• Hotel was very clean and quiet.
• Too far from Disney, no shuttle bus and one not so helpful lady on travel desk.

“Lovely hotel but too far from Disney Parks as no shuttle bus from hotel which means expensive taxis to Disney Parks. Nearer to sea world and discovery cove. My first visit to travel desk in hotel disappointing as staff member were not very helpful it was an ordeal to get a civil answer from her. Next day different lady at travel desk and I was dealt with in a more helpful manner. Rest of hotel was staff great. The swimming pool is beautiful and even though no life guard on duty is safe as depths are clearly marked. Except for the march of the ducks to and from the hotel fountain I would not recommend this hotel to families with children as we could not even get an ice cream from restaurant at pool!”

• Staff was friendly and helpful.
• Construction started at 6:30 am, parking was not convenient - even with the shuttle, The gym was an extra charge and no coffee maker in the room.

“The Peabody was a nice hotel, but could be a lot nicer with a few minor changes. Close to the convention center and IMAX. Some decent restaurants within walking distance. We found the $10 charge for the gym pretty funny. Walking to the lobby for coffee was a minor inconvenience as was taking the shuttle to the parking garage. The construction that started at 6:30 am was what bothered us the most. Would we stay again. Probably after construction is done, and if we were in town for a convention. Would not recommend it to other families.”

• The lobby was stunning. We spent nearly an hour and enjoyed all the decor and artwork.
• The bathroom did not have a vent fan or heat lamp.

“I have stayed at most 4 star Orlando and The Peabody was qualitative leap beyond all others. When asked how it compared to the just completed Westin (Convention Ctr.)Nearby, I responded. The Peabody is an experience within itself and in par with the finest resorts in the area. Yes, The Peabody is that great!”

• Clean, luxury public areas, wonderful staff.
• The add-on fees (valet, Internet, room water, no free use of gym) makes the place costly. I'd rather pay one all-inclusive fee than get nickel & dimmed.

“Nice, clean, excellent for business travelers using the convention center. Pool is not really child-friendly. The kiddie pool is for babies and toddlers. The staff is top-notch! Only negative is the extra charges and the high cost of the food at the B-line and pool bar.”

• Very friendly staff, very clean and relaxing environment.
• $10 hotel service fee, $30 valet, $18 overnight parking.

“Everything was very nice except the additional fees and charges. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Pointe Orlando and some other restaurants. The hotel restaurant looked very appealing, and we would have tried it had we stayed another day.”

• Public spaces well kept.
• No self-parking $20.00 a night valet required.

“There is no self parking and no parking around the immediate area of the hotel. Thus, your only option is to pay a $20.00 a night valet parking charge. Also expect to see a 10 dollar a night mandatory hotel charge which is added to your bill at the time of check-in. This fee allegedly pays for two bottles of water and wireless internet service. Decent experience was ruined by the feeling that you had to avoid sneezing because the hotel might just charge you an additional fee for doing it on their property.”

• Great staff, comfortable beds, wonderful food and the ducks.
• Had to valet car $18/day (plus a $10 resort fee) and wait over 30 minutes for car.

“Great hotels, with luxurious amenities. Amazing food and bakery in the B-Line diner. Duck in the lobby are always a draw. Only bad part had to pay $18/day in mandatory valet and then wait over 30-40 minutes for them to get your car. Also the $10.65 resort fee (for 2 bottles of water, trolley tickets, and overnight shoe shine) should be optional for that not in need of these services.”

• As soon as
  I arrived early than check in they immediately gave me my room..I just loved the place.
• Right now they have no parking lot for you to park on your own. There are renovations going on.

“It is right in International drive close to all orlando attractions. beautiful marble floors throughout and spacious rooms flat screen
TV and internet access. Also the pool area was resort type also spacious. Will definitely stay there again.”

• AmeriSuites hotel room did not drain the water when showering.

“The Peabody Orlando is beautiful and has many amenities available, but I only occupied the room for about 5 to 6 hours. Great place and very impressive - the AmeriSuites was quiet and had many things available to accommodate the visitor. It is a friendly environment with great staff. I was not happy with the shower (the water builds up as you shower rather than draining).”

“Everything was wonderful, but the valet wait was a little too long with a small child. We waited 30 minutes our first time and 45 minutes the second day. That is a little to long.”

“We only stayed for one night, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was an additional $10 fee added to the room charge for internet access I didn't use. Staff was helpful and friendly and I would recommend going again.”

• All around excellent place to stay.
• Parking was troublesome due to construction.

“My wife and I were absolutely amazed at how upscale the hotel was when we arrived. We were on our honeymoon and were not disappointed. The hotel is massive (largest in area) and has a friendly staff. Gigantic pool outside for everyone, beautiful interior, and helpful staff are just a few of its virtues. It is within walking distance to an upscale shopping and dining complex and close to the parks (closest to Universal). I would recommend the Peabody to anybody.”

• Beautiful, clean, high-end, valet parking included everyone helpful and caring.
• The TV channels were not child friendly. Needs Disney and Nickelodeon for the kid.

