“Very nice hotel. Service was great and the 3 pools were wonderful. Would love to come back!” Jul 8, 2009 by
Laurie from Lithia,FL
“We had an awesome time overall. The design and layout gave you a feel of "old florida". The food was delicious and some of the best service we have ever had. Loved golfing...beautiful course. The description of the private island beach talked about putting up an umbrella and chair and relax. The beach area was so narrow that we were not allowed to use the chairs.” Jul 8, 2009 by
Keds from Farragut,TN
“I loved this place. It was clean comfortable and was very nice. I recently stayed at another resort that was no where close to the level of service and atmosphere.” Jun 30, 2009 by
Sue from Fort Myers,FL
“Awesome getaway!” Jun 28, 2009 by
Emilce from Kissimmee,FL “Overall, this hotel met my expectations. There were many amenities to chose from while on property. The room was very clean and the view from our room was great.” May 22, 2009 by
Dolores from Upper Marlboro,MD
“Staff was helpful in removing resort fee of $15.00 as it was not quoted on your site, nor mentioned when I checked in. This needs to be addressed by both your companies. Pool water was very cold.” Apr 24, 2009 by
Wendy and Linda from Vero Beach,FL
“The Hotel was outstanding and a perfect place to find peace and rest.” Apr 19, 2009 by
Jocelyne from S. Burlington,VT
“Beautiful escape from everyday life.” Apr 4, 2009 by
Paul from Edina,MN
“Great staff/ beautiful grounds very nice pools and lazy river was great for kids room pretty nice lack of access to beach a negative overall great stay for a dad and his 6/9 year old.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Barbara from Boca Raton, FL
“I thought everything about of was worst. The people, service and grounds was top notch.” Sep 5, 2008 by
Robert from Davie, FL
“Great resort for couples or families looking for an all-in-one resort. Beautiful common areas, wonderful selection of 3 pools (including one family-friendly pool with beach entrance and water slide and one adults-only lap pool). Even though the resort is not directly on the beach, it is a pleasant 15 minute boat ride (complimentary) to get there. The one negative pertaining to the beach was the fact the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas were not made available due to the high surf and limited beach area (however, I spoke with a hotel employee who stated the chairs and umbrellas have not been available since May 2008.) A big plus was being able to use the amenities at the Hyatt's vacation condos just a few blocks away (you can drive there or take the resort's shuttle). The amenities included a lazy river, a waterfall pool, and a toddler's pool. Dining at the resort was pleasant; food was good, prices were somewhat high (to be expected when dining at a resort). I cannot comment on the kids camp because my kids were too young to be enrolled. However, other guests were spoke with said their kids enjoyed it. Overall, a very good experience.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Peter from London
“Fantastic hotel. Incredibly helpful staff. Very convenient mall 1.5 miles away with cinemas and restaurants. Shame that the boat doesn't run earlier/later because of the turtles (which I am convinced don't really exist).” Jul 31, 2008 by
Ondene from Miami Beach, FL
“Highly recommend, especially for families. Great location. Well kept grounds and pools. Dining in hotel is reasonable. Beautiful and large mall with lots of shopping and dining just minutes away.” Jul 10, 2008 by
Adam from Atlanta, GA
“This is a unique place to stay. We stayed over the 4th of July and the resort was crowded. This hotel is wonderful even in crowded conditions.” Jun 16, 2008 by
Samira from Lakeland, FL
“Hotel was not in a great location to begin with, we thought it would be a beachy location by the description of the proximity to the water, island was just ok, they packed us in with beach chairs like sardines, shore was filled with shells and my friend got cuts on his feet, the TV did not work, they recommended going to a local mall as something to do! The sad thing is that we actually did since there was nothing to do at night. Hotel was nice, the room was ok, but bed left a lot to be desired we felt like we did not get good rest.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Craig from The Villages, FL
“One of the best I've seen. They provide beyond your expectations.” Jun 1, 2008 by
Jordan from Maple Valley, WA
“The hotel has created a very inviting environment inside and out. Our corner room had three balconies with great views of the surrounding area including the Gulf of Mexico. The staff was generally helpful, especially the concierge. This wonderful gentleman proved to be a great resource on our short stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and the hotel grounds were very well kept. If we had not been hit with unforeseen resort fees at checkout we would not hesitate to stay at this hotel again. The only drawback to our experience at this hotel was having to pay $12 a day for a resort fee. As far as we know, this was the first time we've ever been charged extra for a dip in the pool and a copy of the morning paper. We had a fabulous time at the hotel, but we will definitely be tentative to stay again.” May 22, 2008 by
Tatiana from North Miami Beach, FL
“This was our second stay at this hotel and will definitely like to return. We loved it all except our diner at Tanglewood. Next time we'll try the Tarpon Bay restaurant. The staff and facilities were exceptional, we were even greeted with a glass of champagne! A plus is the boat ride to the beach. And last, but not least there's great shopping very close by.” May 16, 2008 by
Caroline from San Mateo, CA
“Great hotel for kids, fire pit for s'mores, access to lazy river pool and other pools of the Hyatt timeshares, beach on private island with boat rides provided by hotel. Only downside was that you had to bring back pool towels every time if you did not want to be charged $15/towel. So you had to make sure nobody took your towel or that you loose one.” May 14, 2008 by
Rose from Pembroke Pines, FL
“The staff of this hotel are helpful and friendly. Did what ever needed to be done to make our stay better. I rate them a 10.” May 13, 2008 by
Matt from Naples, FL
“I frequent this resort regularly. The customer service is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and it feels like a true vacation, even though I only live a few miles away. My children love the pool areas.” May 7, 2008 by
Chris from North Bay Village, FL
“Beautiful lobby and pool area. Staff were very friendly and room was just mediocre.” May 5, 2008 by
Amy from Lenexa, KS
“Overall, this was a wonderful hotel and resort. The staff was friendly, it was very clean, and the amenities outdoors were amazing. I would definitely stay there again.” May 1, 2008 by
Doug from Cincinnati, OH
“Everything about this place was great, the pool was awesome and the kids pool was far away from the other. I would definitely come back here.” Mar 30, 2008 by
Katrina from Mequon, WI
“The hotel is beautiful with a few qualifications. It is not on the ocean. Ferry service was fun, but impractical. Short hours and very crowded ocean beach. Pools are great, fountains and waterfalls provide ambiance but are somewhat noisy. Lots of younger kids during spring break fun if you are with your family. Maybe not fun if you are childless? Staff is fantastic! Room views on south side are spectacular. We asked to be reassigned from north view over roof and golf course. Received an awesome south view. West views are reserved for those who pay more. Great experience.” Dec 15, 2007 by
Anne from Langhorne, PA
“This hotel was very near shopping and great dining. The beach was a nice short scenic boat ride. The pool was pristine. The grounds and atmosphere of this property were wonderful.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Tammy from Tonganoxie, KS
“This hotel was everything that was advertised and I imagine would have been a great place for kids with all the water activities. The only thing that I disliked was that I was charged a $12 fee at check-out. When I asked what the charge was for they told me self parking, newspaper, faxes, phone calls, and the fitness center and it didn't matter if I had used any of those services or not. I have run into this at the Broadmoore in Colorado Springs too. It is only $12, but to me it tends to take a great experience and cheapen it. I would rather they just charge $12 more for the room. It would be different if the charge was based on usage of the services it is said to be for, but it isn't when I suggested that they tell you up front that there will be such a charge, the answer was that it is listed in the fine print in the information you are asked to sign when you provide your credit card for incidentals at check-in. Wonder what happens if you notice it at that time and say that you don't want any of those services and therefore not the charge either?” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 3, 2007 by

