“The concierge did not provide the service requested upon our arrival. Their attempt to make up for the mishap was terrible. All parking was valet and it was $18 per day. The valet staff was slow (45 minutes to an hour to get the car).” May 28, 2008 by
Randy from Jacksonville, FL
“The Hotel itself deserves the 4 Star but not while they have all the parking problems. It gave the trip a black eye. Even with all the problems they charged over $18/day to park.” May 28, 2008 by
Mary from Apopka, FL
“The hotel is undergoing construction and there are no parking lots. All parking is valet and the hotel was unable to deal with valentine all the cars. We waited from 40 minutes to over an hour both to drop the car off and to pick it up each time we came or went from the hotel.” May 28, 2008 by
Lisa from Boynton Beach, FL
“We checked in for a 24-hr anniversary stay. We were frustrated by hotel traffic delaying our entrance to the hotel. We soon discovered this was a result of only 2 lanes of traffic and required valet at $18 (presumably plus tip in/out as usual). We eventually checked in. The lobby and room were very nice, it appears the bathroom hadn't yet been as renovated as everything else, but it was fine. Due to valet complications, we elected not to venture out again for dinner or entertainment as we had discussed. We took a walk around the hotel. The pool area was nice, then it began to rain. We came back into the room. We selected some movies to watch later in the evening, and ate dinner in the Beeline Diner. There was quite a variety of menu items, and we enjoyed what we ate. We elected to finish dessert upstairs while we watched a movie. Unfortunately, another storm came through and the movie channels were provided by satellite, so we missed the 1st part of the movie because the satellite service went down. Not that big of a deal. Enjoyed breakfast, and were fairly satisfied with our stay until we decided to check out. We exited the hotel to find dozens of people outside who had already been waiting over an hour to have their car retrieved. My husband became about the 40th person in line, and it took about 90 minutes before they were able to retrieve our car. I have never witnessed such a poorly managed situation. We may never hand our keys over to a valet again. Families who were trying to get to theme parks were delayed, people were trying to keep children entertained. If people left the area, they were told that after 20 minutes their cars would be remarked. It would be a miracle if people didn't miss flights and rental car return times as a result. I am surprised that police presence wasn't required.” May 28, 2008 by
Raquel from Boca Raton, FL
“This hotel made my Orlando trip. I felt like I had gone some place exotic even though I was only 3 hours from home. Food was excellent. Desserts are a must-have at the diner. TV in my bathroom - how awesome is that! I also had some limited free web access through the TV. Valet parking was terrible, but my fee was waived and they offered free drinks and snacks while I waited. Best part was seeing the duck parade in the lobby.” May 28, 2008 by
Viraj S. from Rochester Hills, MI
“Overall I was somewhat unsatisfied because of the mandatory valet parking. On Sunday before memorial day, I waited 65 minutes for my car to be brought to me due to the amount of people staying and not enough staff. Terrible experience.” May 28, 2008 by
Barbara from Pinellas Park, FL
“Enjoyed our stay. After paying $18 for valet I was very disappointed my car was covered in mud when we left. I know it rained but there was no reason it should be brought back to someone in that condition.” May 28, 2008 by
Susan from Melbourne, FL
“The hotel and staff it self were excellent. Unfortunately they are building a new tower of rooms and a conference center and so there is no self parking and you had to do valet which was $20 a day. It was absolutely chaotic, not enough valets and it took us over 30 minutes to get our car - not good if you are in a rush (and we thought about it beforehand and called down early).” May 28, 2008 by
Jennifer from Palm City, FL
“The owner of this hotel did not put his guests needs before his desire to expand. Demolishing guest parking to build another tower on the hotel would have been fine if he built a new parking garage first! The valet was working as hard as they could to accommodate all the guests, but there were not enough of them to handle the sheer volume of work.” May 28, 2008 by
Adam from Boynton Beach, FL
“Everything was great with the hotel - the room, the staff, and the view from the 25th floor. However, the required valet parking was horrible - it took 45 minutes to get the car on Saturday morning and 2 Hours to get car when we checked out Sunday morning.” May 27, 2008 by
