“Very nice, upscale, full service hotel. Used the fitness center (small but very nice equipment) and had a beer at the hotel bar (very nice and easy). Taking luggage from parking garage to the room and back was a little bit of a pain. Did not notice a good quick indoor route between the two.” Dec 10, 2009 by
Larry from Norwich,CT
“Beautiful 4star, elegant older hotel, with great location (attached to Tower City Mall), Brassiere Restaurant was super.” Dec 7, 2009 by
Carissa from Akron,OH
“Beautiful hotel in a great location. Room overlooked the Christmas lights on public square. Hotel limo took us to the theater and gave us a V.I.P. treatment.” Dec 3, 2009 by
Sharon from Cleveland,OH
“Although the location was outstanding, the request for two double beds was completely ignored, and the room was TINY. Only had one double bed, not comfortable for two friends traveling.” Nov 25, 2009 by
John from Andover,OH
“Great hotel, always enjoy the level of service! Best location in town!” Oct 12, 2009 by
Kaylene from Los Angeles,CA “What an awesome stay! The room I was initially assigned had a very small bathroom. The desk staff went out of their way to upgrade me to a bigger room with a beautiful bathroom. My partner and I had an amazing get away together. The room was beautiful, the facilities were superb and within easy walking distance of great restaurants and sports stadiums. Would definitely stay again.” Sep 27, 2009 by
Susan from Blissfield,MI
“Great experience. Staff was able to accomodate my request for 2 beds even though only one was reserved per their Priceline arrangement. We were upgraded to Club level as no other rooms with 2 beds were available and we were Marriot reward members.” Sep 8, 2009 by
Jennifer from Lockport,NY
“Excellent location for restaurants museums and stadiums. beautiful room and spacious bath. We stayed from Thursday to Saturday and the hotel was very quiet in spite of knowing there was a convention at the hotel. The pool area is beautiful but lacks a hot tub. Loved everyone in fact we were taking pictures and staff stopped and asked if we wanted to both be in the pics. The doormen were fantastic helpful with tips about where to eat and party.” Aug 26, 2009 by
Joe from Oakwood,OH “Hotel room was okay, not overly nice. Probably due to a facelift before too long.” Aug 23, 2009 by
Michelle from London,Canada
“The hotel is beautiful, large rooms, we had two queens and a pull out in an L shaped room. Large desk area and internet hook up for a fee. The breakfast was excellent and good selection. Friendly staff, always willing to help out.We had a great 2 night stay. Lovely hotel Lobby bar as well.” Aug 19, 2009 by
Tammi from Wadsworth,OH
“Starting with the cramped parking garage. Directions are poor inside so expect to have to back out of dead ends at least once. Spots are so tight many are wasted because patrons take more than a spot. We drove around the whole garage three times all 3 levels to finally get a spot. Garage is a bit scary. No good places to walk from car. Stairs and elevator are filthy. We paid $23 for this parking situation. We should have paid another $7 for valet, and we would have, but were already in the garage at the ticket station before we realized the valets were all around the corner. Hotel is the cleanest I've ever seen in the U.S. At 4 AM we awoke to a scream. Partying continued for hours. In the morning the desk advised us the weekends are like this because people come for weddings and stag/bachelorette parties and forget how to behave. Nice. Our weekend away from the children for our anniversary was not as quiet and relaxing as we had hoped. I thought by going 4 star I could avoid the motel mentality, but apparently not. I am disappointed that the hotel allows this. I will not try to stay at this hotel again.” Aug 18, 2009 by
Jackie from Lowell,MA
“This hotel was very impressive. Very nice decor and very clean. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. If I was ever in the Cleveland area again I would absolutely stay at the Renaissance. The only down side was, there were a few rowdy guests enjoying the pool after posted hours.” Aug 15, 2009 by
Carol from Hamburg,NY
“We enjoyed our stay very much. Being downtown on the public square was a terrific location. The architecture was lovely. The fountain in the lobby was beautiful and the view of downtown from there was outstanding. We all enjoyed the unusual shape of the pool and the feeling that you're outside, but you're not. We highly recommend.” Aug 3, 2009 by
