• Complimentary breakfast and great fitness room. Three sinks was great in the morning!
• The sauna was out of order while I was there, but it wasn't a big deal.

“This hotel was easy to get to from the freeway and is only a short drive from Downtown Cleveland so you get the ease of suburban living and the access to the city's attractions if you want them. I really liked the complimentary cooked to order breakfast and the complimentary cocktails in the evening. I really enjoyed my stay and I was actually sad when I had to check out. That usually only happens when I stay somewhere for more than a week, but I was only at this place to 2 days!”

• Sub-par cleanliness - bathroom was never clean even after the clean and the tables had coffee "ring" from previous guests that was never wiped off.

“Good hotel for families with children, but can't count on their cleanliness. Bring a can of Lysol and disinfectant wipes.”

• I loved the pond with the live turtles in the Atrium along with the live plants.
• The room that was left for me was a smoking room but it was all they had.

• The Atrium was beautiful and felt like a real getaway.
• The bed was not the most comfortable.

“The Embassy Suites in Beachwood, Ohio is a very clean and well maintained facility. The rooms are very comfortable, yet small. The bed was not very comfortable, but there were plenty of pillows. The Manager's reception was treated like a party, but the only snacks were chips, cheese curls and tortilla chips. No dips, no appetizers. The staff was very friendly, the bartender especially so. The morning breakfast was excellent. The line for omelets was long, but it was a Sunday morning.”

• Loved their cook-to-order breakfast & they had a 5:30-7 free happy hour in the atrium!
• Lots of chaos in the pool (no parents in sight); workout room not too great. People not very friendly.

“We loved staying in this hotel. Location (Independence) was awesome, we went shopping around (we're foodies so we loved going to Trader Joe's, Wild Oats (Whole Foods) and some of the restaurants). We were in Cleveland, but still somewhat remote & not too busy/chaotic where we were. The hotel room was very nice. We had 3 sinks in our room. We had the king suite (nonsmoking). And it had a living room area off of the bedroom where they had a nice desk area, a sofa bed, and a little kitchenette area (with a sink, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, and mirror). The bathroom was OK, not especially spacious, but did I mention that all the sink vanities were in granite? Then our bedroom had a vanity also. The bedding was also very nice & comfortable (I think it was a down comforter, but not sure). The breakfast was phenomenal!”

“Besides the fact the girls at the front desk watched us load our bags on a vallot cart our self and push it to the 4th floor, the hotel was great. Pool, breakfast, evening gathering room was above my expectations.”

• Lack of options for snacks.

“Embassy Suites was beautiful. The rooms were spacious and clean. Hot tub, pool, and fitness center met my expectations. The complimentary breakfast bar was excellent, and the complimentary happy hour with h'ors devoirs and drinks was a nice surprise. Definitely will be going back to Embassy Suites.”

• We loved the common area. The plants and atmosphere were beautiful.
• We had a smoking room so it did have an odor. Lots of noisy families (hockey tournament).

“The hotel was really inviting and beautiful. The room was set up really nice with the TV and sitting area up front and the bed in the back of the space. Had to walk a ways to the elevator. It was pretty noisy in the early evening with families there for a hockey tournament. In the morning, the stairwells were very dirty with litter from the night before (cups, popcorn, and pizza). The hotel charged our debit card as well as our credit card for the room. It took 4 days for it to be credited to our account. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.”

• The free breakfast alone would make me want to come back.
• The elevators were very slow, and there were many kids in the hotel playing.

“For the amount of money I paid, I got free (and excellent) cook-to-order breakfast, free parking, free in-room wireless internet, free in-room use of microwave and fridge, free use of pool and fitness centre, and a decent sized suite, I would rather live in this hotel than my own apartment! There is even an on-site Laundromat!”

• We loved our room and the facility.
• The whirlpool was extremely hot. The pool was a little dirty.

“We enjoyed our stay and wished we had another night there! Very little minor problems and those being: pool was not really clean, if you touch the bottom of the pool in the arc, it's slimy. The whirlpool was too hot to stay more than a couple of minutes. But we love the temperature of the pool and outside of the pool area. Our bedspread was on the bed the wrong way, had to sleep with the tags on our face! We had to fix it ourselves. We do hope to go back again soon. Lastly, a maid knocked on our door and then immediately walked in at 9:20 a.m. and we were asleep! We thought that checkout was at noon!”

• The room was well maintained and the hotel located in a quiet accessible location, staff very friendly and professional.
• Although I had the do not disturb sign out until 11 am on Sunday, room was not cleaned that day.

• We requested a room with 2 beds but were put in a room with one queen bed. Also elevators were very slow. We once waited 25 minutes for it.

“At the outset I was disappointed but it was due to the wedding guests and the young teenagers there for a local hockey game. They were all unbelievably noisy and inconsiderate. However, when they all left the next day, our stay became extremely pleasant.”

• The room was neat, clean, and free of cigarette odor.
• This past week's stay was top notch.

“My experience with stays at this location has been dependent upon the front desk staff. One employee, who is there roughly every-other Monday, does not even consult the computer system when I enquire about non-smoking room availability. He simply says "No" or 'We're all filled up'. The other front desk personnel I have encountered at this hotel always check, and have always been more than happy to move me to a non-smoking room after checking the computer. As I have spent literally thousands of dollars staying at this hotel since June of this year, I would think that the young man at the front desk would value my business more than he does. He could learn from his female peers.”

• The room stunk. I hate smoking rooms!

“This hotel is in a great area, close to wonderful shops and restaurants. Easy on/off a freeway as well. The rooms are large, with a fridge and microwave. The breakfast buffet is included and has everything you could want for breakfast. Omelets (made to order) breakfast meats, breads, cereals, fruits, yogurts.”

• Convenience of location. Room set-up for our needs.
• Our room, 432, had a most disappointing stale cigarette odor.

“Other than the unpleasant smell already noted the hotel met our needs. Having worked in the hospitality business for 30+ years the staff was fairly responsive, yet there was a noticeable absence of supervision. We had to call for supplies, had to have maintenance change out remotes [didn't function - batteries]. The sundry shop was poorly stocked and clerk displayed an attitude. Lady at the front desk checked us in and was most helpful in reassigning our 2nd room on our 2nd day. The facial tissue is a poor quality and throughout the hotel, there seemed to be an absence of concern for overflowing trash [inside & outside]. The fitness center was purportedly shut down for movement of equipment. Yet it never was functional in five days.”

• Very nice accommodations. Excellent room service!
• My 12 yr. Old daughter was with me and we were very alarmed with this!

“Good, except for the incident that occurred on Sunday morning at 7am! (on our way to the hotel breakfast ) Needless to say. Our appetite was gone. My daughter was in town for an elite gymnastics meet and I was very sorry that we were subjected to the situation. ”

• A wedding was held in the lobby while we were there.

“My family enjoyed our stay very much. The only problem was a wedding was in the foyer/lobby and the music was very loud. otherwise we had a great time. The hotel was clean and the service was great. The game room could use some improvements.”

“The Embassy Suites in Beachwood is located in a nice, secure area, and boasts spacious, comfortable rooms. As part of the stay, the breakfast was included, which included an omelet bar cooked to order. They were short-handed, so it took a while to get through the line, but it was worth the wait- tasted great. The staff were a little less than warm and gracious like you typically see in a 3 star and up hotel, but they were courteous. The lobby is a bit dated, though neat, with foliage and fountains. It's stuck between a Holiday Inn Holidome and the Opryland (more on the Holidome side, but still nice). Great pool and workout room that actually included dumbbells. Would certainly love to see this hotel pop up as the purchased site again.”
