• The computer center, breakfast service.

“The hotel has excellent service and is in a safe location. The price of the hotel is a great deal and includes use of the internet and computer, free parking, and the rooms are very spacious. The only negative comment is that the rooms could be a little more updated and there was slight mold around the tub area. The mold is difficult to remove because this area is very humid. The rooms were very clean and the staff is extremely helpful.”

• The morning breakfast staff was pushing us out of the lobby too early; felt unwelcome.

• I love the modern feel of the decor and plasma TV.
• The air conditioner was so loud, it was hard to sleep.

“Second time we've stayed there, would stay there again if we needed to go back to that location for business or pleasure. I did not remember air conditioning being so loud on our first trip there, told the hotel they said they'd send maintenance up the next morning to check on it. Was still just as loud later when we returned. However, overall experience very pleasant.”

• There was no microwave anywhere available for guests' use.

• I liked almost everything about our hotel and room.
• The bath tub did not drain like it was suppose to. Had to wait for tub to drain for others to be able to shower.

“To be totally honest, this hotel was very nice and the employee's were very nice as well. I will recommend my friends and family to stay at the Hyatt when they are in Lakeland.”

• The room was great, very comfortable and spacious.
• Just finishing renovations so dirty lobby and staff not very professional.

“Once the renovations are complete and the staff has finished training, this will probably be a very nice facility. Probably a four star. My room phones didn't work, and when the staff was told about it, it didn't really seem to matter.”

• Beautiful room and concept.
• Food service was overly expensive and buffet breakfast was quite limited with charges for all of the extra items often included in a continental.

“Original concept and beautiful rooms and lobby. Friendly staff was helpful. Breakfast buffet was very limited with several items with an extra charge. Foods in the refrigerator case were overpriced and stale.”

• The location was prime. Very modern and well decorated & furnished. Very comfortable.
• My room didn't have a remote control and no room service.

“Overall the hotel was more than I expected to get for a 2.5 star hotel. I have stayed at 4 and 5 stars hotel that it can actually complete with. The facilities were very modern and gave you a sense of style and comfortable. I didn't come into much contact with hotel staff, but most were professional.”

• The huge screen TV and the very modern look.
• My room was right next to the elevator which had tile floors and echoed a lot into the room.

“This Hyatt was not up to the standard that I would expect for the Hyatt chain. There was a horrible smell in the 5th floor hallway and in our room. I frequently sprayed the air conditioner unit and room with body spray just to stand it.”

• Hotel was clean and fairly centrally located to everything in the city we were looking for.
• There was a limited selection each morning for the continental breakfast.

“This hotel was extremely nice. There did not seem to be many restaurants to our liking nearby; however, I must admit that we did not ask the hotel staff for any suggestions for nearby fast food either.”

• No weight equipment or machines in fitness room.

“5 minute ride to downtown business, government, and restaurant center, makes this hotel perfect for the business traveler. Plenty of front desk and lobby staff makes check-in quick and welcoming. Rooms are mini-suites with comfortable beds and, best of all.”

• The room was nice and the staff had a very positive and helpful attitude.
• Room next to Elevator was slightly noisy.

“My wife and I enjoyed the Lakeland Hyatt very much. The interior design was modern, clean and interesting and. It functioned well. The suite type room let you read or just relax separate from the sleeping area. A small refrigerator and sink were a nice touch and the huge flat screen HDTV could swivel to either location. A full complement of channels and movies were available. The free continental breakfast had a large variety of fruits, cereals, bagels, yogurts, juices and coffee's etc. The staff seemed to always be cheerful and was helpful when needed. They actually seemed eager to help. (not seen to often these days) All in all, we would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• My hotel key did not work at other entrances to hotel.

“My stay was absolutely the best. I had 3 rooms and my niece and her baby triplets came at the last minute (6 of us were in town for a wedding). The rooms were spacious enough to accommodate the additional load with ease. The staff welcomed all of us and was very attentive to our needs. We will be back!”

• A little farther than I would prefer from my reason to be there.

• The dinning area needs to be bigger, more tables.

• Very large room with sitting and bar area. Great bed. Lobby had good places to sit and eat breakfast.
• Sound from the hall carried. Trouble with the key and daytime staff seemed a bit, well, inexperienced.

“I was pleasantly surprised by this "new" kind of Hyatt. The room was really a suite, and the downstairs, which has a Starbucks at its hub, felt very friendly. The staff was friendly, but we had a problem with the keys not working, and there didn't seem to be anyone in charge over the age of 18. There was a soccer team staying there, and the hall noises carried into the room-slamming doors and talking, but it was not too bad. The beds are very comfortable-same beds in Hyatt Regency.”

“This is a very nice hotel for the price and well suited for business travel. Previous trips have been fine but on this trip, there were tiny blood spots on my sheets and the TV pay movies charged to my account but would not play. The hotel refunded the movie cost.”
