• In was convenient to cypress gardens.
• The internet access did not work for much of the visit.

• Close to cypress gardens, pillows arranged on bed, big clean pool.
• The tub could take recaulking. Ceiling over tub needs paint. Only one TV remote for two rooms connecting.

“The child accidentally sighed up for special music on the TV which would have been an additional charge. We called the front desk immediately after I witnessed this myself. I had the child (age 16) call the front desk because she had made the mistake. I wanted her to learn how to take care of mistakes immediately. The front desk told the child that both rooms would have to be charged because there is a button you must push to get service. This was unacceptable to me. I spoke with front desk myself and explained it was an accident, and it had not been more than two minutes. She said she was not sure but would check the control to see how much time had passed, she would call me back. I phoned 15 min later and spoke with another person who listened as I explained my situation. She was nice but busy, and she said she would call me back. I never received a return call so I called back before going to sleep (about two hours after incident), and the front desk said that all charges were reversed.”

• I liked this hotel. It was clean, quiet, safe and comfortable. It exceeded my expectations.
• I can't think of anything that I didn't like about my visit to this hotel.

“I was very pleased with this hotel. The staff was helpful and kind and the hotel exceeded my expectations. I had a king sized bed with a pull-out couch and both were comfortable to my family. The room was clean and we had everything that we needed. I was even surprised that we had a refrigerator in our room. I really can't think of any complaints. (We even stayed in a room directly across from the pool and it was quiet.) I would definitely stay here again.”

“First room we got smelled like cat urine (there were quite a few cats all around hotel) I assume they must go in while cleaning or something. Second room was a little better. The following morning there was no hot water at all. We had three in our room that needed to shower, I called the office and was told maintenance would be in about a half hour. That doesn't help when you need to leave at a certain time. No apology nothing, quite rude! I am not one to complain but it was an awful experience”

• I loved the cleanliness and the location of this hotel, and my children loved the pool area.
• Having the washers and dryers outside. That seemed unsafe at night.

“I was pleasantly surprised by the whole feel of this hotel. Because it was so close to the sunshine state games, I thought it was not going to be as nice for the price. Happily, I was wrong. We enjoyed it!”

• Affordable, clean, close to attractions, restaurants, etc.
• No continental breakfast.

“It was a nice hotel for what we needed it for: affordable, clean, and close to the attraction we were visiting. It was one of the nicer hotels in the area that we stayed in.”

• Beds were queen size with 5 wonderful pillows each! Comfy.
• Our toilet was broken, but they were quick to fix. So not an issue.

“The hotel was very close to Cypress Gardens and had everything you needed right around the corner, from supermarkets, mini-mart's, restaurants, gas, everything. It was right there. The hotel pool and pool area were very large and extra clean. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay.”

• Outdoor entry to all rooms.

“The rooms are big, which was nice. Beds pretty comfortable. On command satellite TV with great selections; many hotels in this class do not have on command. Outdoor entry to all rooms (no interior corridors) was the only major drawback. Decor is pretty dated. Overall a good experience.”

“This hotel was close to several restaurants and was average in quality. Staff was friendly and they did have Wi-fi in the rooms which was nice to have.”

• Very friendly staff and helpful, this was for a birthday. great stay.
• They need to put steps and a handrail in swimming pool, not accessible to the elderly and handicapped.

“I thought the staff was excellent, check in took about five minutes. rooms were very nice and comfortable. My husband ate in the restaurant and said it was very good and affordable.”

• Customer service way exceeded expectations.
• Bathrooms are ancient and have no ventilation.

“The hotel itself is older, and while the room we stayed in was nicely maintained, the bathroom was cramped, the tub was patched up and the shower squealed in protest when turned on. What sets this hotel apart is the wonderful staff. Everything we requested was provided instantly and with a smile. We were treated like valued customers and would stay there again when visiting Cypress Gardens, even though it's not the most conveniently located for this attraction.”

• Humidifier in the room!
• Pool closes at 10pm - but that is the worse thing I can think of.

“I was so impressed with this Hotel! I live in Cent. Fla. and travel often with my two sons - this had to be the best Hotel we've stayed at. The equipment [ac/shower/TV/beds] was all new or in very good working order. There was an iron and board! The staff was so nice and friendly - I just can't say enough about this Holiday Inn. Also better than most other Holiday Inns I've stay at also!”

• When we had problems w/a/c and shower was fixed w/in 10 min.
• Needs microwaves.

• The bath towels were very worn out and the soap was to thin to leather. Poor quality of soap.

“Hotel is well located for any stay in the Winter Haven area. Rooms are well kept and have appropriate space although the bathroom area is a little tight. Rooms open to the outside but area is well lighted and safe.”

• The staff was great. Very friendly. And each bed had 4 pillows.
• I liked everything!

• I liked the free cookies and popcorn upon check in.
• We could tell it had been a smoking room before. There were cigarette burns in the bathroom on the counter. We asked for a non-smoking room.

“We enjoyed our stay, especially for the price of $45 a night. I didn't like our door opening up to the parking lot, especially since we were on the first floor. Location was great, close to Cypress Gardens and area restaurants.”

“The front desk service was unfriendly and slow. The room smelled funny and the bathroom floor had not been cleaned. The hotel had a security person on staff who sat in the hotel lobby watching TV. In the 3 times I was in the lobby, the guard was in the same seat.”

• Rude desk in the AM. No hot water. Told "too bad furnace was out".

“I expected a hot shower before I left the room. I was told the furnace was out, but not offered any consolation. The desk help in the morning was rude. The lady pretty much said "too bad". I think they should have apologized or something.”
