• Embassy Suites are always excellent. Loved the atriums, and the complimentary cooked to order breakfast.
• Ice bucket had water in it and there were used washcloths over the shower curtain rod, otherwise everything else seemed very clean.

• Suite room was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Hotel was attractive and clean. Great breakfast!
• No restaurants nearby. Service staff was very slow to respond.

“Beautiful 3* property. Suite room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast with made to order eggs/omelets is huge step above other hotel free breakfasts! Indoor pool is small but adequate. Lobby, atrium area is beautiful--glass elevators are a nice touch. Only drawback is no nearby restaurant options. Hotel is very convenient to highway, yet quiet.”

“I checked in pretty late and the GSR out me on a floor with no air conditioning. The room smelled bad. It was a handicapped room that made me feel uncomfortable. The phone was not working, so much for a wake up call! I did tell the front desk worker, but she didn't seem to really care for my concerns.”

• Loved the generous sized suites. Was very clean.
• The upper level rooms required a deck like walk high above the lounge below. The height was actually frightening and the walk to our room was the max.

“If I stayed here again, I would request a room on a lower level. We loved the room, once we got there. At the entrance door of each room, the guest can look over from the balcony styled walk directly down on the lovely lounge with water falls and fireplace. The railing along the edge of the overlooking walk is not high and would be unsuitable for young children who climb. The elevator is very fast and goes to at least 20 floors. The hotel is lovely and we got wonderful service. The beds were great, even for picky me who needs a firm bed with a soft top. The free breakfast buffet with items made to order was in a lovely dining room and not in a lobby as is often the case. I would go again in a minute--a great getaway for adults.”

• Very convenient to all of the Cleveland-area's major highways, friendly staff.
• With a big ballroom event and a bus of kids, very noisy one evening.

“My fiancee and I were visiting family in Cleveland and the Embassy Suites really suited our needs-- close to all of the area's major highways/freeways, a nice breakfast, and a suite with a door separating the bedroom when one of us had to be on the phone with a family member to make plans. Since it's a popular place to stay though, we encountered a pretty noisy evening Saturday as a big event with an auction announcer went on in the ballroom and a kids' hockey team checked in. Still, with the amenities, location, and staff, we'd probably consider staying again. And, there's a manager's reception each night that gives you two alcoholic drink tickets. That helped ease the noise!”

• Having a suite was very convenient. The complementary drinks before dinner and the full complementary breakfast buffet were terrific value.
• The bathroom could have used an update.

• The gift shop was poorly stocked and located. A few travel items I needed were not there.

• Noise level through door was very high. Very difficult to locate this hotel.

• The morning staff at breakfast was very helpful.
• The breakfast has lost it's quality. Embassy was known for its wonderful breakfast.

“The hotel itself was satisfactory. The problem we had with our stay is we specifically requested the Beachwood/university heights area in Ohio because it was a convenient location to our family who resides there. After a long day of traveling, we went to "Beachwood embassy suites" just to be told that we had to travel another 20 min at night to another location. This made it very difficult to coordinate travel with the rest of our family for a wedding we had to attend the next day. We were very unhappy and are not sure we will be using your services again.”

• Nice atrium, to bad that they don't want you to use it.
• Staff very rude treated us like we were criminals.

“The staff was very rude. We were asked to leave the atrium area, but in order to do this the staff felt like they had to surround us with a police officer, a want to be security person, and 2 hotel employees. They do not know how to handle a big crowd, so if that is what you are going to have then I recommend that you do not use this hotel.”

• I liked the friendly staff and the self-checkout process. The receipt was left under my door the morning I checked out and I was able to leave the key.
• I thought there should have been more of a variety of foods to eat at the breakfast buffet. It was the same menu for both days.

“The Embassy Suites Hotel is a beautiful place to stay. I enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and the hospitality was wonderful. I would recommend this hotel to others and I look forward to staying there again. The only drawback was that I really needed to be closer to Solon, Ohio and would have preferred to stay at the Beachwood Embassy Suites but it wasn't offered to me as a selection. Overall, it was a fabulous place to stay. I loved the interior decor of the lobby and rooms.”