Michael from Stuart,FL
“Nice value for the money.” Jul 8, 2009 by
Wendy from Fairport,NY
“Would like to try again.” Jul 3, 2009 by
Shawn from Tupperville,Canada
“This hotel was very disgusting. The staff (other than the front desk) was rude. The pool was completely useless and had no hot tub or steam room. The room stank and I almost positive the maid stole my camera. please do not stay at this hotel. The security was rude and quite frankly scary! The hotel was under some kind of construction so the view was of scaffold.” May 1, 2009 by
John from Ravenna,OH
“Would stay again.” Apr 29, 2009 by
Heather from Akron,OH
“The hotel was located very conveniently for our trip and the accommodations met our expectations.” Apr 23, 2009 by
Joe from Depew,NY
“Hotel is great stayed here two weekends in a row. Could not find a better location. Walking distance to everything never had to use car.” Apr 23, 2009 by
TJ from Endicott,NY
“Beautiful hotel, needs to work on ice machines.” Apr 16, 2009 by
Ashli from Newark,OH
“The hotel was renovated back to its classic charm. We were on the 5th floor on the inside. Which means we had an outdoor sitting area which was very cute and sweet. But the room was very tiny. And because we had a door to the atrium (which was where the pool was) it was very loud. I was woke up at 8am on Sunday morning to kids screaming and laughing from the pool. I was trying to sleep. At 2 am for about an hour we had drunk twenty somethings slamming doors and screaming. But no one did anything. And then the worst part of the inability to sleep is that the hotel gives you two pillows. One is a feather pillow which is about 1 in thick or a Huge 2.5 feet X 2.5 feet. And about 1 foot thick. It was hard and heavy. I couldn't sleep because this was very uncomfortable and when I was able to I woke up the next day with a stiff neck. Not very comfortable.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Ben from London,Canada
“Believe, ended up changing rooms because of after hours pool noise. Pool was closed at 4:00 pm for maintenance, was told it would open in 30 minutes. The pool was fantastic.” Apr 12, 2009 by
Julie from Pittsburgh,PA
“Nice hotel with a convenient downtown location. The indoor pool and gym were nice - they had fresh apples in the gym which was great. Staff was friendly, but service was slow throughout hotel. Great shower and room was small but nice.” Apr 1, 2009 by
Ray from Milton,Canada
“While it is a historic building in Cleveland, the general rooms are certainly not worth the four star price.” Mar 25, 2009 by
Mark from Lowellville,OH
“The hotel was well worth the money. The view from our room was not good. But the bed was fantastic. The bar was a little expensive, but the location was perfect. Close to shopping and the Q.” Mar 21, 2009 by
Rick from Chanhassen,MN
“Bad experience, parking and internet too expensive. Heat did not work.” Mar 12, 2009 by
Nicole from Norwalk,OH
“Great location, clean comfortable rooms. Staff was pleasant and bar was nice.” Mar 11, 2009 by
Justin from Newark,OH
“Great location in Cleveland, walking distance to the Q, Jacob's Field, as well as to West 6th street (bar scene). Room was extremely small, but very nice. Was disappointed by the noisy hallway at night/early morning. I would have thought with an upscale hotel the staff would have addressed these problems better. I was also disappointed by the parking situation. The hotel has its own garage, but parking is still very limited. I had to circle the garage about 3 times before I located a couple that was leaving.” Mar 10, 2009 by
Amy from Clarence Center,NY
“We would stay again and recommend it to friends and family. Location and the staff was very impressive. It is a beautiful hotel, clean and the staff was friendly and went out of the way to make our stay special.” Mar 9, 2009 by
Todd from Sherwood,OR
“ This hotel is very old. It has not been refurbished in many years. The rooms are old and the heaters are 30 years old and work very poorly. The internet is the old plug in style and is extremely slow. There is no way you can do any internet communication using their server. There is no wireless to connect to either. The front desk actually told us to go to the coffee shop in the adjacent mall to email or connect to the internet. ” Feb 25, 2009 by
Tom from Felton,DE
“Great hotel, great ambiance, terrific location right in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. The room was nice and the bed was amazing.” Feb 17, 2009 by
