• The bed was very comfortable and the location was excellent.
• No refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms; big problems.

“I appreciate always having the USA Today newspaper delivered under my door. I didn't appreciate that I arrived at 1 p.m. and there wasn't a room ready for my arrival. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. I thought that was really odd. Overall, the place was well kept and clean. The room was beautiful and the staff were very friendly. Other than not having a refrigerator and a microwave in my room. I enjoyed my stay.”

• Staff was friendly and that was wonderful.
• The rooms are desperately dated.

“The theme of the hotel is quaint and special, but the are old and badly in need of new carpeting, new A/c units, furniture, etc They need a restaurant that is within the hotel that you can access at night. I would rate this hotel at a 2.5 until they renovate.”

“This hotels location was excellent. It was walking distance to I -Drive. I would stay here again if in need of a cheap room for the night, but not for an amazing vacation experience. The hotel staff was very friendly.”

• Though I arrived very late they greeted me with choc chip cookies, check in was very quick, beds very comfy!

• The dining staff was very welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere was very whimsical.
• The office and baggage staff could have been friendlier.

“This hotel is great if you are not planning to spend that much time there. It was in a convenient location in respect to restaurants and theme parks. However, I was disappointed in the size of the room and the rooms could use new carpet. The cleaning and dining staff was very friendly and accommodating. However, I didn't appreciate the bellboys and the office staff congregating in the front of the hotel and using inappropriate language in front of my 5yr old.”

• The over all location was a key factor for me. Also the appearance of the hotel inside was very nice and inviting.
• Parking was tight.

“Anyone looking to get away for the weekend to shop or enjoy the theme parks, should consider this hotel. It's close to everything and when you're ready too just relax it's plush enough to do that too.”

• The hotel was so unusual and was a treat for the kids and the adults. The staff was unusually friendly.
• The hallway smelled like smoke.

“This was a great experience all the way around. It was an unusual hotel with an unusually friendly staff. Great location with a lot to see and do. Very pleased and wish we could have had the same place the following weekend.”

• Beds were comfortable and it was pretty quiet, close to many restaurants.
• AC too hot, rooms were old and our bathroom fan was broken.

“Rooms were ok but the lobby was too small and breakfast too expensive, especially when right across the way was several restaurants much cheaper with more food. The room was too hot, the whole place needs re-work. AC units not powerful enough too keep cool. I slept without any covers to stay moderate cool. I will say the pool was great and of course the cookies but I would rate this hotel as a 2-star.”

• All the atmosphere built around was beautiful and made the children imagination run wild.
• Room could have been a little bigger but was still very nice.

“This trip was wonderful. The Double Tree Castle hotel is definitely family friendly, the staff provided all 4 of my children with a book bag filled with activities to do around the hotel and on the way home (thank you). This was just a weekend getaway before the kids went back to school and the hotel staff went above and beyond and made it very special for us as a family.”

• When we checked in the staff was extremely nice and gave me and my son a hot cookie.
• There wasn't anything I didn't like, it was a great experience.

“The hotel was clean and all the staff especially the front desk was very helpful. My son is four and he wanted to go bowling, the front desk gave me good directions and sent us on our way. I had a great time and so did my son, we will definitely do this again. We were going to sea world and the hotel was 5 minutes away it was perfect.”

• The price and the proximity to activities and restaurants.
• The room was a little cramped and could possibly use updating.

“The hotel was great for the price. The room would be a little cramped for 4 people, but very adequate for two. Also, the beds were comfortable and linens were nice and clean. Finding a parking spot can be a challenge at times. The in hotel restaurant was a little pricey. Overall very satisfied and would stay there again.”

• It had a nice pool.
• The dryer in this hotel did not dry cloths. It took up to three try at $2.00 each time. Total $6.00.

“Our kids loved the look of the hotel. The room was small. They did have two queen size beds which worked out well. The bus time to go to the park was not early enough. The bus left for 10:30 which put us at the parks later. The pool was nice. The breakfast was expensive. The hotel we stayed at last time had free breakfast.”

• The lobby was clean and the staff checked us in immediately. Once in the room, it was very comfortable and clean.
• The downstairs bar.

“The downstairs bar was outdoors, very small and not very accommodating. We were stranded at the hotel because of severe rain and spent sometime in the bar area. We would have preferred an intimate environment possibly with entertainment and finger foods. We would have spent much more time and money there if the accommodations had been acceptable. We did not use the pool area, but it would be a place we would consider visiting again.”

“It did not compare to the other 3 star hotels we have stayed at. The room was not clean, the decor was outdated and the pool was average. The property shares parking facilities with two restaurants and the first night we had to park at a neighorboring hotel and walk because the lot was full. The hotel is in a convenient location and was easy to get to using the back service road.”

• Good hotel for a good price.
• Internet should be free of charge. There should be more complimentary shuttles between the hotel and the parks.

“I found the hotel clean with friendly staff. It met my expectations from residence point; however, charging $11 for internet usage per day is not appropriate for this kind of hotel. Every hotel offers internet service free these days. There should be complimentary shuttles from the airport to the hotel and back and more shuttles between the hotel and the theme parks like Disney or Universal.”

• Our room wasn't as clean as I would've liked it to be.

“This was a perfect hotel for our family. We have 3 young children and they loved the "castle" look. The staff was very friendly and the cookies were fabulous! The location was perfect for us as we had a conference at the Shingle Creek Resort close-by. Cafe Tu-Tu Tango was right next door and it was a fun dinner for the children. This hotel was not an upscale hotel, by any means, but perfect for those of us with little children and perfect if you're not spending a lot of time in the room. The beds were comfortable and that was all that mattered!”

“The staff was awesome - very nice and great recommendations for dining. My kids loved the pool - they are a bit older - not a kiddies pool. Pool bar and restaurant great too! The hotel rooms felt older - in need of re-dos. Carpet and paint very old.”

“An excellent stay close to the convention center, Seaworld, and Universal. Also very close to the turnpike and interstate 4, so getting to Disney is a short trip also. Very clean rooms. Nice pool. Good breakfasts in the lobby area made to order. Excellent service--way beyond anything else I've experienced in the area.”
