• Clean and nice bathrooms, friendly staff and GREAT breakfast, much more than the typical continental you would expect.
• The pool heat broke and was closed. I had picked this hotel for the indoor pool in winter and the kids were very disappointed.

“It's a nice enough hotel and met my expectations. It was dimly lit, from the room to the restaurant to the garage - and everything in between. The valet was not helpful, and self-parking was very difficult. The bathroom is pretty small, but the rooms are a nice size. The beds were decent, and decor was beautiful.”

• The staff was unfriendly, misinformed, not customer oriented.

“Hotel location was great, but the staff was unfriendly and not very capable, my room was cleaned late in the day and I had to change rooms when I extended my stay because after asking three times to have my room cleaned they still did not clean it. I did not use the $14.00 per day self parking ticket and when I went to the front desk to remove the charge off my room the staff became confrontational and refused to remove the charges.”

“The omni hotel in Jacksonville Florida is in a great area near the landing and in the heart of the city. The facilities are nice although a little dated feeling and the staff is very friendly. The main thing that I did not like and it will keep me from staying there again is the fact that you have to pay $6.95 for fifteen minutes to access the internet in their business area. I think that is a little cheesy and due to how they advertise their business center on their website it is also deceiving. Oh yeah and their business center is way too small and by that I mean Closter phobic size small. We had an appetizer at the j lounge in the hotel and the food was just not that good and in addition the atmosphere was awkward. We also ordered room service for just a basic club sandwich and to my surprise they messed that up as well. Overall I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for the price.”

• It was a little difficult to get to in Downtown Jacksonville.

“This is a 4 star property, deluxe all the way. No breakfast is offered, and parking fees are additional, but I would expect to pay twice the cost for this hotel. Asked for a king bed at 10:30 p.m. On a Saturday night and got it with no hassle!”

• The attitude of staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
• The bathroom needs renovation and we switched rooms because of bathroom cleanliness.

“Great location. Room cleanliness needs work. Need to focus on the "little" details like making sure that two bathrobes are in the room, etc. Amenities tray was fantastic. Pool was very disappointing.”

• The shower needed to be updated and poor water pressure.

“The Omni Jacksonville is in a great location; within walking distance to the Moran theater, the landing, and a walking path along the water. The room was a nice size with a desk, lounge chair, and king size bed. Bottom line, the hotel exceeded my expectations in location and matched the star level (rating).”

• The floor that I stayed on was very quiet.
• I was waked up by the smell of cigarette smoke. I was on a non-smoking floor.

“The staff is super friendly and I had absolutely no complaints about the facilities. The room and clean, and the bed and very comfortable. The only thing I did not like was the $14/day parking rate. However, the rooms are reasonably priced so it's hard to complain. Two thumbs up from a frequent traveler.”

• Accommodations were very comfortable and the staff was exceptionally helpful.

“I thought this was an excellent stay. It was centrally located so I could walk to attractions and restaurants. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The room was beyond what I expected and my over all experience would certainly make me want to stay again.”

• The hotel was very "posh" in decor and service.
• Slightly out-dated.

“This hotel, though slightly outdated, was very fancy with robes, slippers, and even a TV in our bathroom (not exactly what we were expecting for a 3 star and I am not sure every room has those amenities). The view from our 16th floor room was breathtaking. The staff was polite and considering the overall unsafe feeling of Jacksonville as a whole- it felt moderately safe in its downtown location. Parking was roughly 15 dollars per night.”

“Everything was wonderful except the dining. We arrived late and the food was inedible. Got pasta with lobster and the flavor was terrible, the lobster mushy and very nasty. Grilled salmon was extremely dry, the mashed potatoes very hard. Recommend to stay at the hotel but eat somewhere else.”

• This hotel is centrally located in downtown Jacksonville and is near great food and shopping.
• The staff was not very responsive.

“Great price, great hotel, but the staff was very unresponsive. My family and I stayed there for four nights. The 1st night we noticed that it was warmer in our room than it was in the hallway. We reported the issue to the front desk the next morning and they promised to send a technician to our room. We waited four hours before calling again. Finally someone came and replaced the clogged up filter and promised us that the room should cool off in the next few hours. He stated that he would return in an hour to see if the room was cooler. After failing to show up, we called the front desk again and they assured us that they would send someone to look into it. The next day a different guy came to the room and used an electrical device that displayed the room temperature which popped up at a sizzling 78 degrees. This is no my definition of cool. I asked him if all of the rooms were this warm and he replied 'yes'. I asked to accompany to another room to see for myself and he said that he would check with the front desk and see what was available. He never returned nor did he call us back. The customer service at this hotel was awful. The front desk never offered to change our room nor did they seem remorseful because of our experiences. In the end, we spent four nights in a 4 star hotel with 1 star service. I almost forgot, they did try to help'. They gave us a loud iron fan from the housekeeping to help cool the room. My advices' wait until winter time and hope that the heating unit is working.”

• The rooms are very nice. The decorations and bedding are very upscale.
• The bed was not very cozy and the shower was not as updated as I would like.

“It was a great hotel in a good location downtown. There are no great restaurants within walking distance, but there are really great places a short 10 minutes drive away.”

• The response that I received in regard to my concerns.

“Upon check in, I was not told that I was being placed in a smoking room, which smelled awful. The shower in our hotel room was leaking when we walked into our room and it leaked the entire time during our stay. Our in-room movie service did not work. We called the front desk to ask what the problem was with this room feature and were told that the feature does not work in all rooms. At no time during this conversation with the front desk were we offered another room. The entire night we listened to drunken adults run up and down the hallway outside our room and slam doors at 1:00 and 2:00 am. We booked this hotel as a nice overnight getaway and there was nothing romantic or nice about our stay or the service we received. We just picked the wrong hotel.”

“The hotel was wonderful. We stayed for one night just to see the fireworks. After a long drive from the Miami area we got to our hotel room and were blown away. You could even see the St. Johns river from our room. We did not get to use the Pool but could see it from our room and that looked nice as well. The location is the best as it is in downtown close to the stadium, Landing, Ferry Boats, and shops.”

“This hotel has a beautiful lobby and very lovely rooms. It was also very clean. The staff were very eager to help with anything we needed. There were only two downsides. 1) You have to pay for parking. 2) The restaurants that were located across the street looked nasty. You couldn't pay me to eat there. Over all the stay was very nice.”

• Outdated rooms with bad lighting, dirty bathroom.

“My wife and I were anticipating a nice, upscale experience at the omni Jacksonville, but we were disappointed with our stay. We received poor service on the telephone when we called for directions. Two of the operators that we spoke with used unintelligible English. When the valet attendant finally spoke to us, he gave us very bad directions that had us driving around downtown for 20 minutes. Our room had a very nice bed and a decent view, but the television, bathroom, and lighting were outdated and in poor condition. The bathroom fixtures and countertops were covered in dust, and the shower grout and appliances were filthy.”

• Beautiful hotel with very safe environment. When we arrived we found cookies and milk in our room. This was a pleasant surprise for the children!
• Hotel employees were not friendly or accommodating on arrival. Our checkout was pleasant.

“Nice hotel and environment. We had a late arrival and did not get to experience and enjoy much of what the hotel had to offer. The hotel only had one gentleman available to help us at curbside on arrival. It was a challenge to unload our car and transport the entire luggage for 5 people to our rooms.”

• Location by the river walk was nice, room and beds were comfortable.
• Elevators were slow and packed, pool was supposed to be heated, pubic hair on soap dish when we checked in room, no coffee pot in room.
