“Hotel was excellent, didn't like all the cable news channel.” Oct 28, 2009 by
Chris from Atlanta,GA
“Very pleasantly surprised by the fresh modern atmosphere. Even better than the pictures!” Oct 18, 2009 by
Carolyn from Naples,FL
“Very convenient to restaurants. Great for an overnight in downtown Greenville.” Oct 15, 2009 by
John from Lincolnton,GA
“Very nice, clean, professional staff and pricey breakfast which I declined.” Oct 9, 2009 by
Stacey from Fletcher,NC
“This is an older hotel. It reminds me of the Contemporary at Disney World because of the large atrium and flowing water. Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Comfortable bed & pillows.” Sep 17, 2009 by
Al from Dahlonega,GA
“Friendly staff with a great location.” Aug 31, 2009 by
Rhonda from Peachtree City,GA
“Loved this hotel and Aug 29, 2009 by
Anne from Atlanta,GA
“The hotel decor and setup was extremely outdated. Our room's window looked into the atrium of the hotel, and the lobby was covered in fake ivy. Our room felt cold, damp and musty. We were unable to get any hot water in our room -- at best it was luke-warm -- and could not take showers. The bathroom was one of the smallest I've ever been in. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the bed was VERY comfortable.” Aug 26, 2009 by
Rebecca from Orangeburg,SC
“Downtown hotel that required paying extra $6 per day for parking which was not expected when using Priceline for getting a hotel...so my price just got raised $12 from what I agreed to pay by getting this hotel. The atmosphere was nice in the lobby and the staff was nice. The room was nice except the bathroom. The toilet did not work and the door to the bathroom did not open completely. The door was against the toilet so you could not shut the door. Very tiny bathroom with everything in the same room...only one person could be in there at a time. There was no refrigerator for my medication or a microwave. Had to pay for internet if you used it almost $10 a day which was ridiculous for a higher stared hotel to add all these extra fees...might as well stayed at a one star hotel with free breakfast, internet and parking...very disappointed that this hotel had all these added expenses and therefore we could not enjoy those amenities that should have come with a higher star rating hotel.” Aug 15, 2009 by
Rick from Oak Park,MI
“Rooms are smaller than I anticipated I had room with two double beds (Full size). Queen size beds would be preferable.” May 19, 2009 by
Elizabeth from Beaufort,SC
“The hotel has a nice open lobby with a resturant and bar. As a single woman I was comfortable going there to eat and have a glass of wine. The hotel has a nice work-out room and pool. The room was lovely with great bed linens. I thought the wireless internet was expensive. That should be included in the price of the room.” May 14, 2009 by
Joy from Raleigh,NC “The hotel staff was very pleasant and the room was more than adequate.” May 5, 2009 by
DangerousDan from Lookout Mountain,GA
“Comfortable beds & clean rooms, helpful staff but only professionally friendly, didn't use pool though looked very clean. The TV's were nice, but made a rather loud beeping when shutting off which could be irritating if roommate was sleeping. Parking fee of $6.00 for self parking. Otherwise - it was a nice, comfortable, very convenient place to stay in Greenville. We would stay again I'm sure.” May 5, 2009 by
Mercedes from Columbia,SC “I was given a room that did not have amenity, although the front desk person insisted that my needs would be accommodated.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Rodney from Salisbury,NC
“We had lived in Greenville before and had been in the Hyatt visiting, not staying there. It was a very pleasant experience to get to stay in a hotel where we had visited so many times before. The staff was friendly and efficient. The exercise facilities were top notch. We felt spoiled, we will stay there every chance we get.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Joseph from Columbia,SC
“After 12 years of living in the area I've always wanted to stay at the Hyatt downtown but never got the opportunity so you could imagine my delight at finally getting the chance. Unfortunately the experience did not live up to the expectation. The Hotel was nice but every thing is some what dated. The sink would not produce hot water no matter how long I ran it. The AC was incredibly loud, ran constantly, but never seem to cool the room even at the lowest temperature setting. The front desk clerk did not seem too concerned when I told her during check out the next day.” Apr 15, 2009 by
Rick from Denver,NC
“This hotel is quiet, clean and conveniently located in the downtown Greenville area. Several restaurants and bars are within walking distance of the hotel.” Apr 12, 2009 by