Jimmy from Lexington, SC
“Awful stay. $10 fee for two bottles of water. Took 45 mins to get my car parked and two hours to get it back. No one anywhere to help.” May 27, 2008 by
Cathie from Port St Lucie, FL
“I would recommend this hotel to anyone but I would caution them to beware of the valet service. Right now due to construction, all must use the service. Getting your vehicle in a timely fashion during a busy time is impossible. I was told I couldn't call down for my car early, having instead to request it in person when I was ready. Doing that, I still had over an hour wait in the humidity, missing the first workshop of my conference that morning. Management should have been involved but there was no sign of them. Others waiting shared how it had happened the same the day before.” May 27, 2008 by
Tom from Indian Rocks, FL
“Parked out car in the mud field in the rear. Took over an hour to retrieve car on the morning we were departing.” May 27, 2008 by
Maria from North Miami, FL
“The hotel has no self-parking. The food prices are ridiculous and food quality is very low. When checked in, got a dirty room, and had to be moved. Although the hotel is nice and clean (except the dirty room) there is a lack of communication between staff, and I would never stay here again.” May 27, 2008 by
Amy from Parrish, FL
“There were significant issues with the parking.” May 27, 2008 by
Keith from Weston, FL
“Beautiful hotel and will stay there again.” May 19, 2008 by
Jennifer from Lake Worth, FL
“Clean, staff was friendly, nice amenities, although you had to pay to workout, which I thought was silly, but otherwise, a great convenient hotel. I would for sure stay there again.” May 19, 2008 by
M. S. from Vero Beach, FL
“The hotel front desk staff was very good.” May 15, 2008 by
Brad from Palm Bay, FL
“The ducks are great!” May 15, 2008 by
Katie from Lake Worth, FL
“We stayed at the Peabody Orlando for a weekend trip to Discovery Cove and Aquatic. The Peabody did not disappoint. Everything was first class at this hotel. The room was immaculate, grounds were beautiful, and service was fantastic. Concierge level offered a nice selection for breakfast, and cookies in the evening. Even our kids had a ball. Aside from the mandatory valet parking, we loved every single thing about the Peabody and would stay there again if given the opportunity.” May 15, 2008 by
Tina from Oakland Park, FL
“Hotel Peabody is great, but the staff is clearly only interested in being nice when it is time to be tipped. 1/3 of the staff is excellent, the rest area far less than. The valet parking is very bad and should not be required. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The information regarding the upgrade to club status was inaccurate and was definitely not worth the money under our circumstances.” May 14, 2008 by
Angela from Key Biscayne, FL
“Really good hotel, met my expectations, but for the Valet parking. I found it too expensive ($18 plus tax per day) and desorganized, and didn't have the option of self parking to avoid wating in line to get my car.” May 14, 2008 by
Cecille from Ormond Beach, FL
“Have stayed here before and loved it again. Highly recommended!” May 14, 2008 by
Jan from Odessa, FL
“Great, clean but do have fees attached.” May 13, 2008 by
Leslie from Palm Bay, FL
“Always a favorite. The rooms are comfortable, lovely, and have all the conveniences you'd expect in a 4-star. Excellent restaurants, friendly and helpful staff. Sounds silly, but a great shower with wonderful towels are a big deal in Orlando these days, and all too rare.” May 12, 2008 by
William from Addison, IL
“My wife and I were greeted as if we were part of the Royal Family. At the front desk was very informative about the hotel and its surroundings. We found the entire staff very helpful. Housekeeping, Valet and front desk made our visit comfortable and soothing. The Peabody was a treat and a delight for the both of us. We will return!” May 7, 2008 by
Eva from Tampa, FL
“The hotel self-parking lot is under construction for expansion, so we were not able to park our own car. We used the valet service and noticed after we checked out that there was an $18.00 per night fee for parking. I'm not sure where the hotel thought we would park our car since the self-parking is closed. The hotel is beautiful and very comfortable.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Kristin from Fort Myers, FL
“Very nice. Shower/tub was slightly old and room was very warm even though we had the thermostat to 65 degrees. It never got cooler than 79 degrees in the room.” Apr 30, 2008 by
Rick from Fort Myers, FL
