• Very friendly staff. Beautifully redecorated.
• Found hair on towels.

• Convenient.
• There was a shouting fight in the hall one night.

“Short drive (12 miles) to the beach or to downtown JAX. Convenient to the highways, shopping and golf.”

• Bathroom was dirty.

“The shower had mildew on long the bottom edge. I took pictures. Also had hairs in the shower. I sent Marriott an e mail but they have not responded. A 3 star hotel should be cleaner.”

• Not great location kind of, off the road a bit difficult to find.
• The room had a musty smell had to go out and buy air fresh and candles.

“Nice people helpful however I requested a fridge when I checked was told it might be possible they would check never heard back. Blankets were VERY thin.”

• Very friendly front desk people.
• Jacuzzi was broken and put guests in danger.

“When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was a pungent smell coming from the lobby. I don't know if they were having an ethnic dinner there, or what, but it smelled AWFUL, and continued to the next day. The rooms were nice, and mostly clean, but we found a condom wrapper under the nightstand The outdoor heated pool very nice, indoor pool was FREEZING, and the Jacuzzi water was way to low and had a cord and light floating around in it! It was not marked out of order; we had to report it to the front desk. Ok, but I am glad I did not pay full price!!!”

• Room was tastefully decorated with quality materials.
• Location seemed to be at the "northern" end of South Jacksonville. Could've been a little closer for our needs.

• Facilities, room, etc., seemed relatively new or recently renovated. Good value. Agree with star rating.
• A little awkward to get to (even though it is right off expressway), but this was no big deal.

“Good business traveler hotel. It seems to have been recently renovated. Rooms were standard Marriott quality and stay was a good value for what I paid. Standard Marriott amenities and nice pool area. Bar opens up right onto reception area, which was sort of strange and a little loud, but that is more an observation than a complaint.”

• Horrible Incompetent hotel staff.

“Forgot the breakfast menu list every single day, forgot to clean the room one day and said I canceled the cleaning (I didn't). Came back one day to find myself locked out of my room. After I get back into the room, I discover that all of my things were gone! They found my suitcases in some back storage room, where God only knows what people did with my things. I was horrified to discover that my sunglasses, umbrella, jacket, and PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION were gone!! Along with some other things. It took a phone call from my daughter to the hotel to get the manager to go and try to find my things. He found everything except my new shampoo and conditioner bottles, my food that I had bought, and some souvenirs. The hotel food was terribly overpriced. The manager said he would send me some "Marriott bucks" to make up for the trouble. As if I would ever stay there again! Then he offered me a meal when I was obviously too upset to eat. And then they expected me to pay for my room service after all that! ”

• Bar area a bit soul less.

“Impressed for the price. Stayed at a Holiday Inn a bit further south with lowest rate of $149!! and not a patch on the Jax Marriott for 1/2 the price.”

“Lovely and modern hotel, very clean and with great service. A little hard to get to from the freeway but worth the effort. Great beds with nice bedding. Good food located very near by, but not in the hotel restaurant.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The Jacuzzi was not warm and the indoor pool was ice cold.

“On a whole the hotel was very nice, was very disappointed in the pool and Jacuzzi. The indoor pool was ice cold and the Jacuzzi wasn't warm at all. The staff was friendly.”

• Needs 24 hour availability of food.

• Good location, mid way between jax and st. aug, right off 95.
• There is an ongoing renovation that you will see/hear depending on your floor.

“Concierge staff was incredibly friendly, room was modern and clean, easy check in and out. Would stay there again, easy drive to downtown Jacksonville and St. Augustine.”

• Can't think of a thing!

“This is a beautifully appointed hotel and we got to stay one night for a steal on our way back from Florida! The rooms was large and luxurious and breakfast offerings included many healthy selections. We would definitely bid/stay here again.”
