• Exercise room needs an upgrade badly.

“The location was very good to the areas we wanted to see in JAX. Staff is very friendly. The exercise room is out of date, both treadmill and bike need upgrade badly. In my second day one of the treadmills was out of function. Rooms were clean. Liked the idea that they have guests laundry room. After a week of traveling, it was nice to do portion of the laundry there.”

• The room was awful and the mgr. Did not even attempt to make us happy.

“When we arrived we were assigned to a handicap room, which does not work with a family with small children. I asked the front desk and they said we are sorry but there is nothing we can do. So I asked for the mgr. I explained that we needed a room with a tub and he said his other customers that booked directly will be arriving soon and will be put into these rooms. Later we requested that somebody come and clean the shower head and they did not, so we were forced to go by cleaners and do it our self.”

• Toilet was broken and ran constantly. Smoke alarm malfunctioned and staff removed it without replacement.

“The hotel advertises their 'pantry', stating that many products can be purchased there for a nominal price. In actuality, prices are quite high, not nominal. $9.95 breakfast is cooked and served in the lobby. Selection is poor and food quality not much better. My bed was not adjustable as advertised and was extremely uncomfortable. My toilet ran constantly and the broken smoke alarm was not replaced, just removed. I would not care to stay in this hotel again.”

• Parking convenience was excellent - personnel was extremely accommodating to us as adults and very tolerant of or youngsters - overall excellent!
• I cannot think of one single thing!

“This was the first hotel I have had the pleasure of using that did not overwhelm me with more 'helpful' accommodations than necessary. It was easy to get into and easy to get out of. The atmosphere was pleasant and the scenery was nice. Also, all outside activities and desires, such as restaurants and entertainment was basically in extremely close proximity. I thoroughly enjoyed the environment and will use that hotel again whenever I visit Jacksonville. And I will visit Jacksonville again!”

• The people working the front desk were very helpful and for dollars a night it is unbeatable.
• The breakfast was overpriced.

“The service was friendly, check-in / check-out was simple, the room was cleaned very well, and had all the things you want and need in the room. Having a refrigerator and microwave was nice as well.”

“Well appointed and extremely comfortable, courteous and attentive staff. Do not miss the opportunity to visit seven bridges across the street. Steak that melts in your mouth and they brew their own beer, you also get a discount with room as well as charge it to your room.”

• The mattress could have been better, the pillows were AWFUL.

“This facility is in a great location, central to a lot of Jacksonville and the Beaches. The rooms were nice, very clean and well prepared. The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. I only had minor glitches. The mattress was too soft and the pillows were miserable. I also couldn't control the air conditioner. Overall though, this is a wonderful place to stay.”

“It couldn't get any better than this. The staff was pleasant, professional, and aimed to please. It is a beautiful hotel located close to lots of shopping places and things to do. When we retired to our room to celebrate our anniversary, we were very comfortable and relaxed. I love the atmosphere!”

• I liked having the "mini-store" in the Lobby.
• I thought some of the rooms were too close to a meeting room.

“Other than my room being too close to a "meeting room", I was very happy with the hotel. Good location, very clean, nice and friendly staff. I liked having a refrigerator and microwave in the room, as well as access to a Pantry/Store right in the lobby. Very convenient!”

• A bit off 95 but no so far I wouldn't do it again.

“The night staff was very helpful at the front desk but in the morning the desk clerk was busy sorting papers and couldn't be bothered too much. I got a free candy bar from the gift shop area because she couldn't take time to take the money. She said to "just take it" with eyes almost rolling.”

• Hotel was convenient to UNF college and also tucked in a quiet setting.
• The younger staff members could be more professional and their breakfast programs could be better.

“The hotel rooms are beautiful and extremely large. Direct access cords should be available in the room without having to run to the desk to hook up and check email, otherwise the rooms are superb. My husband is partially disabled and their disabled rooms are very well equipped and still comfortable and beautiful. We couldn't use the pool it was way too chilly and the pool is not heated. However, overall the hotel was wonderful and I plan to stay again when we visit our daughter who attends UNF.”

• The attitude of the first representative that checked us in and her being uncooperative in changing our room.

“what started out as a really bad experience turned into an absolute wonderful experience, thanks to NICK. After having traveled about 5 hours we looked forward to a relaxing bath, which we would not have had in the first room assigned to us. • The quality was much better than I expected.
• We left our room the next a.m. to find a convention registration table right outside our door. Poor planning on somebody's part.

“It was clean and convenient. The only bad thing was we were placed near a room where a convention of some sort was planned the following day, and they set the registration table up literally right in front of our door and we had to dodge a hoard of convention attenders to get down the hall to the lobby (while trying to carry our luggage). Otherwise, no problem.”
