• Reasonable place to stay for the night.
• Internet signal was weak and didn't reach our room.

“We were in town to see a ball game and just needed a place to stay. Wasn't looking for anything fancy. I use internet frequently so was disappointed that the signal didn't reach our room, however it worked fine in the lobby. Didn't have a do not disturb sign but our hand-written note kept the housekeepers away until we were up.”

• I arrived early and the staff checked me in prior to the check-in time.
• Only two ice-makers worked out of eight.

“The location is not in the heavy tourist district. It's about twenty minutes from the beach. It's good for business travelers because one is close to stores and restaurants.”

• Our room had a musty odor due to an outdated air conditioning unit.

• Staff was very friendly. Location was convenient. Very clean.
• Towels too small/coarse. Not enough towels initially in room.

“A great experience overall. They provided a pack n play for my toddler. The room had room darkening drapery which was awesome for sleeping in and not being awakened by the light. I was pleasantly surprised to find a fridge in the room and the welcome basket was a very nice touch. I thought for the price and expectations of an economy hotel, we got a lot of bang for the buck.”

• I got the room for a great price.
• The beds were small for 2 adults and I had to keep asking for towels.

“The hotel was said to be near the airport-not the International/main airport so it was a bit out of the way. The beds were not comfortable and I had to ask the office everyday for enough towels for us and the last day they didn't leave a shampoo or bar soap and because we had to leave early the main office was closed.”

• It was next door to a Mels Diner good food and atmosphere.
• Towels and amenities not there had to ask for everything.

“Needs to have a cleanliness overseer to make sure the staff is keeping the rooms clean and furnished with the amenities, towels etc empty baskets etc and make sure the plumbing does not flow into the room as it did for us and many other guests.”

• There were ants crawling all over the sink and on the wall.

• It was close to shopping and beaches.
• The lobby restroom was not properly maintained. The room smelled awful.

“The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the beaches. The main lobby restroom was not tidy. I stayed in a smoking room which smell horrendous! I was able to get rid of the smell by airing the room out and purchasing candles. They did not have maid service on Sunday.”

• The manager who checked me in was outstanding.
• The bathroom was extra small and dirty.

“Somewhat outdated, beds where hard and sunken. Bathrooms are cramped and dirty, continental breakfast is paltry, and every door to every room had knuckle marks from someone punching them. Made me wonder about security.”

• House cleaning needs a little improvement.

• The swimming pool was wonderful.
• All the remodeling and paint fumes. Our room smelled like paint.

“The room was dark and cold and smelled like paint, however, it was clean and comfortably arranged. The swimming pool was wonderful. The water was warm, clean and inviting. The free continental breakfast was non-existent. We had to ask the girl at the desk where the food was, she walked down the hall and retrieved 3 bagels, 3 pancakes and 3 Cheese Danish no syrup or cream cheese/spread from a storage closet and handed them to us. The location was great, close to everything. Overall it was a nice stay as long as you don't expect to eat.”

• Owners were obviously working at painting and "renewing" this facility.
• The second floor room was not convenient for my husband and his bad knee. I was denied a first floor room.

“The facility was getting a "face lift"- newer carpets, fresh paint. The breakfast was adequate but not as nice as other La Quinta's I've stayed at. It is very convenient to Mel's Diner next door which was very good.”

• The room had a very strong odor that caused me to have a headache.

“The room was ok, except for the odor. I can't describe it, but it was very strong. I didn't ask for another room because I was told it was the only one on ground level. I would use La Quinta again, but I'd request another room if this situation occurred again.”

• I had no complaints at all.

“This was a return visit to this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit but my second visit showed me that this kind of quality service is the norm for this hotel and not the exception. We had excellent service from everyone, from housekeeping and maintenance to the hotel management, and we will definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to others. If the other La Quinta's are as exceptional as those in Fort Myers, Florida I will certainly stay there when I travel.”

• The staff was excellent and so friendly and helpful, very pleasant.
• They needed to update the toaster for the continental breakfast area.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. The price was right, the beds were comfortable and most of all the staff was always smiling and very pleasant. Always accommodating. The only thing I can think of that could be changed would be the bathroom situation. Tub/shower needs to be separate from each other and an enclosed dressing area where the sink and mirror was. When traveling with another couple the bath/shower/toilet was to small to dress in, and the outer area had no privacy. Other than that I would give this hotel a 10 on the scale of 1-10. Stay was very pleasant. Pool was clean and heated. Hotel was very clean.”

• Breakfast only had one choice of cereal, very limited!

“Very outdated and dirty. Shower tile needed fixing; Room ceiling had been patched; Ice maker broken; dirty sheets; broken night stand. Breakfast attendant filled coffee pot in public restroom, free breakfast was one step above being inedible. Not a good experience; will never stay here again.”

• The location of this hotel is very convenient and easy to find.
• The general condition needs attention and updating.

“Our reservation was for a smoke-free, king bed. Upon arrival, they only had a king room that allowed smoking. The smoke smell was incredibly strong. The carpet was filthy. The rooms need updating. The lobby provides for a good first impression, but the property does need work.”

• Previous guests' dirty towels still on door in bathroom.

“Reason for stay: Just needed a place to sleep--arrived late, left early. Positives: Price; Accommodations good enough for short stay. Bed, linens and carpet seemed newish, room odor-free. Bathroom acceptable. Restaurant right next door to north looked inviting, though we didn't stop in. Negatives: Stale/cleaning agent odor in lobby, housekeeping less than thorough (used towels left in bathroom). Shower/toilet room configuration would make it difficult for larger people to open and close the door from inside--very little room for door swing.”
