• Elevator lobby small and too narrow for crowds.

“Complimentary breakfast was very good. Fitness center and pool was excellent-especially hours for use. Internet/business room should have more computers unless hotel is wireless. No major complaints because we enjoyed our stay.”

• Location was excellent.
• The hot tub was not working and pool was cold.

“The hotel was very clean and in a great location. The hotel shuttle was a great way to get around town to check out local restaurants and the staff was extremely helpful. The only down side was the cold pool for my son and no working hot tub. Overall, it is a very nice place and would recommend to others.”

• Wonderful layout of rooms, all the conveniences needed. Excellent breakfast included and shuttle service anywhere in the city.
• The decorating was awful! The room was so comfortable though, I didn't care!

• Was given a smoking room that stank!

“Was initially given a smoking room. I called down to the front desk and they told me that was all they had. I went down to the registration desk and spoke with them. They told me that was all they had for rooms with two beds. I told them that I only needed one and they found me a room.”

• The space of the room was excellent.
• The heating/cooling system could not be controlled.

• We love the happy hour and complimentary breakfast.
• One of the elevators was operating, but stuck while I was in it!

“My favorite Cleveland hotel. Its comfortable and the rooms are so spacious and quiet. You cannot hear a thing in the rooms except your own noise. The courtyards are lovely as well. Thanks for the great deal!”

• I liked the two plasma TVs and the layout of the hotel.
• Air conditioning did not work & it was so hot. Also our toilet wouldn't flush properly.

“Even though the air conditioning wasn't working and the toilet wouldn't flush properly, overall we would continue to stay at embassy suites we liked the location and the renovations. You need to make accommodations when the ac isn't working they brought us a fan which did not cool us off at all & we got charged for parking!”

• Rooms are a good size.
• Sharing facilities with the next door apartment complex.

“Somewhat different than most embassy suites. Shares some facilities (including pool/parking) with an adjacent apartment complex. Lobby is small, but employees were prompt and friendly. Sports bar in the attached retain area was quite affordable. Overall, a good hotel for business persons.”

• In that I am a native Ohio (Clevelander), I have the opportunity to stay in many places. I like the location and climate of the embassy.
• Although, this does not happen much, housekeeping slipped up on cleaning my room one of my nights stay.

“As a certified travel agent, I would critique this embassy as one of my favorites. Personally speaking. I would recommend it for others. I look forward to staying here again. The furniture in the living area was a little dated.”

• Location and restaurant.
• Room was dirty, beds uncomfortable, check in slow.

“If my friends had not chosen to meet at this hotel, I would have stayed somewhere else. The location was perfect but not worth the money. Checking in was slow and the room was still dirty upon arrival. Most likely will not be back.”

• The location and the doormen were great.
• I was very disappointed in the fact that the shuttle & store were not in operation when posted.

“I would stay here again, however I was very disappointed I chose the hotel because I knew they had a shuttle and I ended up having to pay a taxi for my return. I am writing directly to Embassy Suites because the situation was poorly handled.”

• We like the view of the city.
• Carpet had stains and bath room floor looked dirty, everything else was good.

“This is a really nice place, friendly people, and good location. The shuttle service was wonderful to have. The breakfast was very tasty. I loved the view from the outdoor patio and I also like the pool and fitness rooms. I didn't think the floors in our room were very clean, but I think this is due to the hotel being so busy. I would still recommend this hotel to friend and will stay there again myself.”

• Beautiful spacious two-room suite with large bathroom and wet bar area; balcony provided great views.
• Under renovation; had to call maintenance every time we flushed the toilet (it failed every time!); housekeeping cleaned - failed to re-supply towels.

“Lovely rooms - this will probably be a beautiful hotel after renovation; restaurant quality was inconsistent but our server was honest; manager's reception required drinks to be served with ice - how cheap! There seems to be some management issues that need to be addressed so guests don't need to spend so much time addressing these issues themselves (housekeeping, maintenance, etc). Convenient shuttle service to a two-mile radius a plus!”

