• This hotel was very centrally located in downtown Cleveland. It was safe, beautiful, we loved it!
• The room itself was somewhat cramped.

“This hotel is one of the reasons that makes Cleveland a lovely place to travel to for leisure. We were centrally located downtown among some of the best places to eat and shop at all price ranges. The hotel went out of it's way to be everything you needed, from cabs, to excellent suggestions for local favorite hangouts. We will return to this hotel.”

• Small but nice rooms with good beds.
• Unable to get a cup of coffee anywhere in the hotel on Saturday morning until after 7 AM!

“The hotel is well appointed, clean and attractive. customer service is not outstanding. I had to beg for a cup of coffee prior to 7 am on a Saturday morning because none, I was told by the front desk, was available anywhere in the hotel. What?”

• Very clean. The rooms were very comfortable.
• The location. It was hard to get to, too many Panhandlers in the area, no place to get food late- restaurants closed at 10:30.

“The hotel was very nice however, the location was not desirable. I would not stay in a Downtown hotel again but would rather stay on the outskirts where I would not be approached multiple times by people asking for money and where I would feel comfortable walking late at night to get something to eat.”

“This hotel was great in every way. I travel a lot. This was a chain hotel (Marriott) and the service, location and cleanliness were all excellent. The room was obviously remodeled and very comfortable. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, whether for business or leisure.”

• The hotel was spotless and upscale.
• There were few food choices in the area at late night.

“The hotel was as good as the reviews I read about. The place was very upscale with nice furnishings and very clean. The elevators were never a problem and the views and location were amazing.”

• The overall customer service.

“The hotel placed two holds on my account, by mistake, which placed my account in the negative. I thought it would be resolved after I spoke with a member of their Business Services Dept, the next day they withdrew (really they stole the money) in error (again) more money out of my account. I had to call their MBS Dept again, where I spoke with a very rude supervisor who had me again get copies of my statements at my bank in order for them to pay for the fees my bank charged me because of their errors. I am still waiting on them to credit back the money to my account and that is all that they will do for me! Horrible experience!”

“The room was clean; staff is friendly except valet parking. The service you get for paying $20 to get your car parked is very poor especially if you're not driving a fancy car. Overall if they resolve the parking problem and we travel to Cleveland we will use this hotel again.”

• The view was Awesome.
• We drove 9 hours to get there and arrived at 5:15 to be told our room wasn't ready, the room was right off the elevator (loud).

“Like I said it was very nice for the price, but after driving all day to make a baseball game to be told the room wasn't ready was upsetting, then we were offered vouchers for drink/food but she never gave them to us. The room was right off the elevator and it was pretty loud. Also we had to pay $20 a day to park.”

• It was a beautiful hotel and the bed was so comfortable.
• The parking garage was not in a convenient location and the bathroom was dirty. Also, the employees at the valet desk were not very friendly.

“Altogether I really enjoyed my stay here. It was a beautiful hotel and most of the staff was very friendly. The bathroom in my room was not swept and had hair all over the floor but other than that the room was beautiful. I also would have liked the parking garage to be closer.”

“Nice hotel in the middle of the city. Good for business traveler. Because this hotel is used by the browns, cavaliers, and Indians, it is somewhat detached from the general guest and focused on the pro sport clientele.”

“The staff appeared less than approachable and displayed an arrogant attitude. The rooms were beautiful however, the toilets barely flushed. I would not prefer to stay at this hotel in the future.”

• Adjoining rooms, easy to find, very friendly and helpful staff.
• Pool was to small, rooms were small, and internet was not free in rooms.

“This hotel was very nice, especially for the price, although it was more suited for a business traveler, than for a family of 4. If I was traveling for business, I would have expected free internet access in the room. I would stay here again if I was traveling for business, but probably not with young kids.”

“This was a very nice hotel, nicely decorated room with a comfortable bed and flat screen TV. The staff was kind and helpful. This is a four star hotel. One adverse comment is that the seat in the lobby look nice but is totally unusable as seating. The chairs are stiff and enormous but with no pillows so that you have to sit perched on the edge.”

• The remodeling of the rooms and lobby are very attractive and modern. Nice workout equipment.
• The pool looked very unappealing. It is a nice hotel, we were disappointed that we did not get to stay at the Renaissance again. That is a fantastic.

“This hotel is very beautiful. It appears to be a hotel that many business travelers use. I did not find it romantic and charming as I have others. ”

• Nice room and lobby. Really felt upscale upon entering. Staff helpful and courteous. In room service was very good- we had breakfast delivered.
• The bathroom sink area could be a little larger.

• The rooms were very contemporary We loved the flat screen TV. The view of Lake Erie was great.
• They did not provide any soap to wash your hands in the bathroom.

“Excellent hotel. The room are beautiful and contemporary. We loved the flat screen TV. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. I would have liked free internet access and soap for washing hands in bathroom, had to be purchased in hotel lobby.”

“Stayed there Feb 16, 17 and 18, 2007. I found the rooms to be so nice, and the beds, linens, down comforter and the flat screen TV, made the stay very pleasurable. The best nights sleep, and the buffet downstairs was nice. I did find that the buffet started to close by 1230pm, even though' they said they were open till 1pm. Most of the food was taken away. I did find that the 18.00 to park your vehicle there was a little steep but, the streets were not equipped for a lot of parking, so we just cabbed it around. I would definitely stay there again.”

“I would recommend the Marriott Cleveland downtown to anyone. We had a beautiful corner room that overlooked lake Erie. The room was spotless. The staff of the valet parking, front desk, and room service was all very friendly and accommodating. Excellent.”

• The sauna & Jacuzzi were nice.
• The service is nonexistent - even belligerent & rude.

“I will never stay at another Marriott. The hotel desk clerk crystal was rude, belligerent and insulting. Not once did anyone open a door for us or offer to carry our luggage to or from our room. We had to wait for valet parking longer than necessary and there were never any other guests ahead of us, as the hotel was virtually empty. This is not a four star hotel.”

• The rooms have great downtown views and you're close to everything.
• Get good directions, especially the one way streets.

“This hotel is centrally located for business and entertainment. We walked through the warehouse district and past tower city. The stadiums and science center were even closer. Parking was easy and access from i-90 is simple with directions. The rooms were luxurious, not huge. There was plenty of room for the two of us.”

“My experience was very negative. I found hair in the bathtub, dirty coffee in the coffeemaker, a previous guest¿s trash in the closet. The bedside lamp did not work. The alarm clock did not work. I would rate the hotel as a 1 star for room quality and cleanliness. Worse, the duty manager was generally unconcerned about my complaints. I received no note from management after registering them. The concierge lounge was closed on the weekend. On Friday it was manned by an employee who carried on a loud conversation with a guest, disturbing all others.”

• The hotel staff was very accommodating.
• We were surprised that the parking was $18.00/night, did not expect that high of a parking fee. But the garage was easily accessible to the hotel.

“We were very pleased that we chose this Marriott to stay at. My husband and I were celebrating our 25th anniversary. When making small talk at the reservation desk (upon check-in). I briefly mentioned our "milestone anniversary". The front desk clerks, Scott and Jessie, picked up on it and had champagne and strawberries w/cream sent to our room later that evening. They really made us feel special and welcome. We would definitely return again!”

• I am a big guy and they put us in a double bed room even though we showed up early.
