• Filthy, nothing worked right and paper thin walls.

“I have been going to US for twenty years and this is by far the worst place I ever stayed in. We had to change rooms three times and in the end we checked out of the hotel. The first room had a filthy carpet and smelt dreadful. The second room had no water pressure at all, the water was cold for three days and we couldn't shower or bath. The phone did not work and the lock on front door did not work. The third room was supposed to be an upgrade. The air conditioner did not work, the guy came out to fix it and it still did not work. He came out again the next day and put it right. That night we got awoken by a crying child who had moved in next door. We had no sleep all night. The walls are paper thin and we had a door separating us from next door. It was the worst experience of our lives. I would not recommend this hotel to any one.”

• Location.

“The hotel itself was generally OK but it was having computer trouble and for three days we had to stop in the office to have someone open our door every time we went in and out also we arrived early and were tired from our trip and needed to sleep we were only a couple of hours early and yes they did accommodate us for of course the full rate. Personally I felt they could have offered us a discounted rate due to amount of time we were there for and the inconvenience of a total computer failure which lasted for three days this definitely effected my review of this stay negatively.”

• The location was close to anything we needed.
• They were hounding everyone about trying to attend a seminar for timeshare and it was annoying!

“The hotel was good, but they were trying to convince anyone that entered into attending a seminar for a timeshare at a new resort of theirs. I was there 4 days and was approached 3 times by 3 different desk employees. It was annoying and was as bad as a car salesman! People on business or vacation do not want to be pitched!”

• Outside entrance; I would have rather an interior hallway room.

• In our room, hot/cold switched on sink faucet.

“We needed somewhere for one - two nights before we checked into our timeshare. We were more than satisfied with BW Lakeside for our needs; an older hotel, but rooms had been remodeled. Very clean!”

• It is what I expected : Clean rooms, good location and courteous front desk.
• The guest service counter was finally a time share marketing desk.

“It is located very close to WDW. The front desk employees received us with a smile. Rooms were clean and the food was good. There is a Walgreen's next to the hotel and many restaurants. I would come again.”

• Location.
• The room was not clean, the toilet didn't work.

“This Best Western is ideal if you are traveling without a car. All of the restaurants, and tourist shops are in walking distance. However don't expect to have Disney style treatment. The staff is short, and they don't know anything.”

• The Size of the room.
• Was not able to find it on our GPS.

“My wife and I really liked the hotel overall. But when we went to find it on our GPS it was saying that it did not exist and gave location of same hotel at a different location. We liked that there was a later check out time which helped us have more time to get our stuff together for our flight home.”

• Small problem with air conditioner which was fixed immediately.

“It was close to places to eat, gift shops, and a Walgreen's. There was a very good complementary shuttle service that carried you to the parks. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

• The location was great, and we really appreciated the shuttles.
• Do not attend the Mystic Resort timeshare presentation. Too much pressure.

“The location of this hotel is amazing. The pools were nice and the rooms were plenty spacious. We would highly recommend this hotel for travelers looking for a convenient location to Disney world.”

• Left my computer in room and stolen. Hotel not responsible.

“Pleasant stay but I left my computer in room and it was stolen, they claimed that the hotel is not responsible. The staff was not helpful and is frustrating because I am sure they know who entered my room after I left and they don't want to be responsible about this.”

“Very well kept, only problem was the noise level, it was rather extreme actually and I have stayed at hotels with lots and lots of kids. Could hear every car door that was a bit insane. Otherwise a great hotel for a first night before transferring into a Disney on property hotel.”

• The pools were amazing and great for adults and children. The staff is very friendly and will do all they can to help you.
• The shuttles to the Disney parks did not run on a very convenient schedule. We went to the park in a taxi to get the most out of our day.

“This hotel was great for kids and adults. The pools were never cluttered with children and the staff was very helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the schedule for the shuttles to the parks, and they will not tell you the times over the phone. We left the hotel at 8:30 am for Magic Kingdom and had to take a taxi because their shuttle only went there at 9:50 am. Then we had to take a taxi back on another day because we wanted to leave at 4:30 pm. However if you are not going to the parks or are willing to commit a complete day to them, this hotel was wonderful. Also this hotel is very close to many of other attractions. There is a Walgreens and Wendy's in walking distance near the main entrance of the hotel.”

• It was not what I expected.

“The man at the check in was rude. There was NEVER hot water and absolutely no water pressure just a trickle. There were bugs in the bathroom and the complimentary bus to the parks had horrible times and was not free. There was a complimentary service charge for each day you stayed in the hotel.”

• The water faucet in tub was hard to operate/broke.

“I would highly recommend this hotel. There were 4 females in our party, two adults and two very young children. We never felt our safety was compromised. The Walgreen's next door was very convenient. The front office staff walked me through the directions from the airport to the hotel, stayed on the line the entire trip, the man who checked us in was very friendly. The next morning at breakfast buffet the waiter named John, went out of his way to find a pair of scissors to cut my granddaughter's straw in her milk! The ladies at the front desk Gloria and her manager helped me purchase the tickets for Disney World. It was well worth every cent. Very clean. Staff is excellent. I cannot say enough how wonderful our stay was there. My husband and I will be going back! PS. There is rental cars available at the hotel.”

