• Friendly, helpful, clean, variety of sport facilities.
• Too far out, dull dated decor.

“Have just returned from Summer Bay and was so pleased to find the apartment clean and no cockroaches. Apartment was absolutely fine although decor is rather dark and a bit old-fashioned. A few early problems that were not resolved i.e. curtain rail falling down (but we managed to get it back up), and no kettle which was really annoying. Resort was well run, reception was incredibly helpful. Swimming pools were warm, whole place is not crowded and bar staff was friendly.”

• The whole setting from when you drive in is beautiful.
• There is nothing I can say negative about this resort.

“I would recommend this resort to everyone. It was so beautiful from landscaping to the rooms. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I do mini vacations every year at different resorts. I will only be going to Summer Bay from now on. So many things to do there, you don't need to visit any of the theme parks. I traveled with my husband, my 3 teenagers and my mother. All different age groups and there was something for all of us to do.”

• The room, the amenities for kids, & security.
• No free internet access like other hotels.

“Great overall. We had a clean, spacious room with good bells & whistles [Jacuzzi, small patio, washer/dryer, full kitchen, etc.]. The kids had a great time at the Water Playground until it closed at 5 pm each day. The resort has an awesome feature of a 24 hr. pool at the clubhouse with tiki-bar. The local pools, spread around the resort semi-evenly, stayed open until a decent 10 pm. I loved this placed. We came back here from our vacation here about 3 years ago. Same great experience then with a 1 bedroom [minus the Jacuzzi as now with upgrade to 2 bedrooms with the kids along.”

• Facilities are very bad.

“I found this one of the worse timeshares that we've stayed in. Needs to be up graded. No elevators in two floor units. Cockroaches found twice in unit and noise from children jumping every evening was not what we were looking for. The kitchen was so small you couldn't fix breakfast without juggling you food. No counter space, no dishwasher, and no bathtub. Just a hugh shower that needs replaced. Bed was so hard that it hurt your body and pancakes for pillows. We were there in season I realize, but trying to find a chaise or a table around the over crowded pool does not make for a great vacation. I would never do it again. If they want to sell time shares, they need to use the money that we spend on them to keep them up instead of trying to sell you new ones.”

“If the staff members knocking on our door 2 times starting 1.5 hours prior to check out to see if we were leaving that day was not enough to make me unhappy with the resort then finding a roach on our kitchen table was.”

• Very clean rooms, huge houses, outstanding location, best service.
• They should put a good restaurant onsite.

“This is the best vacation ever! The staff was top notch, they had very, very comfortable beds and it was the cleanest condo/house I have ever stayed in! They also had so many amenities that we did not want to leave this resort. The indoor pool and spa were sparkling clean and maid service came in every day to make the beds, clean the dishes, clean the laundry and drain the indoor pool and spa so bacteria does not spread in it. Free towel exchange only for the houses and summer bay resort.”

• Everyone seemed so happy to be there. Everything was clean and orderly and the people at information were very helpful.
• It took forever to get someone to get us a change of sheets.

“It was amazing. I had such a fun vacation. I went with 6 of my girlfriends and we had such a great time. Before leaving we were planning another trip only this time we would bring our boyfriends/fiancés/husbands with us. Romantic, family or just to have a great time with friends, the resort rocks!”

• Grounds are well manicured.
• Plumbing and elevators are the pits and interior of the condo was in need of upgrade.

“We travel frequently and own at a resort about 4 miles from there which is the tops. Summer Bay Resort, Claremont, Florida has the outward appearance of a nice resort, but Building 107 where we stayed needs much physical work to come up to the standard one should expect at a vacation resort. The elevator was out of service for two days, but was eventually repaired. The carpet should have been replaced 5 years ago. Appliances were very nice. Layout of the 2 bedroom condo was nice but bathrooms extremely small. Furniture was beginning to show that its useful life was gone. The swimming pool was very small. Tennis court area was limited. It had small Clubhouse. I will not stay there again. I would classify Summer Bay Resort at Clermont, Florida a classy Super 8. If you don't expect much from the beach then you will not be disappointed.”

• Beautiful rooms.
• Sprinklers sometimes came on which prevented sitting on patio.

“I just completed a one week stay and it is by far one of the best resorts I have stayed at. The single bedrooms included a full kitchen, TVs in the living room and bedroom and they were very clean when we checked in. The Jacuzzi tub was almost as big as a small swimming pool! I am 6'4" and I could stretch out and relax after a day of walking in the magic kingdom. I glanced in a two bedroom and it had a big screen TV and a bar. The activities available were outstanding. A beach and a pool with poolside bar. Rental jet skis, pontoons, motor boats, fishing equipment, etc. Would highly recommend!”

• The rooms were very big, plenty of room for 4 people.
• Closer proximity to dinner restaurants would have been nice.

“The condos were great - nice and spacious, very clean. Lots of daily activities for kids were available at the main clubhouse. Listening to the karaoke in the evening was very entertaining.”