• The beds and pillows are like sleeping on a cloud in heaven.
• I cannot say anything bad about this hotel.

“Loved everything about this hotel. Staff was extremely friendly. Complimentary breakfast was the best we have ever had. You simply must get up early for breakfast. The food never stops coming. And, it is really tasty. Stayed at the hotel for a family reunion. We had a bus load of people. We were amazed at how quickly they processed our rooms during check-in. Beds were wonderful. Two televisions in every suite. If you travel with children, you will appreciate that fact. Don't forget their fabulous swimming pool and pool table located in the lobby. The hotel even has a restaurant -- The Embassy Grille. We are still talking about their fabulous gumbo. The lobby is extremely comfortable and we all just sat around talking. You can't go wrong staying at this fabulous hotel.”

• Absolutely without a doubt the most comfortable bed ever!
• Oh my, that breakfast buffet was just not that good. Not much variety, somewhat flavorless.

“Highly recommended if you're not too hungry at night or in the morning! Read on location: very close to highway exit; however, Independence has not much going on after about 11 p.m., so make sure you eat before too late, because you won't be able to find a late-night drive-thru anyplace around there - no open grocery store, either. Hotel itself: plenty of parking, very cordial and friendly staff, beautiful public spaces, very comfortable room. The best bed ever! Almost missed breakfast because we didn't want to get out of bed! The only negative was the breakfast. Don't know if the hotel just had too many guests that particular Sunday morning, but there were people everywhere, there was no "flow" to the buffet lines and everybody was running into everybody else, there was spilled food all over the place, and there were hardly any items to choose from! What they did have was not so good: "old-tasting" scrambled eggs with no flavor, somewhat greasy link sausage, some toaster-style French toast and some bagels, cantaloupe, juice, hot chocolate, and coffee. There might have been some cereal, but who wants that for breakfast at a hotel? Granted, it was extremely crowded, and the staff probably just couldn't keep up with the demand, but maybe a less ambitious spread would be a little bit more satisfying for the guests instead. We couldn't get anywhere near the cooked-to-order omelet station, so forget that. But it might have been nice to just be able to substitute a muffin, yogurt, and fresh fruit (a la Best Western) for that missed omelet. Overall, though, a great value and a pleasant stay.”

• The breakfast was awesome. The complimentary cocktails were very nice. The lobby was awesome.
• We had a tray (not ours) sitting outside our room on the floor for 2 days.

“Very pleasant stay. I would return in a heartbeat. The breakfast was awesome. The complementary cocktails nightly were appreciated. The room was very nice-the decor needed to be updated though. It was very nice to have a refrigerator. The picketing group outside the hotel with megaphones was annoying. I'm not sure what their cause was.”

• I loved the lobby and the guest services.
• Unfortunately the hotel had a special event for that weekend so it was busy & noisy. I had difficulty getting enough rest, getting to my room & parking.

• The $5.00 bottle of water should not be even placed in the room if it is that expensive.

• Chef making omelets in am was very friendly. He brightened our morning.
• We were in town for a family Memorial of my Grandparents. An event there had kids running around yelling until late in the evening.

“I would definitely recommend the hotel. It was clean and the staff was excellent. There were many amenities such as a warmed indoor pool, pool tables, breakfast (included with the price) and a happy hour. Additionally, the hotel is near I-77, I-480, I-80 and downtown.”

• Free breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty.
• Staff is rude and inept, we were publicly humiliated and also given wrong room number.

“Pros: Big rooms, well-appointed, clean. Fitness center was small but clean and had a plasma TV.

Cons: A bit noisy, and the manager's reception area should have been more clearly indicated, we were shoo'd away from the remains of a reception for a private function and publicly humiliated by a very snotty hotel staff member, when in fact we thought were partaking of the "free" Manager's reception which was nearby but not marked. We were also given the wrong room number on check-in and had to return to the front desk (with our luggage) to find the number of the room that matched our key.”
