• bed was comfortable.
• Restaurant was only available for breakfast.

“First room had a non-working phone, front desk did move me to another room. Second room had picture hooks on wall but no picture. Room just seemed tired and somewhat neglected.”

“This is a nice hotel to bring your family, group (church, team etc.) to. It's nice and clean inside and out. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is my second stay and I love it! Thank you for hooking me up!”

• Well decorated, clean, spacious room.
• Breakfast if purchased was expensive.

“This hotel has a nice pool and a few pieces of modern workout equipment (treadmills and elliptical). They have coffee available as well as an cash bar down in the lobby where you can mix your own drinks. The place has a nice ambiance, and was great for a weekend get away. Hotel staff was very friendly.”

• Only few restaurants/attractions directly surrounding hotel.

“The Courtyard by Marriott was, in general, a clean comfortable establishment located close to major highways. The staff was friendly and helpful. The free wireless and balconies were a bonus. The restricted hours for pool/whirlpool were better than some hotels but still somewhat inconvenient. Also, the hotel had only a few restaurants and attractions directly surrounding it, but this was offset by its proximity to the highway. Overall, this hotel is a good choice for a pleasant, inexpensive stay.”

• Location and bed was very comfortable-courteous staff.
• The furniture in room was scratched and needed to be replaced and one of the sheets had holes.

• It was clean, beautiful and relaxing.
• We were close to the elevators and some of the customers were very noisy!

“The hotel was relaxing. I was glad for the special rate so that we could stay longer. The room was well decorated. I enjoyed the desk and sitting area. The balcony was nice also.”

• Not smoker friendly too extreme.

“Their policy should be that if you are a smoker, do not stay here. I am a moderate smoker. I do not smoke in hotel rooms and did not smoke in this one. I smoked outside. However, since I left an empty pack of cigarettes in the hotel room, the mgmt charged my Visa. I will never stay in a Marriott again.”

• Conveniently located. Easy access to Downtown Jacksonville as well as points south.
• No attractions/shopping with 5 miles of hotel.

• Was surprised to find there was no breakfast included.

“The hotel was conveniently located, easy to find, had a couple of restaurants (cracker barrel and Applebys) in walking distance; the room was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom clean with a sink in the dressing area. I was surprised to learn that breakfast was not included, as it normally is in most hotels of this type.”

• It was close to everything I needed. The doctor that my sister was visiting and the mall that I wanted to go to, and next door to Cracker Barrel.
• I think this was a pleasant stay.

“The Courtyard by Marriott Butler Boulevard hotel was what you'd expect from a slightly better than average hotel. The room and rest of the hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was generally good- not directly in the city but close enough to the beaches and the rest of what Jacksonville has to offer. The pool and whirlpool were adequate. Unfortunately, there were some negative qualities of the hotel that deserve some mention. The pool area was not prepped with towels. The room felt slightly cramped with all of the furniture. Although the hotel offered breakfast, it was only offered at a price. The telephones in the room were inoperative. The room's bathroom was certainly adequate but could have used a fan. Overall, the hotel matches its star rating (2.5).”

• The king room had a balcony and a sofa bed.
• There was no fridge & microwave; there was no 24 hr store.

“The staff was very nice and accommodating. The balcony was a nice touch. The furniture is dated though and needs to be upgraded. I do not like that the sink is not in the bathroom in the room. Thus, there is less privacy when you share the room. I hated that there was not a microwave and refrigerator. Also, I took my DVD player but could not set it up to the TV. It was OK but I think that I could have done better. Breakfast was not included in my rate.”

“The non-smoking hotel policy is excellent. My 7 year old even noticed how nice the hotel smelled. No smoky or bad smells, just nice and clean air! Staff were extremely friendly and courteous! Always greeted my daughter and I when coming into hotel, very responsive to room service, and always had a smile on their face! This was the best overall experience that I have had at any hotel, would recommend it to anyone, especially for business travelers staying in Jacksonville area.”