“We all enjoyed the amenities, the location, and the beauty of the hotel. The rooms were clean and lovely. The bathrooms were big with a shower and bath which is nice. The valet service included was convenient. The whole stay was very relaxing. I would highly recommend the hotel with the warning your that if you are traveling with kids there will limited kid television.”

“They had a six dollar a day charge for parking, a ten dollar a day charge for internet which I didn't need or use and a one dollar charge for the room safe which I didn't use. The hotel parking is under construction so you have to wait for a shuttle to take you or you need to walk to and from the parking garage, it is a good 5 minute walk about 4 block from the hotel. I was very disappointed in the $16/day additional charges that were added. At the point that I checked in there was no way to get out of those.”

“The hotel was under construction and there was the inconvenience of parking at a remote parking lot a few blocks down the road. The front desk clerk told me that I will not be charged. However, I found out when I checked out what she really meant was that I will not be charged by the parking lot, but I will be charged by the hotel $6/night for parking. I understand they are under construction, but shouldn't we get free parking since we the guests are being inconvenienced to have to take a shuttle every time we leave? Also, there is a $10 resort fee per night for staying at the hotel.”

• Under re-construction. Making it in convenient.

“The Peabody Orlando is under renovation. Self parking has been moved 1/2 mile away. A shuttle runs from the hotel about every 20 minutes or so; the cost for this is $6 per day to park in a structure down the street. This is most inconvenient. They still charge a $15 resort fee that is supposed to include self-parking - not good. Also, we moved twice because rooms smelled of cigarette smoke. We usually love this hotel, but the construction will not be finished until 2010, so beware! If you're o.k. with paying $18 for valet or an addl. $6 for self-parking that you have to wait to shuttle down to, then the Peabody is still nice.”

• General up keep of some common areas and pool were lacking (i.e. weeds and debris).

“Marriott bedding continues to be some of the best. The pool and grotto were great, but some of the common area fixtures were worn the pool area had many weeds and natural debris that should have been cleaned away every day for a hotel of this level.”

• Beautiful and elaborate public areas (lobby, pool etc) and excellent location for Sea World/Universal guests.
• Upon arrival, only rooms with double beds were available and I expected a king.

“We enjoyed our stay at the Peabody Hotel in Orlando, FL. The room was nice and well maintained and the hotel provided many services that we were not expecting (first time stay at a 4-star hotel). The pool and lobby areas were very nice and accommodating. They were in the middle of a construction project to add another tower to the hotel and a parking garage. In the mean time, they provided sufficient off-site parking with 24-hour shuttle to/from the parking site with low wait times.”

• No parking and no valet. Had to park a mile away at public garage and take a shuttle back to the hotel. Very poor arrangement.

• Beautiful lobby area with the Peabody ducks was super.
• Building of additional rooms eliminated parking at the hotel. Parking garage was off premise.

“Very nice experience. Adding on more rooms was only a minor problem for parking - hotel used shuttle bus to and from parking garage. The nicest hotel I've ever stayed in period.”

• Duck March unique and charming, all service staff excellent, pool and area very nice.
• Could have better option for self parking.

“Four stars and excellent friendly and professional service staff, right down to the housekeepers. Excellent comfort and cleanliness. The Duck March was a unique and fun experience for my 8 year old daughter, charming and intimate occasion for such a large convention sized property. Recreation/pool area was very nice, uncrowded, very large salt pool. Nice!”

• Spacious rooms, nice exercise facilities and large pool area.
• $6.00 for parking (self-park), $10 for exercise facilities, $10 daily hotel fee.

“Beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The duck parade is a must for children. It would be helpful to know ahead of time that the hotel charges a daily fee of $10.00 and the exercise room is $10.00 plus parking is extra.”

• The most comfortable and clean room I've ever stayed in.
• There is construction going on which interferes with convenience.

“Due to construction we had to park a few blocks away and be transported by bus to and from the hotel. This was extremely inconvenient as I was on a Biz trip. Spending 11 hrs/day in meetings this parking issue added 1/2- 1hr. Not to mention that I had to climb the steps into and out of the bus, carrying a heavy bag with my laptop and other tools (and the drivers do not help you). Getting to my room by 8 pm with my dinner that was always cold by the time I picked it up, went to the garage, spent 20 mins looking for a space, another 10 getting to the bus area with my dinner and all my bags, waiting 5 - 20 mins for bus then 5 - 10 mins to hotel then up to my room. It made me in such a bad mood every day. But then when it was all behind me and I finally settle in that extremely clean and comfortable room I seemed to get over it. Maybe while they are under construction people should be informed before they accept this hotel. However, this was a stressful biz trip and there was a lot of added stress.”

“There wasn't any self parking at the hotel valet parking was $18 or you could park away from the hotel for $6 and catch the shuttle back. The shuttle to the parks was $18 per person. When checking out there was a charge of $10 I ask what it was for and was told that it covered the 2 bottles of water they had put in the room.”

• The parking was horrible. We were forced to valet and none told me it cost $18. Then we had to wait long for our car.
