• Very modern, staff bent over backwards to assist at all times.
• Close to Bush Gardens. But not to a beach. Starbucks Coffee tasted like burnt dirt.

“Hotel staff were 110% accommodating. They bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Room was very modern, had a granite wet bar, and bath, with a killer High-definition Plasma TV! (Wow!) Gym was small although machines were top notch, and all had TV built into the workout machines making for a great workout distraction. Breakfast was simple, very fresh and consisted of fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, and juices, and Starbucks Coffee free. Although I wonder about the coffee. It was the worst I ever had, and many agreed with me. (tasted like burnt dirt). Pool was out doors, and heated, average size, but very well kept. Common areas were very modern, and not what one would expect. Entering the hotel, one said wow, this is nice. Overall a great hotel, could not have hoped for more.”

• 42" flat screen TV, impeccably clean, friendly staff.
• Uncomfy bed, weak showerhead.

“From the road the Hyatt Place doesn't look like much but once you pull up and walk in you realize what a nice place this is. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious with great amenities and the hotel has a modern style to it. In comparison to other hotels, it's somewhere in between a nice Holiday Inn and a Hilton.”

• Everything about this place was fabulous!
• The room did not have a microwave.

“My fianc and I travel often. This was one of the best hotel stays we have ever experienced! The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very spacious, comfortable, stylish, and we especially enjoyed watching a movie on the 42" flat panel TV. They have wireless internet and free breakfast in the morning, which is great. Also, if you want to pay for a made to order breakfast meal, you can do that too. We will definitely be returning to the Hyatt place in the near future!”

“I enjoyed this hotel. I had stayed at this particular one in the past when it was operated under a different company. I was impressed with how they redesigned the building and upgraded to a classier look!”

• Small rooms. Poor customer service.

“The room was attractive and clean upon arrival. Nicely decorated with a large flat-screen TV. The bathroom and closet were small. King size bed was very firm with feather pillows. Housekeeping staff didn't empty trash cans or make the bed. I'm not sure if they did anything other than leave the extra towels I requested. They didn't speak English. The front desk staff was not helpful upon check-in. There were two on duty and I was skipped twice for one of them to ring up snack items for other guests. For some unknown reason, I was checked out the next day even though I had reserved two days, so I had to spend 30 min. Checking in on day #2. They were either new or inept. Also, the hotel did not provide brochures for restaurants or activities; I couldn't even find the local yellow pages.”

“We were delighted with our stay at Hyatt Place. Within a mile of our destination (Busch Gardens). Our room was very nice, very spacious with updated furnishings. We were very comfortable and the staff was friendly/helpful.”

• Great chain. All the comforts.
• Too many kids that weekend.

“I'm always happy when Hyatt Place. It's a decent value at its usual rate. There were far too many children in the hotel this weekend, but since the hotel is at Busch Gardens, that's to be expected. Some parents chose to let their children play in the halls. Inconsiderate guests are a problem at ALL hotels now, though. I was here to visit my daughter in college. I hope it will be the hotel that always comes up when I need to travel to Tampa.”

• The rooms. Nice bed, couch, flat screen TV. Front staff amazing, very helpful.
• The maids, not very nice. One on the elevator tried not to let me on to go to my room. Tried to shut the elevator after she saw I wanted to get on.

• The staffs were very friendly and the room was absolutely amazing.

“Overall I believe that the location of the hotel was great. It was somewhat secluded because it sat behind another and was not visible to the street. The staffs were very helpful and welcomed questions the hotel. The room exceeded my expectations with size and set-up. The design of the room was both businesses friendly, romantic and roomy if additional guest visited the room.”

• The hotel seemed to be located in a not so great area.

“The Hyatt Place at Busch Gardens is a nice clean hotel that is extremely close to the theme park. I would recommend it for families and you can save a little money by taking advantage of the continental breakfast.”

• The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
• There is absolutely nothing I didn't like.

“I have to stay in the Tampa area two weekends of every month so that my husband can attend college classes. I feel safe when I am there alone all day. The staff is always courteous and eager to make sure I am well taken care of. It is so comfortable it's almost like I get two mini vacations each month.”

• A fuse blew and It took them three hours to fix with no apology.

“The initial stay was excellent, the staff was amazing but It soon ended. On our last night a fuse blew in the building apparently It controlled the elevators (we were on the sixth floor), the TVs, the hot water and lights in the stairwell up to the sixth floor. It took them three hours to fix the problem. There should have been emergency lights in the emergency stairways!”

• The maid didn't clean the room till very late and the day and actually didn't clean the room one day.