“Overall, a great hotel for family and business travel (if extended stay and want a kitchenette/living room). Close to nearby sites, hotel provides a shuttle bus to area sites on-demand and comes and picks you up as well. Provides information on what is available in the area.”

• Was twice as expensive as my other hotel stays that week (Columbus, Cincinnati, and Lexington) and was below Lexington in every aspect.

• Although the property is under going significant renovations, the experience was flawless!
• Nothing, would recommend to anyone.

• Breakfast disorganized.

“Non-smoking room smelled like smoke and they couldn't switch us to another room. Street construction out front was a minus. Good location in the city. A/C could not be adjusted in the rooms. Too cold. Rooms are nice and spacious. Everything was clean. Breakfast area with omelets bar and the works. Good food but the logistics of moving people around and preparing your omelets was very disorganized. They ran out of silverware, bowls, coffee, milk, etc.”

• Clean spacious rooms, excellent breakfast buffet, manager's reception. All a great value.
• A little noisy, but not a problem.

“We were looking for a hotel within walking distance of Jacobs Field and this one was very suitable. The room was a suite. It was very clean and nicely appointed with a flat screen TV in each room. In addition to a very nice room, this hotel offers an excellent breakfast featuring made-to-order omelets. An excellent value for the price we paid.”

• Bed was very comfortable. Suite was spacious. Breakfast was good.
• Evening staff were not very helpful or knowledgeable and sitting room furniture not very comfortable.

“The bed was very comfortable, the suite was spacious, and the complimentary breakfast was great (when not too crowded). Hotel has an awkward layout due to the nature and location of the building it is in. Pool and fitness center are both nice. Evening staff does not seem very helpful or knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again.”

• Very bad odor in the corridors. Unclean elevators.

“Embassy suite is a very nice option for leisure and business stay. The restaurant and bar is fantastic. Fitness room is open till late. The hotel is conveniently located in the centre of downtown with easy access to rail and bus links. The only bad experience was the bad odor prevailing in the corridors.”

“We traveled with our 20 month old son; we were given a corner room with a large and spacious sitting room, so we were very happy with the room. We were very disappointed that we had been told in advance that the hotel had no cribs, lugged our pack'n play along and were surprised when the bell hop offered to get a crib for us. Similar situation when we went to the complimentary breakfast, we were told the highchairs were all being used, but my husband walked around and discovered that not one highchair was being used and 3 highchairs and 2 booster seats were sitting near the door. Some of the staff is not knowledgeable or lazy. I get the impression that they discourage people with young children from coming to the hotel. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice and the front desk/bell hop staff was friendly and helpful.”

• Great, spacious room. 2 LCD TVs, free breakfast and cocktails.
• Lobby set up was very small and parking was more than the website stated.

“The location is great. We went to the House of Blues and walked back in under 15 minutes. Loved the free breakfast and manager's reception cocktails (well drinks and draft beer). We did not try the food but it looked good - fresh fruit and snack type. Carpet looked a little worn and the couch was not very comfortable in the living room area but LCD TVs were very nice and so was bathroom. Would stay again in a heartbeat.”

• The room was very nice. I liked the modern look. Very spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
• Do not order the perch sandwich at the restaurant.

“I was very impressed with this hotel. It was very convenient and in walking distance to everything. The hotel seemed super upscale. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and how the rooms were so spacious. Big plasma screens were in the bedroom and living room. The room was decorated in a very sharp modern way. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• Only had non-smoking rooms.

“The hotel was good. Only had smoking rooms when I arrived and it was very strong in odor. This made the entire stay turn from very good to very bad. This is a major deal when your eyes burn, head aches and become congested around cigarette smoke.”

• The rooms were incredible and the service was outstanding, a great place to stay.
• There is nothing I did not like.

“When we walk into the room we were amazed of the space and the cleanness of the rooms. I love the manger open bar and the breakfast in the morning was outstanding. It was like going to a restaurant and having your choice of whatever you like. I have never experience a bed that was that comfortable to sleep in, felt like home and it made it hard to wake up. The flat screen TV were awesome and the availability to have a refrigerator in the room works out great.”
