• I liked all the activities they offer that are close by.
• I wish I could have stayed longer.

“Stay at this hidden gem for the weekend. My wife and I had a fantastic time. We golfed one day and we fished the next. The gulf course was very nice though my balls spent more time in water and sand than in grass. The fishing was spectacular. My wife and I ate a few time at the Tiki bar and one night at Baleen the hotels restaurant. The Tiki food was very good and was served correctly and promptly by the Tiki staff. Baleen had a great view and food but was a little pricier than we are use to. Overall I would definitely recommend the La Playa to anyone who loves the beach, food, fishing or golf.”

• All the staff friendly and efficient. Beds were very comfortable. Good size nicely decorated room. Grounds and beach beautiful.
• We were across the street and there wasn't any security to enter building or elevators. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

“Beautiful,clean hotel with a great staff that knew us by name. Restaurant very good, very expensive. Extra fee of $20 valet and $17 beach chairs per day would have killed us if we had not got the room for so cheap. A lot of tipping but service was worth it and more. I would love to return again at the right price.”

• It was clean beautiful, clean and the staff could not be beat, they were wonderful!
• None.

“This hotel is the place to stay if you ever go to Naples Florida! We absolutely loved it! The staff go out of their way to see that you enjoy yourself and feel very comfortable. Every thing about the place was so clean and well kept. I hope to visit Naples again, and if so, there is no question about it, I will definitely stay at this hotel.”

• Beach location. Beautiful rooms.
• The concierge service. Parking, extra charges. Location of rooms across the street not handicap friendly place.

“The concierge was rude and not helpful. They charge extra for everything under the sun. The food is very expensive and terrible. I really loved their pool and beach. Their room was beautiful.”

• Beautiful layout, on the beach, friendly staff.
• Housekeeping knocked on our door even when we had the sign on the door to not come in.

• Great location, great service.
• Be careful of resort fees and parking fees. Resort fees did include towels, chairs, etc.

“I found La Playa to be a wonderful hotel. The staff and facilities were great and with the location on Vanderbilt Beach, it couldn't have been nicer. Baleens is the restaurant in the hotel. Great food, service, atmosphere.”

• Poor plumbing and electricity service in room (lights dimmed).

“Great location but rooms in need of upgrading (especially the utilities). Plumbing backuped up and lights constantly flitter (dim, and then brighten). Resort and parking fees excessive.”

• Room was great, spacious.
• Valet parking only. $17 resort fee, $20 parking per day.

“This is a great hotel if you want to get away. Park the car and do nothing. Room I had was spacious and very nice for the business traveler. Not having convenient access to your car is annoying at best. Also internet kept going down so much it wasnt even useful.”

• Very accommodating and friendly staff eager to please and provide great service. Everyone greets you!
• Nothing.

“We recommend highly. Room was great and large, all staff were very professional and extremely friendly. Beach was beautiful and our entire experience was extremely enjoyable. The hotel made every effort to ensure we had a wonderful time. We have stayed in 5 star hotels throughout the world and we thought La Playa ranked as a 5 star.”

• Rooms need some upkeep, front desk service not great.

“The hotel was beautiful with nice big rooms, a beautiful beach, and a beautiful pool. The front desk service was ok. We arrived 2 hours earlier than the 4 PM check-in time and were told to hang around the lobby as they will be able to get us in to the room shortly. We waited 2 hours in the lobby and were given no updates. We finally got into our room at 4:15 and they did not apologize. Also, on several occasions we wanted to talk with the concierge and could not find him/her. Instead, the desk clerk offered to answer our questions and did not give us answers that met our needs.”

• Dining service was slow.

“I was so pleased to be greeted by at least three valets upon arrival, who whisked my bags to my room in no time. My room was across the street from the main tower, so I was skeptical, but the room was huge, with 12 foot ceilings and lovely, comfortable furniture. The lanai was also furnished, with ceiling fan--great place to enjoy breakfast. Food at Baleen was wonderful but service (table for 1) was glacial. Room service breakfast was prompt, and I enjoyed it on the lanai overlooking the water.”

• Restaurant overpriced but good. Couldn't give us a king bed unless we paid $200 (we were celebrating our anniversary).

“The hotel was very romantic. The rooms were ok, not as nice as I would have expected. Beach and Pool area were amazing. Restaurant was over priced but food was really good. Perfect for couples or families as long as you have a lot to spend. They said parking would be $20 extra and that there would be a resort fee, but didn't charge us. We were celebrating our anniversary and got a room with two queen beds, when we asked for a king they said they would have to charge $200 more. Overall if we had the extra money to spend we would go again and may even bring the kids.”

• The hotel is located on the beach and in a beautiful location.
• Most of the rooms are actually located across the street.

“The main hotel is located on the beach, but the rooms are located in another building across the street. Guests must valet park, then tote their luggage, kids, etc. Across the street to the guestrooms. The beach is nice, but the hotel is inconveniently located away from area restaurants and attractions. I thought the Hilton in Naples was a better value.”

• Our room was perfect in every way.
• Restaurant was overpriced.

“The Laplaya Beach and Gulf Resort provided the perfect one night get away for my husband and me from our family vacation in Fort Myers Beach. The room was gorgeous, with an oceanfront view, staff was wonderful and the beach and pools were perfection. I would stay there at the full price rates. The Concierge recommends the Turtle Club for dinner and it was beyond fabulous.”

• The rooms were very nice. The beds were comfortable and the bedding top rate. The bathroom was exceptional.
• Upon checkout, they tried to charge me for my last night's stay!

“This resort hotel is great. We stayed in the Beach House. Our room overlooked the pool area. It was quiet, clean and the service excellent. The pools were clean; the beach was wide and beautiful. The service was great. With that said, since this is a resort, you must drive to stores & restaurants, there's nothing within walking distance of the hotel. The resort fee & valet parking is a definite drawback. However, overall, we enjoyed our stay at this property.”

• Great view, we had a balcony that was more like a patio, with spacious furniture and the view was beautiful.
• We loved everything.

“We arrived late around 1am and the staff was very friendly and got us into to our room quickly. We had breakfast in bed which was wonderful and the room was very clean and the bed was great. The pools were clean and well kept and the beach was peaceful. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will go back!”

“My Wife, children and I travel frequently. We have stayed in many locations from 5 star resorts to motels. Many things happened during out stay that made us feel this way. One example was they gave a king size bed (we have two kids 10 and 2). When I called to see if they could give us another room, they responded by saying 'there is nothing we can do you did not book directly with us'. It just went down hill from there.”
