• Great location, in the best part of downtown Cleveland.
• A little outdated.

• Great location. Very unique architecture.
• No swimming pool or hot tub.

“ The Hyatt has a very unique design and is located in a great spot. It is close to all downtown Cleveland attractions. There is shopping and restaurants located inside the hotel. The only downside is that there was not a pool or hot tub, but the fitness room was more than adequate. ”

“If you are looking for the usual quality of Hyatt Hotels, you will not find it here. This was the dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. A romantic getaway weekend turned bad quickly when the room had dust bunnies in the corners, the strong smell of smoke, burn holes in the curtains and visible stains on the blanket (not to mention the toe nail clipping that was in the bed - not ours). This hotel does not measure up to the star rating given. You would be better of at a clean/updated economy hotel chain.”

• The architecture is classically beautiful.
• The non-smoking room we stayed in the second night smelled like smoke.

“The hotel is a historical landmark and for good reason. The arcade is beautiful to walk through and the staff was extremely friendly. They couldn't get us a king bed the first night but assured we would have one the second night (and we did).”

• I liked that it is near where my son lives. What a wonderful introduction to Cleveland! Quality place.
• There was no place to house our pet, and so we had to find accommodations. Also parking! $28 a night?

“Lovely stay in a beautiful historic hotel that did not scrimp on quality or beauty. We loved it and hope to return some day soon.I like the indoor shopping mall and hope that portion will be restored to its former glory. Personal staff. Great place!”

• Large room with alot of characther. It wasn't a cookie cutter space.
• Rooms over look shopping space one the first floor of building so there was an echo.

• I liked the historical aspect. It was built in 1890 and has been restored to it's old glory.
• The room was nice but not as nicely appointed as I had expected.

“Lovely building, unique styling, and comfortable. The rooms were more modern which did not stick with the theme of the hotel.”

“My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt in the Arcade in Cleveland, Ohio. Our stay was great. The staff was helpful (I forgot my socks). The quickly phoned Tower City to check their hours. I purchased new socks. The room was clean, and had a comfortable bed. We had a nice view of the E.4th St. restaurants and clubs.”

• We could walk to the baseball game at Progressive Field.
• We had to call down to the front to get a remote for TV & we had no wash clothes or hand towels.

“Everything was great except for the oversight of not having the room ready for a customer. Remote & lack of towels for us. You don't notice no hand towels until you need one.”

• Wonderful atmosphere and great location.

“We really liked this hotel for it's downtown location. The room was great and the bed was really comfortable. We will stay here again, but next time I'll ask for a room away from the parking garage. The only window in our room was a view of the garage, and I would have preferred a city view. We didn't sleep very well because there were people screaming in the adjacent parking garage from 2-4 am. We called the front desk, but they couldn't do anything about the noise because the garage is not part of the hotel.”

• The Arcade is truly a Renaissance building. Classic luxury at an affordable price!

“The Arcade is by far the best value in downtown Cleveland. Their is a good tailor, a Post Office and other services right in the building. The front desk and concierge are first rate. I was upgraded to a Deluxe Room and will definitely be back!”

• Valet parking: cars were parked in a garage 4 blocks from hotel. Need minimum 20 minutes for service.

“Nice, but not 3 star. Clean, but worn. Needs some renovation. I felt that the Priceline rate was great. Much more realistic than what the hotel was asking.”

“I really liked the hotel, everything was clean, staff was friendly, etc. It had a bunch of little shops and things to do inside of it but nothing was ever open. The room was in perfect condition when we arrived, I couldn't have asked for anything better.”

• The people awesome, I was wwed right from the beginning from the valet who took an ownership role, helping and I appreciated that!
• The room was very small and cramp, felt alittle closed in.

• The interior Arcade was fantastic!

“We stayed at The Hyatt Arcade for one evening and were very pleased! The interior of hotel was so neat with the shops inside, the staff was friendly and accommodating, the rooms were roomy and the beds/pillows were so comfortable. As a very frequent visitor to Cleveland I will try to book here every time.”

• Very different classy feeling in this hotel.

  No parking, you have to valet for $21 a day with in/out privileges.

“Hotel was great, from the outside it doesn’t look like anything spectacular, but once you get inside it all opens up into a huge 6 floor open hollow area. Bottom 2 floors shops, stores, and shopping, top 4 floors hotel rooms.”

“I was traveling with children. I thought this was remarkable as we travel often and no one has ever offered this. The building has a beautiful nostalgic feeling without being run down. I would definitely stay here again.”

• I liked the location of the hotel. Not far from
  downtown attractions.
• The food in the restaurant was way overpriced. $14 for French Toast.

“The hotel is beautiful and elegant. The staff was very friendly. Safety is not an issue as one must use a room key to access the elevator to the room level in the arcade. The only problem I see is that there were no restaurants nearby, and since it snowed a lot, driving was out of the question. Overall it is a great hotel.”

• The King bed was so comfortable and the layout of the hotel was stunning/romantic.
• Check In/Out staff wasn't very friendly.

“This hotel is wonderful. The King bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. Valet staff was exceptionally polite. I was a little disappointed that the hotel staff during checking in/out wasn't that friendly. No one was rude, but they didn't make me feel special or valued. The historic Arcade building is beautiful!”

• Location.
• Bedding smelled badly, they replaced the comforter when I called, but we stayed up because of the smell in the mattress etc. Not staying here again.

“The hotel's location is great, very outdated though they've renovated it, only valet parking, and then our bedding smelled, comforter was changed, but it still wreaked badly, keeping us awake most of the night - I would definitely not recommend this hotel because of the lack of hygiene and cleanliness.”

• The staff was friendly.
• My hotel room was not clean and fresh, no flat screen television, toiler was nasty.

“The staff was very friendly and nice. However, my bathroom toilet was not clean which led me to believe the room was not properly cleaned. It was a smoking room and I found an unlit cigarette on the side of the night stand which led me to believe the room was not cleaned properly and the room still had a smoke smell in it. The bedding could have been a little more comfortable now considering many hotels have the heavenly bed.”

• Beautiful, historic, right downtown, clean, professional, friendly.
• Internet in the rooms is not free.

“My boyfriend and I were looking for a place right downtown Cleveland. This hotel lived up to all our expectations--right downtown, safe, professional, friendly, and of course clean. Our room had high ceilings (historic building, America's first indoor mall) and nice touches like good linens, granite counter tops in the bathroom, nice soap/shampoo and oh yes, good shower pressure even though we were on the 7th floor. A quick walk through the indoor arcade and you found yourself in a nearby alleyway (with security in place) that had plenty of bars and dining spots. Cleveland offers the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Christmas Story House (plus other stuff that we never got to).”
