“I would not pick this hotel because of the location. This stretch of I-drive is very congested with traffic. Took 20 minutes to get to a main intersection.”

  • All staff personnel always acknowledged you when passing.
  • Snack and coffee bar stopped at 10.30pm. I felt a bit early.

“Extremely friendly staff and most helpful, on arrival our rooms allocated had a damp odor which was pretty strong however when pointing this out our party of 8 were personally taken to another room to view in the tower block. Tower block seemed a bit more updated and modern, rooms clean and pleasantly larger than expected. We experienced a few hiccups with our air-conditioning and shower, this problem was quickly resolved and an engineer promptly arrived. I would not recommend to stay in the block as this was the block we were first allocated complete with the musty damp smell quite sickly really. Great views from the tower over international drive. One thing I will add the weather was disastrous rained 13 out of 14 days, experienced thunder storms 2 or 3 times daily. All rides stop completely, all outdoor shows e.g. Disney parade cancel due to weather conditions and no characters are seen in the parks. We were so disappointed and were left with no option other than leave the parks completely soaked like you had just came out of a swimming pool. Definitely a must to visit sea world. Please do not miss shamo the whale show, brought tears to my eyes absolutely fantastic. Please also make use of the I trolleys for short journeys. 16$ unlimited, great value. I would like to re visit however I will not under any circumstances visit end of June or July, I don't think even August.”

  • Not suitable for a business traveler. Strictly tourist families.

  • Only one elevator was working. I was forced to use the stairs three times over the two day stay.

“For people with low expectations, this place is great, if you have a problem with the staff they yell at you or try to pick a fight with you, this place has no idea what customers mean it's pathetic; I did not like it so much I tried to catch an earlier flight rather than to say another night.”

  • Dirty, old, elevators broken; rooms dirty; plaster falling.

“This place needed one thing: a demolition crew. It was poorly lit; in a congested carnival end of town; it felt unsafe; the elevators only worked half the time; they were filthy. The room was equally dirty; we found undergarments under the bed; hair in the sheets. Plaster was degraded on the ceiling leaving debris on the headboards; wallpaper borders falling off the walls.”

  • Interior lock on door was broken. Ceiling had water damage. Facility was dirty everywhere.

“Did not like this hotel! While it was adequate for our brief stay, I did not feel safe. Interior lock on our room door was broken off. Ceiling in our room had water damage and bits of the popcorn ceiling had broken off and left dust on the carpet. The entire hotel was old and dingy. Our room was dirty. Caulk around tub was broken and moldy. I'm not too tall but the shower was too short. Railing in elevator pulled out of the wall when my daughter held on to it. Elevator was so slow at times we just used the stairs. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

  • We liked t6he convenience, pool, spa, and amenities.
  • Maintenance. Bad elevators, spa didn't work right, lights out.

“We had a pleasant stay for our 30th wedding anniversary. We stayed in an executive King room which was very simply decorated but clean and comfortable. The furniture was scratched up a bit but everything worked in our room and it was clean and pleasant. We would stay there again with out hesitation. I appreciate the kind and friendly staff. They were all helpful. Nice but not plush.”

  • Everything. Outward appearance deceives people into coming but the rooms are the worst I ever saw.

“I've stayed at many Holiday Inn but this is by far the worst. The door for the room was hard to open, had to kick to open and kick to close. The room smelled, the lights didn't turn on but one, spiders were crawling on the bed, etc. Would never go back or any Holiday Inn in the area.”

  • Room we stayed in was a little older but still good value.

“I was totally pleased with this hotel. We were allowed to check in early As our room was ready. We asked for a room by the pool and were granted our request. The room was an obviously an older room but was clean. All of the staff I dealt with was friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and great value for location. Would stay again. Could walk to so many things. Pool was so clean and well kept (and heated).”

  • Being reassigned rooms 2 times.

