“Customer friendly staff. Great with kids, shuttle to Cleveland Clinic is very appreciated.” Nov 29, 2009 by
John from Rochester,NY
“Staff went out of their way to make our stay special (hot cookies at check-in, free area shuttle, always courteous and helpful). Hotel was clean.” Sep 17, 2009 by
Maribel from South Bend,IN
“Exterior of hotel is nothing fancy to look at but rooms are very nice, clean, and modern with flat screens. The beds are extremely comfortable and plush. The best thing however are the warm cookies provided at check-in (and at departure, if you ask).” Aug 4, 2009 by
Adam from Lebanon,CT
“On arrival it was very convenient to park in the attached garage of this downtown hotel. Parking can be paid for at hotel desk and includes in/out privileges. Garage only has one small elevator though. Lobby and room were very clean. Hallway on floor needed to be vacuumed. Hotel had 4 small elevators for 15 floors, one of which appeared not to be working. When departing in the morning it was impossible to get an elevator that wasn't full. Pool and hot tub were well kept and refreshing.” Jul 22, 2009 by
Adam from Ann Arbor,MI
“Overall, I like this hotel.” May 20, 2009 by
Kathleen from Grosse Pointe Woods,MI
“We were accommodated to the tree. Two warm chocolate chips cookies, clean room, lots of towels and a great breakfast buffet.” May 12, 2009 by
Nat from Brisbane,AP
“Staff helpful and made sure my room had a view of the water. Comfortable hotel. Good amenities. Fantastic shuttle service to/from other areas of town.” Apr 29, 2009 by
Glen from Troy,MI “I mistakenly forgot a couple of clothing items in my room. I have still not been able to get a call back from someone in housekeeping or management regarding these items. I'm very disappointed as one of the items has a special meaning from a previous vacation.” Apr 1, 2009 by
Linda from Mason,MI
“Beautiful rooms, clean and cheery. Would love to stay there again. Friendly staff.” Jan 28, 2009 by
Chris from Amherst,OH
“The indoor pool is very nice, the decor is tasteful. I was really surprised by the room. Flat screen, nice plush beds. The garage is well-secured and the hotel is located right downtown, walking distance from the local nightlife. Take in a Cavs game easily. I would recommend it definitely” Oct 23, 2008 by
Martin
“Since the lobby was under construction, the main entrance was not in use but one didn't learn this until after parking nearby and carrying your luggage there. Once inside, one found that the public spaces and elevators were either under construction or in need of thorough cleaning.” Oct 8, 2008 by
Chad
“In was about 6-9 months this hotel will be a very nice place to travel to. The room was excellent because it had already been finished. We had a view of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the lake. The bar was also very nice! The only thing holding this hotel back was the construction on the restaurant, little dusty!” Sep 24, 2008 by
Betty
“A small map of Downtown Cleveland including street construction and one way streets would be helpful for out of towners.” Sep 21, 2008 by
Shelly
“If travelling alone or with spouse this may be suitable. Close to downtown attractions. Overall, hotel was not suitable for small children or families. Common areas were very dreary and dirty.” Sep 11, 2008 by
Paul from Rochester, NY
“The hotel was basically clean and in a convenient location. The shuttle was a plus. The hotel staff was friendly.” Sep 8, 2008 by
John T. from Granville, OH
“Great location for me, windows were filthy and room was small.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Erik from Columbus, OH
“I stayed overnight on business with the intention of sleeping in the following morning. I was awakened by construction activity at 7:00am. I called the front desk about it and the staff offered me a free breakfast for my trouble. I reluctantly agreed, thinking I could read the paper in lieu of sleep. There was a huge commotion in the room next to the restaurant. Construction workers were yelling to people across the room and no staff member was willing to ask them to be more respectful of people eating breakfast. In fact the manager was not there and joked later with the staff that she was not there on purpose because it was too loud. The restaurant was also very dirty, with two of the three stacks of dinner plates on the buffet had some pieces of someone else's breakfast on them. The tables were greasy, the eggs were watery, the buffet tables were not set up properly, the coffee was cold. Again at checkout, with about six people in front of me checking out, a crew of construction workers walked through the lobby and did not excuse themselves but merely pushed passed the guests, and one crew member actually put a coffee he was holding down on the front desk and went about his delivery and picked it back up on the way out ten minutes later (I was still in line). I was very disappointed with my stay here.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Darryl from Orem, UT