“I stay here frequently, perhaps 15 times a year. The location is quite good, especially for convention center or Seaworld or universal. Disney world is a little farther but not hard to get to at all. One of the little "perks" here used to be free self-parking, but with the construction, its valet parking only at $18+tax+tip per day. Because everyone has to valet now, it takes forever to get out of the hotel. Dropping off is easier, because you just throw them the keys and go to your room. Another pet peeve daily $10 resort fee. For me, its worth it because it covers WiFi, two bottles of water a day, and newspaper, which are all things I need and want. Free trolley passes too, but I have a giant stack of these at home now, since I drive myself. If you're staying for an extended period, that resort fee can really add up, though. Overall, though, this is the best hotel near the convention center there is the only true four stars in fact. (Its not nearly as nice as JW Marriott, or the Ritz, but those hotels are in the middle of nowhere and hard to get to).” Apr 23, 2008 by
Mike from Naples, FL
“Hotel located next to convention area. Lobby/bar area very nice. Staff always had a hello how are you doing for you. Rooms were nice, bathroom had a tub big enough if you wanted to take a bath. Pool and pool area very nice. I would stay here again. I would not eat at the dinner again, food expensive compared to what you receive. But over all, very nice hotel, bar/lounge area had comfortable seating just to have a drink and watch the ducks swim.” Apr 23, 2008 by
Bryan from Port St John, FL
“I love the hotel, but the last time I visited was horrible. I was woken up on a Sunday morning by hammering and sawing in the room above me. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at the Peabody! I will more than likely wait until the construction is over to consider staying again!” Apr 18, 2008 by
Shelly from Tampa, FL
“This hotel is very nice. The staff was super friendly and we even saw LL Cool J working out in the gym there. The food in the restaurants was the best of any hotel we've ever stayed in. Overall it was a great place for a weekend getaway and the price was incredible!” Apr 17, 2008 by
Shawn from Land O Lakes, FL
“I love this hotel and always have a nice time, however this time I had a nasty surprise. The hotel is no longer offering self parking and valet is the only option at $18 per night plus tax it really adds up. Plus when the valet brings your car you feel the need to tip each time. Also there is a $10 per day hotel fee, and we had a guest come visit for about two hours and was charged $10 for parking. I am really not happy about all the extra charges, but the hotel and staff were great as always. Just be prepared for the extra cost.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Dan from Saint Paul, MN
“The Peabody is a luxurious hotel and well worth. The Peabody put a smile on my wife's face when we walked into the room.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Ken V. from Atlantic Beach, FL
“Fantastic place other the cost for the gym and the bogus fee for a trolley ticket and web service in your room.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Robin from Cape Coral, FL
“There is only one word for this place great!” Apr 9, 2008 by
Heidi B. from Hernando, FL
“Great hotel to stay at. Very clean. Friendly staff.” Apr 8, 2008 by
Barbara from Melbourne, FL
“The rooms were very nice, extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. The food at the express diner restaurant was very good and served very quickly. The only problem was that you must valet park your car, and they charge $18.00 a day for the valet parking.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Michelle from Brandon, FL
“This hotel is perfect for a business traveler. Great location, lots of meeting rooms. The Pool area was old and in need of a remodel. Our room was not ready when we arrived (1:30 PM) they took our cell number and advised they would call when it was ready. We advised we would be waiting by the pool and would like to get in our room as soon as possible. They never called us- and didn't apologize for the lack of promised service. we finally got our room at 5 PM.” Apr 2, 2008 by
Joe from Tampa, FL
“This hotel is perfect for anyone willing to spend a little extra money to stay in a beautiful, well-maintained, immaculate, fun hotel. The only disappointment I had was the $18 valet and $10 service charge fees we were issued upon arrival; even then, I halfway expected a fee or two upon check in. We've stayed there many times and will stay there as many more times as possible - an excellent hotel.” Apr 1, 2008 by
Marion from Rochester, MI
