• Was surprised at the $18 parking charge.

• Parking was too close and too tight of quarters.

“Paying $50 for this upscale Cleveland hotel, made many of our other soccer parents in town for a tournament very jealous. They were paying $86 to stay at a Holiday Inn or Comfort Inn.”

• Didn't care for the location because it was squeezed into downtown. Too cramp.

“Large, well-kept room, nicely-appointed. Front desk staff very helpful, and a free shuttle service for around town. My room was a little noisy, but not overly so. Overall, an excellent value for the price I paid.”

• Outdated plumbing, air/heat system, poor maintenance.

“I had several problems with my room, which the staff tried to fix (some they did). The air/heat system was not working properly and the room was very dry and hot at night. There were also problems with the tub draining, a vent hanging (nails gone) over the bathtub. The ice machine on our floor was broken. The maid service was poor, one time I tried to communicate about the ice machine, the girl spoke very little English, was dressed inappropriately and no help. I didn't get but one menu/order form for room service, so I only ordered one meal, no ice bucket bags, didn't restock toiletries. Just a bad experience, I spent my last night (with my daughter) in The Marriott. What an improvement for less money!”

• The parking garage was small. I got out easy.
• Just about everything.

“There was a sopping wet shirt left in my room that wasn't mine, no soap at first when I got there, Ice machines didn't work for three floors either way, water didn't get warm for about ten minutes, pillows were missing and to top it all off, my wine didn't come for 45 minutes after I had called room service 6 times to get a hold of them. It was a great night of relaxation.”

• Clean, very recently refurbished.
• Room was very cold, despite setting thermostat at highest possible setting. Construction noises early Sunday morning.

“Decent Downtown location, not far from Rock Hall and Warehouse District (which amounts to about three blocks of bars/restaurants, but some very good ones, including Sushi Rock). Received a rather rude response from desk clerk when we called to request some more hangars (only 3 in our closet) - "How many more you need?" Four or five. "Four or five? What you got up there?" Never had anything quite like that from a front desk of a major hotel before. Room was extremely cold throughout a three-day stay.”

• The friendly staff- I can honestly say Ive stayed at about 100 hotels in my lifetime and I have never had a friendlier staff.
• The parking garage didn't seem too safe.

“This hotel was located Downtown. The room we were given overlooked the lake and the Cleveland Browns Stadium. The person at check-in greeted us like he was a family member and the woman beside him behind the desk treated her customer the same.”

• Comfort of beds.
• Run down bathroom, poor heating, and Luke warm water from faucets.

“This isn't a bad hotel to stay at - in a pretty good central location. The beds were comfortable and the furnishings were nice and new. Other than that it gave me the impression of a run-down hotel with a fresh coat of paint, furniture and bedding. My room was cold, the water was Luke warm and the parking is an additional $18/day. They did provide shuttle service free of charge around Downtown.”

• It was New Year's Eve and we were put on a floor that was a group partying together - terrible noise (vulgarity and lewdness).

• Window was not sealed .I could even see light coming in from the room next door. Could not sleep due to noise levels.

“We had a slight problem with our room temperature but they sent up a maintenance person immediately and he fixed it. And he left a note indicating what he had done in addition to making the adjustment. Excellent service by the entire staff.”

• The staff and manager were wonderful.
• Their parking garage is dirty, wet and scary.

“It was a very pleasant stay; the staff went out of their way to give us help. It's very close to the rock n' roll hall of fame and the varied restaurants of the warehouse district. The shuttle service to near by attractions and restaurants is a great added benefit, especially when it's cold.”

“There was a fight next to our room at 2:00 a.m. which ruined our nights sleep. Then at 7:00 a.m. there were two women talking that sounded like they were in our room. I think the conversation may have come through the heat vents.”

• Beds were very soft. Showers were warm.
• I enjoy a fan sound in my room. No fan sound.

“All in all, it was a great experience. Although I believe the parking cost is a little pricey ($18 for self-park, $20 for valet) everything else was fine. Exceeded expectations for this particular stay.”

• The beds were excellent and the new carpet was great.
• The bathroom still needs a little tweeking. Mold on ceiling above shower and tile work a bit shabby.

“We were very happy with our accommodations and the hotel deserves 3 stars and we could tell they are working to bring it up to 4. The parking and check-in were easy and the overall feel of the place was nice. The concierge was very friendly and helpful.”

“I would stay there if you want to be in Cleveland for work or pleasure. The rock-n-roll hall of fame is a short walk. I walked to Jacobs field for the playoffs, it was about a 1/2 mile but the red sox win made it an easy walk.”

“This hotel far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed how close the hotel was to the rock and roll hall of fame (walking distance), brown's stadium and great restaurants and night clubs. We enjoyed it so much that one week later, on our way back through town we decided to stay again.”

• Room was extremely cold, small, and plain.

“This is a hotel whose time has past. While outside, lobby and common areas are beautiful, rooms are small, and need to be updated. The although it was approaching the middle of October, the boiler had not been turned on, so there was no way to warm the room up from the "full cold" the thermostat was originally set at when we arrived. The only reason we stayed here is the meetings I was attending were held here. I don't expect to return.”

“I was very pleased. The room was very nice. I was worried that I would get a crappy room since I got such a good rate of $109 per night, but I even got a view of the lake. The room was clean, the shower worked I have no complaints.”

• Good location to Cleveland clinic and some discounted rates for Cleveland clinic patients.
• Could hear noise coming from next room through joint of outside wall and adjoining wall.

• Parking was steep $18.00 to park overnight.

“Hotel was kept up very well, located right by everything. We had a very nice room, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The bathrooms were a little outdated, but for the price we paid we didnt care at all. Plus we were there to just sleep. Taxi cab to the flats (shooters) around $6.50 plus tip. Each way. Not too bad! We would stay again.”
