side of I-drive.”

Glass elevator gave you a scenic view of the hotel each time u got on. Bedding was clean and comfortable. Had a microwave & mini refrigerator which was a nice touch. Close to everything!”

• I liked the comfortable of the beds the most and bathroom amenities.
• The food wasn't that great for the price it was ok. Drinks at the pool bar too expensive.

“The hotel was great close to what I needed. The beds were great I like the shower pressure and the bathroom shampoo and soaps. The drinks were expensive and didn't like the fact that there was an auto gratuity cause you still feel obligated to tip so you don't look like a cheep! Overall, it was a good place and what was really big for me is the comfortable of the beds. That makes all the difference. So I would stay here again for the right price.”

“Had to call for a new hair dryer, the one in the room did not work. The toilet flushed slowly, had to call about that. Breakfast at the hotel was more expensive than going down the street to a local place.”