“It was recently renovated, and everything is new. The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Science Museum and the Browns Stadium. The only downsides to my stay - you have to pay $14 each day for parking, and the renovation continues, so the business center is temporarily located in the 2nd floor lobby. Overall, I was very pleased.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Lindsay from Urbana, OH
“This hotel and room was the kick-off to a perfect getaway! Perfect location, safe parking garage, free shuttle to many places, friendly staff, gorgeous room with really nice furnishings and awesome bedding, fair price, fun atmosphere at lounge. Absolutely loved it!” Aug 31, 2008 by
Patricia from Hornell, NY
“The remodeled rooms in this hotel are wonderful. Great location, excellent service.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Jess from Rochester, NY
“Staff was friendly, parking was very expensive, the room was very small and loud during construction. However, it seems that when the construction is over it will be a really nice place- our room was recently redone and was really nice.” Aug 28, 2008 by
Fred from Allen Park, MI
“As soon as we arrived, I explained that I was a priority gold card member, which didn't seem to make any difference. As a gold card member, we are guaranteed a certain level of treatment, such as certain perks, (restaurant discount coupons, freebees, etc. We received nothing. We even had to pay to park in there own structure. I enjoyed the hotel, however the pool closed to early and there were no brochures, menus, etc.” Aug 23, 2008 by
Lee from Southgate, MI
“Nothing in room to locate area night life. I asked the front desk about a particular nightlife area I heard about, was told there were only 2 places to go to there. We went to this area (warehouse dist.) and behold, there were probably at least a dozen bars/restaurants to go to.” Aug 17, 2008 by
Ellen from Bethesda, MD
“Only one of 4 elevators were working. Long waits for them, caused major delays in feeding the parking meters and having to pick up body lotion from the front desk. Staff was not very welcoming upon arrival. No people skills.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Crystal from Garfield Hts, OH
“The hotel itself has a good name but this particular one was a little less what I expected. When I arrived the counter girl never said Hi or enjoy your stay, which is what I get from all the best hotels and when I went up to my room the first thing I noticed was the smell, it was like an old room that had not had any through cleaning in a while. Next thing was as we took our shoes off to walk in the room the floor was very unpleasantly sticky and when I called down to the front desk to ask for assistance the girl told me there was nothing she could do, therefore I didn't even stay there my last night because of it and nobody seemed to care.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Cindy from Fort Wayne, IN
“After a 16 hour day at the Cleveland clinic and a six and a half hour surgery only to get lost at 1:30am on the way back to the hotel our room was not cleaned bed not made and no clean towels not a great day.” Aug 9, 2008 by
Mark from Fairfax, VA
“I was sorely disappointed that I requested 2 beds and they only had a room with one bed. I was traveling with my brother-in-law and therefore 1 bed was not an option.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Justin from Angola, NY
“Nice area, by the stadium and rock n roll hall of fame. A decent room for a 2.5 star hotel. But didn't like the extra cost to park in the ramp.” Aug 7, 2008 by
Katie from Upalnd, CA
“The hotel is currently renovating its rooms so beware if you are staying in any of the upper floors. The staff also seems severely overworked and it takes a couple of requests to get what you need. Otherwise, the hotel is conveniently located, has shuttle service to local attractions, and a great car service for the airport.” Aug 6, 2008 by
Barry from Athens, OH
“The hotel is great, if you get a redecorated room. And stay on a lower floor, so that you don't have to deal with their elevator problems.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Brett from Cedar Park, TX
“Hotel was under some renovation but location was good for the Hall of Fame. The room I stayed in had already been renovated and was nice. However, the elevators (two were broken and two were working) were extremely slow and this frustrated many quests. The parking charge of $16.00 seemed a bit high for an unmonitored garage.” Aug 4, 2008 by
Al from Sterling Heights, MI
“Good hotel. Close to downtown area. Very friendly people.” Aug 3, 2008 by
Sue from Cincinnati, OH
“This hotel is in a great location a short walk from the lake, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and Browns Stadium. Walking to the Indians stadium and Hard Rock Cafe takes about 20 minutes, but there is also a free shuttle that runs like clockwork. Great view of the sunset from the hotel! The hotel was being renovated, but accommodations were good. Staff was professional and helpful.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Sue from Alliance, OH
“This will be a very nice hotel when they are all done with there remodeling. It was great to have the shuttle take you anywhere you wanted to go and pick you up. Once you park your car you do not need it. Staff very friendly and helpful. Will surely go back.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Dan from Bloomington, MN
“You can walk to all the good bars and all three sports stadiums, plus hotel has free shuttle but you have to wait a bit.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Jeff from Delaware, OH
“A great upscale hotel close to many popular attractions. We were very pleased.” Jul 29, 2008 by
Carl from Columbus, OH
“Centrally located with a knowledgeable staff.” Jul 23, 2008 by
Mike from Pittsburgh, PA
“The shuttle dropped us off and never came to pick us back up even after 8 phone calls and assurances from the girl at the front desk that it was on its way. Ended up having to call a cab and spend $20. On the hotels behalf I should mention that 2 drivers quit that day, but they should have told us they wouldn't be back to get us up front so I would have called a cap 2 hrs sooner!” Jul 18, 2008 by
Donald from Millersville, PA
“The office manager is not returning my phone calls and has not corrected the error.” Jul 17, 2008 by
Steve V. from Baltimore, MD
“Its near the train tracks. The trains run very regularly.” Jul 14, 2008 by
Tom from Kenmore, NY
“Very clean spacious room. Exceeded our expectations. Location was perfect for Cleveland city sights such as restaurants, night life, baseball and the Rock/Roll Hall of Fame. My wife loved the room. That pretty much says it all!” Jul 14, 2008 by
Amber from Cleveland, OH
“The hotel staff was slow in responding to my complaint and were reluctant to do anything. Something like that is clearly unacceptable and should not be tolerated.” Jul 12, 2008 by
Bill from Akron, OH
“Hotel was in the process of being renovated. We stayed in an updated room and it was very nice.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Julia from Muncie, IN
“We checked into the hotel in the late afternoon. We were given our room card on the very top floor and walked into a room that had not been cleaned yet (unmade bed, pop cans, etc.) We were then placed into a new room that was very clean and had the same size bed that we requested. The hotel is located in an area that did not seem completely safe. The outside of the building needs some major renovation. The staff was helpful, but not overly friendly.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Rob from Hamilton, ON CA
“This hotel is under renovation and half the floors have been renovated. It's not terrible, but it's more like an old Days Inn off the highway than a 3-star hotel.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Jennifer from Poulsbo, WA
“This hotel has great accommodations and is located centrally to downtown. The only thing I disliked about this hotel was that it was under construction, a lot of the facilities such as the restaurant and pool were closed.” May 31, 2008 by
Kait from Ashville, NY
“I really enjoyed the hotel. We went with 3 other couples to a country concert so we were only there a night. The staff was friendly and helped when they could. It was very busy due to many events occurring that weekend. Our room was amazing, flat screen television and all! Exceeded my expectations for the price! I would definitely stay there again.” May 1, 2008 by
Matt from Springfield, OH
“Overall very good hotel. I enjoyed myself and the location was perfect.” Nov 29, 2007 by
John from Rochester, NY
“Sorry, this stay was extremely poor. When we got to the hotel, the key didn't work three different times. The hotel was extremely understaffed at checkout time. The wait was way too long.” Nov 19, 2007 by
Julie from Fenton, MI
“I was very disappointed in this hotel. There was mold in the sinks and showerhead, the mattresses were extremely uncomfortable. I actually received bruises from the springs that were almost poking through. We changed rooms three times in a 4 night stay because of the construction work that commenced at 6am right outside of our eighth floor window. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone, and I will no longer trust the holiday Inn franchise.”