Grace from Tampa,FL
“Parking is not very convenient. Be sure to park on the third floor so you do not need to go up and down the elevators. Also, there is a $6 fee to park.” Mar 10, 2009 by
Sarah from Harrison,ME
“Staff was efficient and friendly. Facilities were first-class. Hotel is right in the middle of restaurants and shops; park your car and walk to everything you need.” Feb 19, 2009 by
Danny from Gaffney,SC
“Downtown Greenville is great. The hotel is within walking distance to everything downtown. The Reedy River Development is great. Downtown Greenville is my favorite medium size city.” Feb 17, 2009 by
Johnnie from Mitchellville,MD
“The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. I was impressed with the amount of security features the hotel had, (i.e. must use card key to get above the ground level in the late hours).” Feb 14, 2009 by
Heather from Fayetteville,NC
“Enjoyed my stay. Close and convenient to everything.” Feb 11, 2009 by
Gail from Fort Mill,SC
“The atrium area was beautiful with a waterfall and gardens. Even with 3 conventions attending, it was very peaceful and had plenty of space to move around.” Feb 1, 2009 by
Ray from St Johns,FL
“Staff was friendliest I've encountered. Went out of way to offer help and suggestions around town. My room could have cleaner - I think housekeeping could have had a bad day.” Dec 30, 2008 by
Tim from Savannah,GA
“The rooms were spacious and clean. The overall feeling of the hotel was modern and up-to-date, which started when you entered the front door and continued into the bedrooms. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The bathroom in the room with a king bed was however pretty small. When opened the bathroom door would hit the knees of anyone taller than 4-7, if they were using on the toilet. Other than the smaller than normal bathroom, size I found the rest of my stay to be exceptional.” Nov 3, 2008 by
Paul
“Very good hotel. Three elevators for a large hotel cause problems at peak times. Excellent staff. Great location. Certainly an above average hotel. Extra charges for internet, business center, etc.” Sep 21, 2008 by
Dean
“Hotel is excellent, self parking leaves a lot to be desired.” Sep 13, 2008 by
Mitch from Woodstock, GA
“This hotel seems to want to drive business away instead of attract business. Pay to Park, Pay for internet, horrible prices on menu. If I was the GM, I would provide things which people would want to spend their money on. How about bike rentals. I would have loved to see the city but walking is not a great option. Bikes or mopeds would be fun and a revenue generator. Provide fun stuff how about a bakery or pretzel or cookie store in the lobby. My room looked out over the garage. I am sure the hotel was not busy. why would they want to give me a bad room and make my trip less enjoyable. Someone's asleep at this hotel and it's not the guests.” Sep 12, 2008 by
Jrd from Charlotte, NC
“Excellent location in downtown Greenville with easy access to many restaurants. Room layout for business travelers was ok. Overall, good experience.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Percilla from Greenville, SC
“I am satisfied with my stay & would recommend this hotel to family & friends. I would recommend that they do away with the paid parking for guest because I had a hard time keeping up with card to let myself in & out the hotel.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Genie from Murrells Inlet, SC
“Very good location convenient to businesses and restaurants. City run free trolley will take you all around downtown. Downtown Greenville is a pleasure to visit and you will enjoy a variety of activities.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Elizabeth from Vass, NC
“I love that this hotel is downtown and pet friendly. The staff was very nice, and didn't blink an eye about the dog.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Jerry from Sterling, VA
“NA.” Sep 10, 2008 by
Cindy from Stockbridge, MI
“Staff was pleasant. I loved the location. Lobby and room were clean when we arrived. Only problem was no room service for us or our other members of our family. When asked for room to be cleaned we had towels delivered (immediately), which was nice. I have stayed there before and never had this problem before so hopefully it was a temporary help issue for this particular weekend.” Sep 7, 2008 by
Norman from Seat Pleasant, MD
“The bathroom was tiny - no refrigerator or microwave - no place to sit in the lobby to wait for rides - inconvenient to have to walk outside of the parking garage and go around the corner to get into the hotel that is attached to the garage, especially with luggage.” Sep 6, 2008 by
Mike from Gallup, NM