Gary from Canonsburg,PA
“I loved it. We have stayed there before, but it was long ago. Very clean and the staff was accommodating. Attached to the mall and dining areas. You did not have to go outside if you choose.” Feb 16, 2009 by
Chuck from Detroit,MI
“Clean Friendly staff” Jan 30, 2009 by
Chris from West Milton,OH
“This hotel was amazing. The staff makes you feel like a million dollars. The entire hotel is amazing. Best bed I have ever slept on in a hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for any trip you ever take!” Jan 25, 2009 by
Tara from Churubusco,IN
“Hotel Parking was close yet expensive around $25.00 for the night. Check-In was fast. Our room was comfortable: Beds and pillows were fantastic, food was really good (expensive!) and staff was so friendly and accommodating. The building seems old and the rooms too.” Jan 20, 2009 by
Rob from Uniontown,OH
“I really liked this hotel. Upon arriving I ask for and was upgraded to an executive suite. We met friends for the Cavs game and it was nice that we could walk to the arena through the tunnel without going outside since it was 5 degrees out. Also nice the tower city shopping so we had plenty to do inside. The staff was excellent as was the bar and restaurant. I would recommend this hotel.” Jan 4, 2009 by
Melissa from Westlake,OH
“We expected more from this hotel and were sadly disappointed. We have been to many hotels throughout the country and we have seen Sheraton and Holiday Inn rooms that are more luxurious than the Cleveland Renaissance.” Dec 31, 2008 by
Don from Brookville,IN
“Great place to stay for a weekend in downtown Cleveland.” Dec 8, 2008 by
Chris from Roanoke,VA
“I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and only once had any issues. I will definitely be back.” Dec 4, 2008 by
Greg from Trenton,OH
“Very nice historic hotel in the heart of Cleveland. Very beautiful inside and out. Our room was small but nice. Parking is $23.00 a night, and a long walk and elevator ride to get there.” Nov 29, 2008 by
Bill from Pittsburgh,PA
“Arrived, and checked in swiftly, bell captain and Valet were prompt and courteous. Went to lower level to grab lunch, wasn't impressed with the fare, then to the lobby bar which was a nice atmosphere. Returned to my room to get ready for a meeting, associate and I went to sans souci for dinner. Average at best food. When I returned from meeting, was no valet, and was told to wait at front desk to drop my keys off. Next morning the valet took 25 min to retrieve my vehicle. Room was nice but small, bed was comfortable and shower was relaxing. I wouldn't call it a 4 star, other than its size and architecture.” Oct 3, 2008 by

“My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Nice big bar, good restaurant and helpful staff. A few things that were a bit annoying... the TV was so far away from our bed we could hardly see what was on TV, the room was a lot smaller than we planned for. The ice machine was out of ice the 4 days we were there (unacceptable for such a nice hotel). Overall it was nice.

“My friends were impressed with the hotel as I was the one that had gotten the rooms for everyone. Rooms were very nice. My friends were also impressed with the lobby and how attractive it was and that says a lot coming from guys that were there to see a football game.” Sep 20, 2008 by
Melanie
“Staff is very helpful. Hotel is beautiful and in a terrific location. We only used the breakfast restaurant this visit. Hotel is connected to the mall and to the RTA (local train service) that was very convenient for my father in law who had a knee problem and could not walk far.” Sep 16, 2008 by
Bob
“We arrived and were pleasantly greeted by the front desk attendant. She advised us that the only room available was a queen size room. We got to a room and it was rather small. There was only one queen bed in the room. The AC made a tick noise the entire night and the smoke alarm was flashing all night.” Sep 15, 2008 by
Helen.
“Very nice hotel.

“We did not have time to use any of the facilities of the hotel. The hotel was very nice.” Sep 11, 2008 by
John from Rochester, NY
“The concierge service was terrible in getting our bags to our room. It took them over 45 minutes after I called and asked them where luggage was.” Sep 10, 2008 by
James from Toledo, OH
“It seems to me, such I got a good price on the room. I received the worst room possible.”