“A true 4-Star hotel. The rooms are average size, very clean and nicely furnished. We overlooked the pool area and Sea World from our room on the 20th floor, which was very enjoyable. Be prepared to pay an additional service fee of $ 10.- per day. Valet parking only, for an additional fee.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Amy from Highland Park, IL
“The Peabody is a lovely hotel. We visited on my daughters' spring break and looked forward to the lovely pool area. Unbelievably, the pool was closed for 3 days of our 5 day stay "for cleaning" -- at the end of March -- in the middle of spring break season! What were they thinking? So we had to pack up and spend $130 a day (plus food, travel time, inconvenience of not being able to loll at our own pool) to go to water parks. Not good.” Mar 29, 2008 by
Wayne from Knoxville, TN
“Everything you would expect in a four star selection.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Shanna from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
“The hotel and staff are very nice. The only issue that I had was with the Valet staff. The hotel is 100% valet at $19 per day, which is a great price. While standing outside the lobby, I witnessed a valet driver try to squeeze a large suburban between 2 parked cars, catching one car on the side and not stopped to check out the damage to either vehicle. In addition, the parking area for the valeted cars was full of figure eight ruts. Not impressed with the valet.” Mar 27, 2008 by
Steve from Holland, MI
“Great stay overall. We left a small jewelry box in the room on accident and they have not found it. So if we dont get it back we will not be recommending Peabody or returning to stay there.” Mar 26, 2008 by
Maureen from Algonquin, IL
“The lobby bar serves food and drink and you can also dine or relax in the sun filled lobby atrium. Could have more food choices, but overall good fit for my two night stay. Everyone was both professional and friendly and I mean everyone who worked there. The front desk called my cell phone to let me know when my first room was ready, and then again to let me know when my upgraded room was available the next day. I left my packed luggage in the room and it was all taken care of for me while I relaxed by the pool bar. I will return.” Mar 25, 2008 by
Debbie from Mays Landing, NJ
“Overall the hotel is a very clean and friendly hotel. I really liked the ducks theyre great for little ones.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Sheryl from Marietta, GA
“This hotel was amazing.” Mar 23, 2008 by
Ashton from Jacksonville, FL
“My first impression of the hotel was it was nice and clean, with a very courteous and friendly staff. The room (Superior with two double beds) was quite small, but clean with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. There are three points that keep me from raving about my experience. 1) The quality of the food served at the B-Line Diner was well below what you'd expect from such a nice hotel. The presentation and service were excellent, but the taste was far surpassed by the IHOP we stopped at on the way home (seriously). 2) The extra charges ($18.00 per day for mandatory valet parking and $11.00 per day for two bottles of water and an unused/unneeded internet connection) were an annoying surprise. 3) This was hopefully an anomaly beyond the Peabody's control: We were evacuated due to a fire in the laundry room for approximately one hour and then greeted by another fire alarm at 10:30 pm the same night that turned out to be a false alarm. Neither incident was even commented on by Peabody management. Other than these three points, our stay at the Peabody Orlando was positive.” Mar 22, 2008 by
Angela from Tampa, FL
“The hotel offers an excellent location to enjoy SeaWorld. It's an I-drive trolley stop and the trip to the park takes less than 10 minutes with drop off right at the entrance. The hotel is also a very short walk to Pointe Orlando which offers good dining choices, shopping and movie theatre. The public spaces are very nice and the fountains add a touch of class and relaxation to the stay. Our young son (3 1/2) loved the Peabody Ducks which march to a fountain at 11 am and march out at 5 pm. We also enjoyed eating breakfast daily at the Bline diner. We were able to upgrade to an executive room which offered more space with a King and pullout sleeper for $35 extra per night. There is a daily $10 resort fee which includes wireless internet, 2 bottles of water and complimentary trolley tickets. There is also a mandatory $18 Valet fee and, when the hotel is busy, means a very long wait for your car. This is the only negative. We very much enjoyed the Peabody and will be staying again soon.” Hotel Representatives:
