• The hotel was beautiful and very festive.
• The airport shuttle did not run 24 hrs a day and taking a cab to airport cost $50.

“I love crowne plaza hotels and this one was equally stunning inside (as always, ugly outside, nice inside). Everyone was super kind and the hotel was clean, beautiful and a very great value.”

• Convenient to Ford Amphitheater and very friendly staff.

“This hotel was very clean and conveniently located to the Ford Amphitheater. The hotel staff was very friendly. They shuttled us to the Amphitheater for a concert and even stayed late to ensure everyone was picked up from the concert. I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future.”

• Gorgeous lobby, waterfall - great balcony on the room.
• Front desk guy was no help with directions, just didn't care.

• Mold in rooms.

“Lobby and public areas were nice, yet dated. Rooms were dated, only moderately clean, but most importantly, they had mold all over the place, tables, entertainment center, refrigerator, decorative pillows, etc. First room we went to had white stuff everywhere (looked like insulation), so we were moved to next room which still had some but not as much. Apparently the hotel is undergoing renovations and the construction debris is somehow coming through the doors and/or AC. Staff was quite nice. Free shuttle service is nice. My bottom line, place needs a makeover and the rooms need mold remediation; would not stay again only because of mold.”

• Linen spray, sleep mask, sleep CD, beautiful, hushed and comfortable room.
• Nothing, except my stay was too short.

“I initially booked my stay at Best Western. Since nearly all of the other guests were Spring Breakers intent on disregarding anyone who might actually want to sleep, my stay was miserable. After 2 full nights of enduring the hotel management's inability to control them, I was able to procure a last minute room at Crowne Plaza for slightly more. I wish I had stayed there from the beginning. Beautiful rooms, professional staff, blissfully quiet and well worth the additional cost.”

• The room was extremely clean with lots of pillows.
• Too many police sirens (6 times in one night).

“The hotel is a 1980s style corporate relic. It had a teen pageant, a quince, and another day time kids event in the 24 hours we were there. The Jesters were also there for an event. However, the lobby was dark as were the hallways, giving it a lonely appearance, in a not great neighborhood.”

• It was a pretty building, and our stay was quiet.
• It was empty. The lobby was cavernous and the bar was simply empty, so there was no buzz of excitement or liveliness anywhere.

• Very comfortable, clean, convenient location. Nice amenities, friendly staff.
• They normally have a breakfast buffet, but were not offered when we were there.

“I travel a lot and really got more than we expected. Although the hotel is somewhat older, the decor was beautiful and very well maintained. Access to I-75 is just one block away, very convenient and close to everything. I will definitely stay at this hotel next time I go to Tampa.”

• Beds and pillows were very comfortable!
• Charged $9.99 a day for internet access.

“Very pretty and clean hotel. Staff was excellent and helped with every request or question I had. Pool was great! Very good place to stay if attending a concert at the Amphitheater. Shuttle service available. A wonderful experience. Would highly recommend! I look forward to returning.”

• It was always convenient in the past.
• Less than helpful when it came to canceling my reservation.

“I am completely displeased. This hotel was booked by myself and what I didn't realize was that my boyfriend booked us a hotel on the opposite side of town, near the beach, as a surprise. When I called to cancel my reservation Crowne Plaza would do nothing for me. I travel for work a lot and whenever I am in Tampa I always book a room at this hotel. I will continue to stay at the Crowne Plaza.”

“The Crowne Plaza Tampa East is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms are beautifully appointed with covered balconies, and the interior and exterior landscaping truly gives the place a tropical feel. I highly recommend it.”

• Very clean bathroom, very responsive staff.
• Needs free wireless Internet in rooms.

“This hotel was better than most 3 star hotels. The facility was attractive, the common areas were nice, and my room was spotlessly clean. The bed, which the hotel advertises as very comfortable, was fabulous: firm mattress with nice linens and lots of pillows. The staff was very responsive. When we needed a light bulb replaced and new batteries in the TV remote, it was done while we were out of the room. The service person left a note apologizing for the inconvenience we encountered, and detailing the repairs that were com0pleted. This was a very nice touch. This hotel is really a 3++ star facility.”

• Clean pleasant rooms with helpful staff and decent location.
• Close to noisy freeway and remote from entertainment. Area. Restaurant staff was overburdened and slow.

“Hotel was picked because of location to activities in Lakeland. Hotel was very good for the price, but noise from i75 was a bit much. Staff was friendly and helpful. Had to drive about 3 miles to find a good restaurant and nightclubs.”

• The hotel room was roomy and had a balcony.
• There was nothing to do near the hotel, no restaurants, malls, etc.

“The hotel was very nice and clean. There was a nice ambience at the piano bar every evening. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was very clean and had a balcony. We had requested 2 double-beds since we were traveling with our children, but they only had rooms with a king-size bed available. They provided us with a rollaway bed free of charge which was nice and the room had a sleeper sofa too. We stayed at this hotel thinking that it would be close to Busch gardens but it was about 30 mins away. Although it was right next to i-75, one of the exits for it was closed due to either road expansion or improvement and we'd have to drive to the next exit and drive back and around to return to the hotel after spending the day at Busch gardens. The road problem is obviously not the hotel's fault although definitely an inconvenience to their guests. Overall, I would recommend the hotel for their rooms and great service.”

• I do not like the fact that once you have paid you are stuck.
• I tried to check in and they did not have my room available.

• I loved the decor in the hotel.
• Security man was very short.

“Three of us went down from Jacksonville to Tampa to do the Busch Gardens thing for 2 days. We chose this hotel, hesitant at first, since it is owned by the same company who owns Holiday Inn. We checked in, and found that the hotel was as a nice as a the local Hilton or Doubletree (same company, I know) and were very satisfied with the room. I didn't even know we had a balcony until my friend pointed it out. We sat outside smoking our hookah most of the night and watching DVDs. The hotel is about 2 minutes away from a 24/7 gas station and a 24/7 wall greens, and there is a Wal-Mart within 10 minutes that's also 24/7.”

• The balcony even though it was a non smoking hotel you could still go out on the balcony to smoke. It was beautiful.
• I can't think of anything that we didn't like.

• It had a comfy feeling to it. Wife felt comfortable so that was important.
• The food from room service was not very good for the amount of money that we paid for it.

“We will definitely stay at this Crowne Plaza again. We went to Tampa to gamble at the Hard Rock Casino and this hotel is the absolute best alternative to the expensive Hard Rock hotel itself. There are hotels closer to the casino, but they are in bad neighborhoods. This hotel was beautiful and extremely comfortable and very safe. It was only five minutes to the Hard Rock which was perfect for us. We can't wait to stay at this and any other Crowne Plaza again!”

• The staff was friendly, efficient and very quick to respond to any request. The obviously want their customers to come back again!
• One wing of rooms has too much traffic noise. The breakfast service was non-existent, but the manager apologetically resolved the problem.

“Our party consisted of my husband and myself, my elderly mother and 2 elderly aunts. It is interesting and sometimes difficult to travel with such a group. The hotel staff was intuitive in it's efforts to ensure we all had a pleasant (and safe) stay. The hotel itself is older but well maintained. The rooms were clean and comfortable. But, most of all, the staff was wonderful!”

• The hotel appearance was very elegant and we felt very safe during our stay.
• We had the buffet for supper and it needs more variety for the type of food served.

“The location of the hotel was easy to find as we exited from the interstate. We were able to visit family and return to the hotel were we spent the night and felt very safe and secure in the area which the hotel was located. When we return to the area next month we will stay there again.”

• It was beautiful and clean. Would stay there again.
• The elevators were slow.

“Great place to stay. Friendly staff and you can't beat the complimentary shuttle. Not only to and from the airport but they will also take you anywhere within 5 miles. My wife and I wanted something nice for dinner so the shuttle driver, Jeff, took us to where all of the restaurants are and gave his recommendations. When we were done eating we called the hotel and the shuttle was there in about 10 minutes. The pool is beautiful too. I recommend the Crowne Plaza Tampa East to anyone.”