“Overall, I was pleased with my stay. It started off badly by being assigned rooms that had already been assigned to someone - twice. Luckily, we didn't come face to face with the occupants in those rooms! Apparently, they had a new computer system that had some glitches. The 3rd room was finally available. Manager gave us $30 food voucher which was enough for the 4 of us to have the breakfast buffet one morning. Cuds for the efforts of the manager to 'make nice' for the mistakes.”

  • I cannot, honestly, say that this hotel has any redeeming qualities.
  • Noise, parking, it was filthy inside and out, broken and unsafe stairs.

“The accessibility of this hotel is horrible, even during the off season you can forget trying to drive somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat. The parking lot is too small and there is not enough light. The stairs were broken and my youngest almost fell due to the stairs giving way. Upon telling the front desk, we were told that they were old and should be fixed soon. No, I'm sorry, or we will have someone fix it right away. This was truly a disappointing experience.”

  • Customer service.

“My son and I got to the hotel around at 2:00 pm, I was told we could not check in until 3:00 pm; even thought I kept seeing people checking in. I asked about a handicapped room and someone went with me to show me the room that was available, we never found the room; try pushing a child in a wheelchair around. Went back to front desk and informed the young woman, I asked her to leave my original request; she then informed me that the original room would not be available now until 4:00 pm. At 4:15pm the front desk told me that they were never told anything and my reservation was for a handicapped room. I insisted on the room that I had to wait for until 4:00 pm. Since my child and I had to wait until 4:00 pm to check in. I can tell you that I will not go back and I have certainly informed my friends and co-workers to stay away from the big green hotel at this location.”

  • Immediate response to resolve room issues.
  • Microwave was not working and tub wasnt draining.

“Very nice and clean hotel at a very convenient location. Had issues with the microwave and water not draining in the shower. Both issues were fixed immediately. Very courteous staff. Excellent internet access. The room that was provided was not close to the elevator which is a problem if you have lots of luggage to lug around. The only drawback was that they don't provide free breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant which I thought was a little expensive for vegetarians. You do have to tell the cleaner to remove any wet towels lying around, fold the table for ironing etc. As otherwise they just make your bed and leave!”

“The hotel was on a very busy street that was very difficult to get in and out of. The tower we stayed in was extremely busy and the elevators were slow. One person in the restaurant staff was great the other was not very friendly. The front desk staff was great too.”

  • The location is the only good thing everything is within walking distance, even universal studios!
  • Ants everywhere, musty smell, ceiling plaster crumbling off.

“Location is the only good thing this hotel has to offer. But in return for that you have to share the room with a couple colonies of ants (who very quickly find any food or drink you dare to bring into the room even inside the fridge!), endure the musty smells and crumbling off ceiling. Wouldn't recommend staying there. For literally $5 more you can get a much better hotel.”

  • It appears that things are starting to be worn down and not kept up well.

“It seems that the hotel is in need of a make over. Many of the veneers were chipped and my room the air conditioner was not working properly and the shower was not working properly. In spite of all this the staff responded immediately to my concerns and fixed my shower so I could turn the cold water on and regulate the temp. While I was in a business meeting they replaced my air conditioner and thanked me for pointing out the problems. I would rate this hotel a 4 star in customer relationships but only a 2.5 star in upkeep. When all was said and done, my room was clean and bed was relatively comfortable. I would consider staying there again.”

  • Suntan mike by the pool was fun. Also hotel shuttle to universal was great.
  • The public bathrooms were grody and the check in/checks out times were utterly ridiculous. The business center also charged, ugh!

“Good for sleeping and getting to universal. Pool was ok even thought the whirlpool didn't, well, whirl. Suntan mike by the pool was fun and gave me a tan prescription. They charge for the business center. The public bathrooms were really grody. The 4 pm check in is ridiculous. I showed up at the hotel at 11 am and asked for an early check in (I tried calling the night before and they couldn't do it) and I swear I called every hour after 11 and the room was not ready till 4 pm. I had to hang out by the pool in my luggage. Not one single room was cleaned and ready according to them. 4 pm check in and 11 am check out. They sure don't leave you any time to spend in your room. That really pissed me off.”

