• Friendly, comfortable beds, nice size room with nice size sitting area and kitchen, nice pool, nice business center.
• Bath room too small. Bathroom sinks are in the room and not in the bathroom. ( No privacy.)

• Noisest hotel I've stayed in. You could hear everything inside and outside of the hotel.

“While the food was good you had to go to the lobby to order and pick it up as there was no room service. The rooms were okay, but the carpet was stained and there was only 1 small trash can in the room. There was no dresser and only drawers in the vanity to store clothes. There was no sound proofing. We could hear people showering, talking in other rooms and the halls, and even putting the toilet seat up in the next room. We could also hear people talking in the parking lot and hear all of the cars from our second floor room.”

• The room was delightfully large, the hotel was extremely clean, breakfast was nice, and the amenities were wonderful.

“Excellent choice for a hotel. The best in the area. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Big screen televisions, very comfy beds, actual glass glasses in the rooms. What a pleasure not to drink out of Styrofoam or plastic! Breakfast was good. The overall place was wonderful.”

• It was a convenient location.
• The hotel rooms are not a 3.5 star status
  the lobby and pool was nice, but the rooms were outdated, did not have proper furnishings or decor.

• It was right down the road from Bush Gardens and everyone at the hotel was very friendly.
• The only thing that they didn't have was a hot tub, but that really wasn't that big of a deal.

“The over all stay at the hotel was nice. All the staff was very friendly, and even helped us get directions to another place that we wanted to visit. Yes there is a rail road track near by but I don't think that there are trains running. We never heard a train. The room was very roomy and clean.”

• Indescribably wonderful.

“The hotel was wonderful. The front desk clerks checked me in with no wait. The lobby was immaculate. The room was easy to find and it was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and I would stay there again as well.”

• I especially liked the friendly and accommodating staff.
• Would have liked a restaurant.

“The hotel met all of my business travel needs. There was internet connection and PC's for guest use. The staff was helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean. I enjoyed my stay of three weeks, and that is a lot to say for a hotel.”

• The shower temperature was reversed and the bathroom could have been a little cleaner.

• It was very close to Busch gardens.
• Our bathroom tub did not drain and the refrigerator was not working when we arrived, both were fixed by the next morning.

“Check in was pleasant, they give you a brief tour around the hotel. The free breakfast was ok, toast/bagels and dry cereal, other hotels offer waffles/eggs and sausage. Our room was decent; hubby loved the 42 inch flat screen. Bathroom was small but clean. Hotel was close to Busch Gardens and so we cant complain, it was a clean and safe place to sleep with the kids.”

• Wall mounted air conditioning units are noisy and can't control air flow towards bed.

“Excellent overall experience, thrilled with ease of check-in & out process, well appointed lobby with modern decor, rooms are truly functional, well decorated and offer amenities found in upscale hotels, especially the 42' plasma TV. Interesting dining and automated ordering experience, food is moderately priced and quality exceeded my expectations. Gym is well equipped with state-of-the art machines.”

• Starbucks coffee, doesn't taste like Starbucks.

“We arrived the hotel late so we got a really nice suite (I guess the standard room wasn't available anymore). It had one big bed (queen or king), comfy with nice pillows and a sofa bed (queen size). Everything was nice and clean (tub could be cleaner though, they should use a stronger cleaner to remove stains). The TV was a big flat screen (seemed plasma) with some HD channels.”

• Mattress too firm & pillows uncomfortable.

“My family was in Tampa for USF orientation. I felt secure and safe in this hotel. It was close to the campus and also to Busch Gardens. Although the mattress and pillow were not to my liking, no one else complained. We would stay here again!”

• Free continental breakfast.
• Noisy, dirty and old. Hotel does not the image of a Hyatt hotel at all. I thought I was staying at a Day Inn almost. No shuttle surface to attraction.

“I do not recommend this hotel. I would say it is a 2 star hotel at best. Hotel was like a Day's Inn. Noisy hallway, noisy AC unit. Pool was never closed, so guests partied at pool throughout night. Hotel room was old and dirty. Not well kept at all for a Hyatt hotel.”

• No shower pressure!

“The hotel was located right down the road from Busch Gardens and we were greeted right away. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and has a Starbucks on site. The room was amazing, especially the 42 inch flat screen TV. The only downside was there was no shower pressure and the water did not get that hot. I guess it is because it is trying to be a green hotel. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel, it was great!”

• The space within the room was well allocated. Nice decor.
• The continental breakfast had nice variety -- three kinds of fruit, cereal, juice beagles, etc.; but it was always the same.

“We were greeted and given a tour of the common areas and services by the desk clerk. Our check in took a bit of time apparently because of an unduly complicated computer screen program. The grounds were nicely landscaped and the room was quite comfortable, especially nice was the 42" flat screen, HD, TV with an easy to reach, full panel of input connections beside the desk. We could have used a microwave in addition to the safe and the minifrige. The outdoor pool was an agreeable temperature and appeared well maintained. We would stay there again.”

• It was very nice. Great location, close to everything.
• I asked for my sheets to be changed while I was out for the day, and they had not touched the room.

“I loved my stay at the Hyatt. The staff was very nice, went out of the way to be nice. The room was great, very clean. We loved the TV, it's a must have now. When I return to Tampa, I will be staying here again.”

• The pillow were so soft and comfortable.
• The bed was hard, only had sheer curtains so I was up by 6:19 a.m. & poor water pressure.

“I thought it was a nice hotel and reasonable for the price. The bed was way to hard for me and the curtain was to sheer so the light came in early. The water pressure was poor and the hot water could have been hotter. The employees were polite and friendly. The room was good size. My overall experience was very good and I would stay there again.”

“Excellent hotel for the price. My father and I stayed because it was close to Busch Gardens. The park was just a mile or so away. The hotel was also very close to restaurants as well as the University of S. Florida (I believe). We did not request a suite but received a room with two double beds as well as a pull out couch, if all the rooms are similar to the one we had, I would definitely recommend the hotel for families with children.”

• Very modern, staff bent over backwards to assist at all times.
• Close to Bush Gardens. But not to a beach. Starbucks Coffee tasted like burnt dirt.

“Hotel staff were 110% accommodating. They bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Room was very modern, had a granite wet bar, and bath, with a killer High-definition Plasma TV! (Wow!) Gym was small although machines were top notch, and all had TV built into the workout machines making for a great workout distraction. Breakfast was simple, very fresh and consisted of fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, and juices, and Starbucks Coffee free. Although I wonder about the coffee. It was the worst I ever had, and many agreed with me. (tasted like burnt dirt). Pool was out doors, and heated, average size, but very well kept. Common areas were very modern, and not what one would expect. Entering the hotel, one said wow, this is nice. Overall a great hotel, could not have hoped for more.”

• 42" flat screen TV, impeccably clean, friendly staff.
• Uncomfy bed, weak showerhead.

“From the road the Hyatt Place doesn't look like much but once you pull up and walk in you realize what a nice place this is. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious with great amenities and the hotel has a modern style to it. In comparison to other hotels, it's somewhere in between a nice Holiday Inn and a Hilton.”

“My fianc and I travel often. This was one of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, comfortable, stylish, and we especially enjoyed watching a movie on the 42" flat panel TV. They have wireless internet and free breakfast in the morning, which is great. Also, if you want to pay for a made to order breakfast meal, you can do that too. We will definitely be returning to the Hyatt place in the near future!”
