  • It was a very quiet hotel, which was much appreciated.
  • I was put in a smoking room, which didn't smell too great.

“Very nice, clean and attractive hotel, in a great location just outside of downtown Cleveland. Within walking distance of many popular locations. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If I ever have the need to be back in that area I would definitely consider staying there again.”

  • The 24hr pantry was great and reasonably priced.
  • Parking should not cost $16 a day in the off-season and Wi-Fi was not always reliable.

“Hotel was clean and facilities were very nice. The bed in the room was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly giving us a stadium-view room upon request. The 24hr pantry allows for purchases of food, drinks and snacks at any time and I was surprised to find the prices reasonable. The free Wi-Fi was good, but not always reliable. Parking per day is 16 dollars which makes sense during baseball season, but off-season it should be cheaper. We parked on the street for free (meters dont run on weekends) and in a lot across the street for 3 dollars a day.”

“Overall the hotel was nice. I requested a wake up call for 10:30 am and I didn't receive my call until 10:38 am. Due to the late wake-up call I missed a telephone interview, due to my wake up call was late.”

  • Thin walls. I could hear other people which I usually don't hear in other hotel.

“Good hotel for the price. Only catch is that parking isn't included and one of my beds was itchy (had to switch to the other one). Overall good stuff for Cleveland.”

  • Staff was very helpful in providing directions and a particular phone number. Waitress was excellent!
  • The eggs at breakfast were rubbery and the so were the hash browns.

  • Big room with free WIFI.
  • Bed was a little uncomfortable.

“It's located across the street from the stadium in which the Cleveland Indians play, so it's very convenient for that. The rooms are large and fairly attractive and WIFI is free, which I always appreciate. The room also included a microwave and refrigerator, which is nice. It was altogether a pretty pleasant hotel.”

  • Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Close to baseball and basketball stadiums.
  • Business room occupied too often by kids cruising the internet.

“Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Close to baseball and basketball stadiums (this effects street traffic and hotel occupancy during home games). Business room occupied too often by kids (unsupervised) cruising the internet. Most irritating, hotel is fairly far from public transportation routes (RTA train and bus routes), and hotel shuttle only serves limited area and has limited hours. Therefore I spent fair amount of cash on car service which are flat fee taxis which are often Lincoln continentals. Nice vehicles to cruise in, but wish for lower price alternative. If you have a car, parking is $16 per day - so still pay. Can take RTA train from airport to Tower City terminal and vice versa, which is only $1.75! But then need either hotel shuttle (if available) or taxi to connect to or from hotel.”

  • I liked the fact that it was right across the street from Progressive Field.
  • The bed! Said adjustable but didn't work & $16 additional for parking.

  • The fee for parking was quite steep I thought and was not aware of the fee ahead of time.

“My husband and I were really pleased with the hotel itself. I wish there could have been some type of discount on parking for those that were hotel guests. I realize it was close to the professional sports facilities but it wasn't a game night and we were not taking away from their business.”

“We usually stay at a higher star level. But, for a 3 star hotel, this was very nice. The location was great if you were going to a Cleveland Indians game. There are restaurants within walking distance. It is also very easy to get a cab. The parking was hassle-free and you received 24 hour in and out access.”

“The hotel was nice, but there were a few things that made our stay less than enjoyable. A car service was available to drive us to our event, but when we called after the event, no car service was available and we had to guess our way on foot back to the hotel through the dark and sketchy streets of Cleveland. Also, the parking situation is a bit inconvenient. We had to pay $16 to park in their lot, but then when we tried to get out of the lot after checking out, they demanded to see our hotel room key, which of course, having checked out, we didn't have. Thank goodness I hadn't thrown out the invoice they slide under your door. No, I just had to crawl in my backseat and unzip my suitcase and find it to show the parking attendant, who was rather rude. The facility was clean and nice, but the guest services were lacking.”

  • Very nice hotel. Very nice location.
  • $16 charge for parking. I stayed here one other time and wasn't charged for parking.

“The Hilton Garden is a beautiful hotel within walking distance of many Cleveland attractions. It was perfect for our getaway weekend. We walked to the Cavs game and to nearby restaurants. It is right across the street from Progressive Field, home of the Cleveland Indians.”

“Quasi convenient location just on the outskirts of Downtown. Would be very convenient for Indians or Cavaliers games. Plenty of overnight parking available for a reasonable price. “Nice hotel. The front desk was friendly and efficient. I dined in the restaurant, which was empty but for one other person. My entree was not thoroughly cooked, but the waitress was attentive and very nice (but then again, I was one of two people who were eating that night). The room was small but cozy, and the HVAC unit was noisy. So overall, a great value, excellent location, nice spot. Thanks!”

  • Excellent service even throughout a blizzard!
  • Lipstick on glass in room - empty beer cans under bed.

“The hotel staff went over and above to provide exceptional service even while Cleveland was in the middle of a blizzard! The hotel provided complimentary food to stranded guests and even when short staffed went out of their way to provide an enjoyable stay. The parking lot was constantly maintained and assistance provided to help with snowed in cars. The location is ideal. Our room had a couple of cleanliness issues (lipstick on glass and empty beer cans under the bed) but the overall stay was excellent.”

“This hotel has good standard accommodations. It is clean overall and has some 'extra' amenities that are really nice including microwaves and minifridges in each room and a swimming pool. The location is less than ideal, as it is on the outside parameters of the Downtown area next to a shady gas station. It is right next to the ballpark, though, so would probably be good if you were going to a game. The staff was accommodating with an early check in and late check out as well. Overall, this is a good basic hotel, but not a luxury choice.”

  • All of the services offered, including a 24-hour store, check-out by phone, free wireless internet and printing, spotless and friendly staff.
  • Had trouble with remote printing of a document from our room, kids were messing around in the computer lab, no one helped. Trouble with parking.

  • The staff made me feel like family. Very professional and friendly.
  • The $15.00 parking fee.

“I really liked this hotel and would give it a 9 out of 10 rating. Very clean and the staff was outstanding. Everyone was professional yet friendly and warm. The only downfall was the fact that there was a $15.00 a day parking fee and it was not a covered area. Due to the fact that a blizzard had just came through, I had to dig my way out. Not good. With all that I would still recommend this hotel to my friends.”

  • Lots of extra little charges.

“Pros: The hotel was nice. The hotel staff was very courteous and helpful answering all of my questions. They had a very nice restaurant (dining area) and then a bar in the hotel which was convenient. It was nice being able to get up in the morning and eat something better than a continental breakfast.”