  • The hotel was dirty. There was a dirty pasta bowl left out in hallway for over 12 hours, pool was dirty and pool lounge chairs rusted and dirty.

“Pick another hotel! We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. Among the many dirty areas was the elevator, the pool, the hot tub, the rusted lounge chairs by the pool, a dirty plate of pasta that sat in the hallway for over 12 hours with many hotel employees walking right past it and none of the soda machines on 3 separate floors would work. However, the room "seemed" to be clean, but makes me wonder "how clean" compared to the rest of the hotel. If you don't want a view of Interstate 4 or to be right in the middle of International Drive tourist madness stay clear of this hotel.”

  • The pool was wonderful. Everything you could need was in the room, right down to an ironing board and iron. Great.
  • Didn't care for the elevators. They seemed old and in ill repair.

  • We liked the breakfast buffet.
  • No ice bucket available in the room.

“We were assigned to a room that was already occupied. Although, the manager was nice enough to assigned me to another room to my liking. And also provided 2 coupons $10 each for the breakfast. I was pleased and satisfied of how the manager handled the situation. Overall, the location was convenient to the entire major nearest theme parks, shopping centers and restaurants.”

“I stayed at the atrium (?) towel building. The facility is old but it is not too bad. The room is spacious with several features I really like: coffee maker, fridge and microwave. But I am really not happy with the room:1) Toilet is not working properly. Man, I hate it...2) The AC is either on or off. There is no way you can fine tune it. I don't think the hotel doesn't know the problems. They simply don't solve those problems. I will NEVER EVER return to those hotels. ”

  • The areas outside of the rooms could be cleaner.

“This hotel exceeded most of our expectations for what we paid. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. The pool area was very nice and large with a waterfall and hot tub. The restaurant was a bit pricey, but overall we enjoyed our stay. We will be back!”

  • Location was convenient to area attractions.
  • Called ahead twice to ensure the we got the requested is what we got. It wasn't.

“Proximity to area attractions and I-4 was good. Hotel staff, other than the personnel at check-in were good. Front desk personnel was less than helpful. Called ahead twice to make sure we were getting the type of room we requested. When we got there stood on line for about 15 minutes. Needed a non-smoking room, got a smoking room. When I brought this to their attention I had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Then was given a room with two doubles when we had requested a king. Not sure I would stay here again and I am a member of Holiday Inn's Priority Club.”

  • Very convenient location on International Drive. Many restaurants within walking distance.
  • The line in the lobby for check-out was very long.

“I loved the location of this hotel. We were able to walk to the Wet N Wild water park and many restaurants without having to fight the traffic on International Drive. Do not try to use their so-called transportation to any of the theme parks though; they only have one trip in the morning and a few limited choices in the evening to return to the hotel. Our room was much bigger than I anticipated and it was clean. It is quite a large hotel and when we went to check out there were only two employees working at the desk and quite a long line. I had already put everything on my credit card and had to stand in line for 20 minutes just for them to tell me I had a zero balance. I cannot believe they do not have an automatic check-out system like many other hotels. Overall, though, I was very happy and would stay there again.”

  • The lobby and outside areas were very nice.
  • Room was not completely clean. Had a smoke free room yet there were cigarette butts in the drawer and condoms. Bought Lysol to spray room with.

“Overall I was not happy and would not return to this hotel. I would not rate this hotel as 3 stars as I have been to 3 star hotels and in my opinion the only thing 3 stars about it was the outside and lobby areas. I did not trust sleeping in my room as to it being clean. There was a hole in the ceiling at the foot of our bed which led me to believe that someone had a camera hanging there to make videos, which would explain the cigarette butts and the condoms. I told the staff about it and the only thing they said was, well I hope the condoms were unopened. ”
