• They need a larger sign at the entrance.

“This was my first stay in a Residence Inn. I was very impressed and would certainly be glad to stay there again. The room was very comfortable. It would be great for extended stays since it had a stove and refrigerator. The breakfast buffet was very good.”

• All staff very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. This was a very clean hotel. Continental breakfast very nice.

“We stayed at this hotel for one night while attending an event at the Charleston Civic Center. The hotel was great. One of the better places we have stayed. Location was quiet but a short drive to the civic center. The hotel staff was great and very helpful. We will definitely stay her again if in the area.”

“The hotel was pleasantly situated and well landscaped. It was very clean. The room was well organized and the bed and bedding was great! We enjoyed the free breakfast. If we return to Charleston, we would most likely stay at this hotel again.”

• Accommodating to the extreme; pets, groceries, full kitchen, etc.
• Too small a sign directing you to the entrance (which is hidden).

“Bring your groceries, and cook in your room. This was not a hotel room but a studio apartment with room service. They also offer a full on breakfast that Ive paid $10 a head for in other hotels as a complimentary service. Even bring your dog for a fee. Finally, it's local but secluded, so you dont hear the city or the roads. Loved it.”

• Afternoon snack was unexpected and excellent. Breakfast was always good.
• It was easy to get lost while leaving hotel within the neighborhood of hotel.

• I liked the spaciness of the room.
• The location.

“The hotel appears to be in a new development overlooking bare space for now. The breakfast bar was excellent. My only concern was since the development is new the planners did not look at the safety of the road. The hotel is basically on top of a mountain with no lights, no guard rails and no reflectors. It makes it very dangerous at night to drive.”

• Hands down the most helpful staff and city the nicest I have stayed in ever.
• The only thing I found was its in a remote location where you wouldnt find hotels.

“This was my first time not only in Charleston but at a Residence Inn the room is huge, full size fridge, dishwasher, dishes, stove, desk, couch, chair, nice bed big room its all there and the nicest staff around they go out of their way to make you feel good its amazing, hell they will even go shopping for you, the only thing that I could find that was different its found in a part of town you would never expect a hotel to be at, but other than that I would love to stay at another Residence Inn to see if the service would be the same.”

“We got a handicapped room, probably because we didn't check in till 9:30, and the hotel looked full. It was a 'suite', so the kids had to sleep on a fold out, which was ok. Room and hotel were very clean; staff was friendly; breakfast was extensive. A very good experience.”

“The hotel is close enough and just far enough away from the city. Great if you're in town for an event at the civic center (5 minutes away) or going the airport (5 minutes away) I really liked it cause of the location out of the busy city of Charleston. Oh yes, how I could forget the great mountain views from your room.”

• I travel with a person in a wheelchair and the hotel met that need.
• The room for the h/c is next to the staff room so it is noisy and not located close to anything and bad neighborhood.

“This hotel was by far the cleanest hotel we have stayed with as of late, with such a courteous staff. We were upgraded to a one bedroom apartment type of room since they were quite busy and had already filled their normal studio type of rooms. Having access to a refrigerator and microwave and homelike amenities makes for a wonderful stay!”

• Clean, comfortable, loved the in-room fireplace. Close, but removed from congestion. Quiet.
• Breakfast became a bit sparse in busy times. Attendants had to work very hard to not quite keep up, with waits for food.

“I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. It is close, bit perhaps a bit too out of the way for some. We found staff to be accommodating, the rooms to be comfy, and having a kitchen worked well for us. Our room had a gas log fireplace, and our daughter loved sleeping on the pull out couch by the warm glow. Breakfast was not bad, a bit harried, and we would have loved a second breakfast meat instead of only sausage, but that is just us. The quality was good, and the attendants worked hard to provide service with a smile. Wish the Inn had a shoes please policy. Several people, whom I would like to stress were NOT from WV came to breakfast in their nasty, dirty bare feet, children and adults alike. Ruined my appetite. All in all enjoyable stay, would definitely return.”

• The staff was friendly and check-in and check-out procedures were easy.
• Perhaps the hotel had a lot of last minute guests, but there wasn't enough breakfast items, no bacon at all and not enough room to sit down.

“The hotel was in a quiet location, easy on and off access to the interstate. The staff was friendly and while the breakfast was hot, there wasn't much room in the lobby/dining area to sit down. I would stay at this hotel again.”