• It was close to better priced outside restaurants and gift shops.
• Should of had better transportation schedules.

“This hotel has to put a life guard on duty, because I felt unsafe swimming in the pool; they were diving, cannon balling and other matters around the pool area that made it very unsafe for others to swim safely in the pool.”

• Parking lot is slightly confusing, not well marked.

“This hotel is really close to the Disney main gate, but it's on the west side, which has a lot less traffic than the east side. Their staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, as were the hotel grounds. Very family friendly, with free extras like miniature golf. Nice pool area, too. Not a fancy hotel, but very clean, fun, friendly and convenient.”

“This hotel was perfect for those who wanted to save money for Disney yet be close to Disney. The buffet breakfast was free for kids under 12 and well worth the $7.99. I would definitely stay there again. My parents came with us and my dad wants 'that site' now that I told him the price and the trick.”

• They charged a 'fee" for shuttle service even if not used.

“Hotel was conveniently located and accessible to Universal Studios and Walt Disney World. I did not use their transfer facilities but was charged fees for the service. They did not have discount tickets as advertised to the local Resort Parks unless you did a tour.”

• Ordering from pizza hut in hotel slow/cold! Fixed right away!

“From the moment we checked in I knew we would have a great experience! The counter staff was extremely friendly! The hotel provided shuttle service to the parks and was very accommodating to our needs. All but for the mix-up in the take out restaurant, I would give this establishment and four star recommendation! Way to go best western!”

• The concierge sees below.

“I asked the concierge for the telephone number of a taxi. He would only provide me with the card of the shuttle company that works with the hotel, hence a commission. I was told that taxi's don't come this far out. Funny, what do people do that are coming from the airport? I asked. He just smirked. After I got into the room, I found the number for yellow cab. The rate was cheaper of course and I just feel that the concierge should be there to help not monopolize the transportation issues. This occurred on Monday, around 7:30 p.m. I do not have the name of the concierge.”

• Bad toilet, rude staff, check in delayed.

“I arrived on time to check in, but was told my room wasn't ready yet. Toilet wouldn't flush and when we called the front desk they sent out a repair man who not only was rude, but he didnt fix the toilet. Hotel personnel were very pushy trying to get us to go to a time share meeting the next day. It was a very bad experience!”

• The room was clean and the staff was nice.
• The outside of the buildings looked somewhat old. Needed to be painted and updated.

“This hotel met my expectations and went a little above them for a best western. It had a few different restaurants, several pools, a couple of playgrounds and a miniature golf course (putt putt). The room was clean and what I expected for a best western. I would recommend it to others and to my family. We would stay there again.”

• Clean room, comfortable beds, large complex so you can be in quiet area if desired. Refrigerator in room. Great location.
• $3 extra charge per day for "extras" but still a great deal.

“I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Great location to Disney parks. Lots of shopping and restaurants. Good breakfast buffet- kids ate free. Clean rooms and grounds. Nice pools. Friendly, helpful staff. I would recommend to others.”

• The grounds were spotless and the pools were exceptionally clean.
• Rooms were a bit small and the bed was not as firm as I would have liked it.

“My family goes to Orlando at least once or twice a year, and I will stay at this hotel again. The coffee in the room left a lot to be desired, but that seems to be the way it is everywhere I have stayed recently. There was so much to do at the hotel alone that we did not use everything that they offered. It was clean and they left towels out by the pool for our use which was excellent. The front desk staff was exceptionally courteous even though my three night stay was actually three separate reservations. We will stay here again.”

“Very good hotel, very good location. Complementary coffee and transportation to theme parks was a great value to us. A little distant from outlet shop and downtown Orlando, but with a lot of restaurants nearby.”

• Resort fee. Should have been in with the price.

“A short hop to Disney. Many amenities but would have liked a free continental breakfast like many of the other hotels. Pick up bus leaves Disney a few hours before closing so was not able to take advantage of the service. Staff very friendly and explained hotel charges clearly. High speed internet worked fine. Other hotels I have stayed at have listed free high speed internet but it didn't work. Maid service was great and the room was clean and tidy.”

• Mold and peeling paint in the bathroom.

“The hotel was nice in appearance and the food was very good. What it lacked was soda in the soda machines (we walked over to Walgreens next door for drinks); the maid replaced the used bath towels but not the hand towels or wash clothes. She also did not tuck in the sheets to the bed leaving them hanging over the side. She straightened them up but did not tuck. She also didn't replace the used soaps and coffee. I don't know how much of not replacing the used items were out of her control but either way it reflected badly on the hotel. When we called to find out if we could get room service for coffee in the morning, we were informed they didn't do that, only pizza.”

• Great location, rooms were nice and clean.
• Their laundry facilities are not as nice as expected and they issue tokens for the machines and then won't refund them.

“All in all, the hotel was extremely comfortable, very easy to access, convenient to Disneyworld and food establishments, and was well worth the stay.”

• The mattress and pillows need replaced.

“We only stayed one night at the hotel; we checked in at midnight and left in the morning to check into our Disney hotel. But the room was clean and the front desk clerk was friendly. I didnt like the $3.50 "resort" fee they add on, even though we didnt use any of the facilities.”