“Beautiful hotel with a very friendly staff. Great pools to spend the morning by. The boat ride to the private beach was very pleasant and we even saw dolphins near the boat. The private beach was very nice. Unfortunately the tide prevented us from getting there before 2 pm. I wish we could have stayed longer there. It was very nice. Beds were really nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. I would go back again.” Nov 28, 2007 by
Shelia from Parkland, FL
“This was our second stay and was just as enjoyable as the first. Didn't like the restriction of not being able to use the sister facilities till after 4pm because of Holiday.” Nov 27, 2007 by
Farhan from Winter Springs, FL

“Great resort but extra charges were: resort fee $12 (covered parking, boat ride to beach, local calls) and internet ($12).” Nov 25, 2007 by

“Nice rooms, clean pools, no beach, quite good restaurants.” Nov 20, 2007 by
Carlos from Saint Charles, MO
“Although the hotel was a lot further than where I wanted to stay, it was not hard to find or get to and the price was right. I really enjoyed the stay and I didn't see anything negative about the hotel itself.” Nov 16, 2007 by
Ld from Calgary, AB CA
“Beautiful hotel. Housekeeping could use improvement with their service.” Nov 11, 2007 by
Hiromi from Longwood, FL
“This hotel was nicer than I expected. Beautiful lobby and sunset from the balcony was breath taking. Private beach was very nice, and boat ride was fun. Bar area was open and band was nice. We will go back there.” Nov 6, 2007 by
Cynthia from Independence, MO
“Excellent. Would highly recommend.” Nov 1, 2007 by
Jim from St Petersburg, FL
“We really liked this hotel and would recommend it to friends. The hotel was clean and new looking. The only complaint we both had were that the staff were just odd. They weren't offensive but they acted more like they were all still in training and left alone to do their jobs. When we approached the concierge with a question, for example, she looked frightened and when I asked "may I ask you a question?" she sheepishly replied "Im not sure that I can answer it, what's the question? That is not what I expected from a concierge at a 4 star hotel. But all in all, the stay was very nice, the hotel was very nice. The pool area was fantastic and the view from our room was spectacular.” Oct 30, 2007 by
David T. from Tampa, FL
“The Hyatt regency coconut point resort and spa is a diamond in the rough. Your first impression when you see the resort is its a little outdated. But that completely goes away from the minute you open the front door and step inside this beautiful masterpiece of a resort. Many positives, waterfall pools, water slide, hot tubs, free boat ride to private island, hammocks, camp Hyatt, raptor bay golf course, and great dining. Recommend highly to couples and family's and as all Hyatts business travelers.” Oct 26, 2007 by
Chad from Saint Paul, MN
“Excellent location with fine amenities. Nice pool area and restaurants.” Oct 25, 2007 by

“Totally awesome! This was our second time going to this resort. Last year my husband and I went for our anniversary weekend and kept commenting on how much the kids would love it, so this year we took the whole gang (and some friends) and had a blast! Family friendly or romantic; whatever your need, it works.” Oct 23, 2007 by
Linda from Ocala, FL
“First class romantic break-away from the usual Mallorcan hustle. Take the wife (or someone else!)” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 17, 2007 by

“The hotel is surrounded by mangroves and Nature preserves which contributes to the great ambiance and feel of old Florida. Various pools and fountains cover the property. A beautiful lobby completes the atmosphere. The hotel is understaffed and there was only two waitresses to serve one restaurant with at least 16 tables. In addition, the food quality was average and the prices above average.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Oct 15, 2007 by
