• Very close to Bell Tower, staff was very friendly.
• Room was over-furnished: Charis were hard to use because they were stuffed into corners.

“This hotel is an excellent destination for overnight vacation travelers who intend to sample the variety of beaches and islands in the Fort Myers area. The hotel is quite new and very clean. The rooms are comfortable (although over-furnished).”

• Excellent location near shopping and restaurants.
• Not as upscale as expected.

“This Crowne Plaza was formerly a Holiday Inn. The interior rooms looked high quality. The building itself was not designed as an upscale Crowne Plaza. It was nice.”

• The central location in town is excellent and there are movie theaters and restaurants in walking distance.
• Since this was formally a Holiday Inn one can still tell that it is still a holiday inn with a couple of improvements.

“The location of this hotel is excellent and is probably better quality than most hotels in town in Fort Myers however; there are some improvements that could be made. The bathrooms are still Holiday Inn bathrooms. The refrigerator in the room is a nice touch and the beds were very comfortable.”

“The customer service was very poor; the clerk couldn't pass on a simple message to my boyfriend from less then 5 minutes earlier and I watched her watch him walk right on by.”

• Ants in room, dirty.

“We had ants in the room, the carpet was disgusting, and the bathtub was very dirty. The maids cleaned our room one day, and did not clean the bathtub, and took out the shower curtain and the coffee pot. We had to call the front desk and have them bring the items back. We had small children with us. It was terrible and we will probably never come again.”

• The desk clerk that checked me in went out of her way to make sure I was happy.
• Shower could have been cleaner.

“Pros: very nice hotel. Very comfortable and clean. Beds are great. Staff is extra helpful. Lots to do nearby. (I recommend the Edison Ford Estates, the Koreshan Village, and of course Sanibel, and Captiva Islands), and the pool is fantastic. cons: although the room overall was pretty clean, I found a packet of male enhancement cream on the floor and a piece of the sliding window latch that someone had broken of by someone prying the window open from outside. Also, there was hair in the shower from the last guest.”

• Staff was always courteous and helpful and eager to please.

“Very nice stay- bed was great. Pool was a little small and lounge chairs could be replaced-many had worn thru and there was a big hole right in the middle of the lounge. Very convenient to everything in ft Myers including a quick ride to the beach. Bell tower shops great, just a walk across the parking lot. One negative - not enough parking spot in front of the hotel. Several nights I had to park in back because lot was full and a lot of the cars were from restaurant diners not hotel guests. Overall I would go back to the Crowne Plaza and recommend it to friends and relatives.”

• The rooms are nicely furnished and the beds are comfy.
• I didn't like the furniture in the hotel lobby. Wireless Internet didn't work.

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. The Bell Tower shopping center has lots of places to shop and to eat, and the grounds are spacious and pretty. The hotel was quiet, the staff was friendly, and, of course, the SW Florida weather was phenomenal!”

• Bathroom needed some paint/ touchup but was clean.

“I would stay here again. The location is accessible and excellent for personal or business travel.”

• Large room, comfortable furnishings, extras that included a gift bag to enhance your sleeping experience (eye mask, CD, earplugs, and more).
• Located in a shopping center. Some traffic noise.

“Spacious room with plenty of comfortable seating. Equipped with internet capabilities including a laptop desk. Staff has a focus on cleanliness and guest comfort, providing pillow top mattresses and down comforters for a luxurious sleeping experience. Amenities include in room refrigerator, gourmet coffee, and a sleep enhancing gift package. Pet and family friendly.”

• Had music playing opera when you arrive in your room. Nice effect upon arrival.
• Noticed that other guests room service was left outside door to be picked up for quite awhile.

“I liked to hotel, it was convenient to multiple restaurants, shopping, etc. Very modern appearance and value for price. Greeted with opera softly playing in the room was a comforting touch. Friendly service. Only negative noticed was consumed room service meals were left outside rooms for a bit longer than preferred. Overall great experience.”

• Very nice, updated, clean; staff was very accommodating to our needs, so was room service after closed.
• There was a smell of beer by the fridge, as if on the carpet.

“We were very, very pleased. The beds were so comfortable and the sheets smelled so good. The pool was very nice and also very clean. They also provided towels, although they were a bit rough, as if they'd been washed too much or needed some fabric softener. Overall, though, very positive stay. The kids also loved it.”

“Fabulous location with short walking distance to shopping and movies. Very comfortable beds. Totally excellent service. Great swimming pool and pool area. Great experience!”

• The Internet wasn't working didn't have linens for the sofa bed.

“The wireless Internet service wasn't working. Secondly they didn't have any linens in the room for the sofa bed. Called housekeeping and requested sheets, blanket and pillow. About 10:00 pm while out they delivered just the sheets. About midnight we had to try and track someone down to get a blanket and pillows.”