“The experience at the hotel was just fine. The negative was the noise of the people in the streets (which were closed off for the town event effect). The drinking and noise continued until after 2 a.m. and was quite noisy, even on the 5th floor where we stayed. The morning had noises of trucks coming and going, so the stay was not too restful for us, even though the facility was comfortable.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Greg from Shepherdsville, KY
“This hotel was in a nice downtown location, close to dining, entertainment, etc. The restaurant food and service were excellent. Trainee checking person took a long time, while her counterpart checked in 3 people. Room was nice and roomy, with exception of extremely tiny bathroom! It was definitely the smallest bathroom I have ever seen! Sitting on toilet, one elbow hit sink, the other hit the tub! Lobby area was nice, and all facilities were clean.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Will from Hickory, NC
“Typical of Hyatt's, this hotel has beautiful common areas. The restaurant and bar are very nice but a bit pricey. The location of this hotel is perfect if you want to be right in the downtown area. The room I received was tiny, dark (a very small window facing an alley) and the bathroom is very outdated and appeared dirty. The biggest disappointment (and biggest surprise), they charge you to park. The overall stay was ok for the price.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Brian A. from Columbia, SC
“Great location-near downtown in walking distance from the waterfall park. Comfortable rooms and great valet and room service.” Sep 4, 2008 by
Kristin from North Kingstown, RI
“I loved the lobby, pool, dining, comfort of bed, and decor, but the keys, the double bed size and staff was uncooperative.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Jay-Jay from Columbia, SC
“Way too loud! Needs more soundproofing! Very friendly and helpful staff; very clean hotel, but no free breakfast. The pool is on a 3rd floor rooftop (wing) and is bricked in, with no view; it feels like you're in a ghetto somewhere! Also, internet access was very slow and cost $9.95 a day; parking is $6 a day in a city-owned garage, which was full of people in the neighborhood for a street festival we knew nothing about, and there is no preference given to hotel guests, so we had to keep driving and driving around the garage to find a space!” Sep 3, 2008 by
Natalie from Abbeville, SC
“The hotel lobby & restaurants were far out. Some staff was friendly, others weren't. The room was clean but the bath tub was full of hair that wasn't ours. Otherwise very nice.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Brenda from Fort Wayne, IN
“The hotel was very nice from the outside to the inside. The hotel staff was very helpful and parking was reasonably priced at the hotel.” Sep 3, 2008 by
Detra from Irmo, SC
“Very nice hotel! It was clean, the service was friendly and it was centrally located in the heart of downtown.” Sep 2, 2008 by
James from Pilot Mountain, NC
“Hotel and staff was extremely nice. Hotel is top of the line. There is no public parking. You have to park in a city parking garage ($6.00) a day. The WiFi is not free there. You have to pay $9.99 a day for WiFi. Price was good but there were a lot of extra fees for services that are free in most other places.” Sep 2, 2008 by
Richard from Fuquay Varina, NC
“Excellent facility.” Aug 21, 2008 by
Darren from Cumming, GA
“This had everything I was looking for in a hotel. Nice rooms, beautiful lobby, and a perfect location. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and our kids loved the glass elevators. Next time we're passing through Greenville, the Hyatt is our first choice.” Aug 18, 2008 by
Kristie from Bethlehem, PA
“Updated hotel with great downtown location. Courteous and helpful staff. Parking fee is reasonable with a short walk to enter the hotel but, valet is available. Would not hesitate to stay again at this location when visiting the area.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Nikki from Charlotte, NC
“Nice hotel, downtown Greenville. Convenient location. I was not pleased with the fact that the hotel charges for WiFi. Although, this does not connect in the hotel. There is a computer lab as well. Why charge? Also, there is free parking a couple of blocks away on the weekend. I think the hotel could stand to offer free parking as well on the weekend, the garage was mostly empty. It's like they are trying to make money on everything that could be free for guests.” Aug 13, 2008 by
Shauna from Cherryville, NC
“It is convenient but when we checked in, they put is in a room with a door to an adjoining room. I told them there were very loud kids next door and would like to be moved to a quieter area. They moved us above the pool and this is during the summer. Its in the middle of downtown and the room was very nice.”
