• The moment you step in the bathtub, you will hear the cracking noise because the tub is not properly attached.

“Carpets are dirty and old. Furnitures are not updated. Shower curtain is dirty. You will hear the voice of people in the room staying right next to you.”

• Views from the room.
• We were on a romantic overnight trip and had to sleep on a small bed were told hotel was full and from number of folks about and the empty parking.

“It appears they were not honest about the hotel being full, when it was very apparent that it was very lightly occupied and the small bed made for a very uncomfortable sleeping arrangement for a romantic getaway. So uncomfortable that we ended up sleeping in separate beds, so much for a romantic birthday getaway!”

• Very friendly staff and nice room. Had a nicely laid-out bathroom.
• The in-room coffee was awful!

“This was a very nice place, and the guys at the desk were extremely helpful when I checked in (late at night, I might add!). The room was quite nice, with a different bathroom than you usually see - was a nice change. The lobby was under construction, so I didn't really see that, but the rest of the place was very nice. The only criticism I have is about the coffee. Awful! And they never give you enough cream and sugar to make it palatable.”

• It was at a convenient area, close to everything.
• When I would call the front desk, the 3 times I called, they did not pick up 2 of those times.

“I had a problem with the people next door to us, they kept slamming the door and talking about in the hallway, at 2 a.m.! Someone had also been smoking in the hall. There was also construction going on in the hotel itself, it was noisy and dirty and it ruined the look of the entrance when you walked into the hotel.”

• Clean, comfortable, very friendly and accommodating.
• Absolutely nothing but good things. Very enjoyable vacation.

“We would recommend this hotel to our family & friends. Nice location, accommodating personnel, great on-site restaurant had excellent breakfast menu and fabulous dinner menu. Enjoyed the rocking chairs in front of the hotel. Felt like I was at home relaxing after a busy day.”

• Very friendly staff, safe location, easy highway access.
• Only major complaint is that the TV was at the end of its useable life.

“While it is still a several mile drive to downtown Sarasota, the hotel offers great highway access and close food locations. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel also offers terrific business features, with a clean user friendly business center, free and easy to use WiFi and LAN connections, along with the ability to print from your computer.”

• It was really clean and had a beautiful entry.
• I never had enough towels or regular coffee in the room.

“This hotel was super clean. The staff was really friendly. If you wanted to sleep in they left you alone. The front desk sent up anything you wanted but, I kept having to ask for basic things like more coffee and towels. I gave up after awhile and just put up with what I had. I would like to stay there again.”

• Was nicely decorated and had a restaurant right there.
• The pool was not in working order.

“The hotel was nice, but the pool was closed for most of our stay. The main reason we stayed here was for the pool. We were there for a soccer tournament and wanted the pool for the kids to cool off in between games. By the time they got the pool fixed was early evening and we had to check out the next morning.”

• Kids eat free all meals.
• Pool area could be a little nicer.

“We were there for a youth soccer tournament, so we had a lot of kids there. When we got there on Friday night they informed us the pool pump was broken and the pool was closed. The staff searched all over the state of Florida to find the part and had it fixed by Saturday afternoon. This was much appreciated by the kids.”

• It was quiet, clean and close to a lot of retail shops.
• The in-room coffee was terrible, need a different brand. Pillows not that comfortable.

“The hotel overall was very nice. It was a little further from where we had initially wanted to stay, but it was worth a few extra minutes drive. The pillows leave a bit to be desired, but if you bring your own you'll be ok. I would highly recommend this hotel.”

• Extremely clean, quiet, good staff, nice restaurant very accommodating.
• Difficulty parking. Perhaps due to business meetings.

“Very clean. Staff was always gracious. Difficult parking perhaps due to business meetings or conventions. Had to park far away some nights. Good food at Alamo restaurant. Polite staff. Nice surroundings. Easy access to highway. Pool and facilities were closed during my stay. They looked very nice, though. Very satisfactory venue. Good price for what is offered.”

• Nice pool/hot tub. Very clean. Nice bathroom.
• Gross coverlet on bed. Switch to duvets, which are cleaned regularly!

“Clean, in nice location - close to shopping and entertainment. New hotel with free parking. Restaurant attached. Beautiful pool, hot tub, gym. Rooms clean and modern except for sheets with thin blanket and coverlet (removed immediately). Mattress not that comfortable.”

• Staff was friendly and helpful with directions.
• Requested to reuse shower towels, restaurant and lounge closed at 10 p.m., and told we could not order up food/ drink.

“To post a request to guest travelers to reuse towels and washcloths after showering and washing up was tacky, unsanitary, and thoughtless. The sign did notate to leave them on the floor if not agreeable to the request. I did request and receive towels. I also would have appreciated the opportunity of real milk for my coffee in the room and not have to save my coffee cup from the day before. Given the price of the room, the experience was rather demeaning.”

• This hotel was very nice! It was nicely decorated and clean as far as the rooms go. We were able to go and use the business center for emailing.
• We couldn't use the pool, hot tub or lay out in the sun due to the bugs outside the hotel were really bad. There was black bugs floating in the pool.

“This hotel was in a great location, the rooms were very pretty, staff was very helpful and friendly. There would be only one reason why I wouldn't stay here again and that would be due to the bugs outside. I was all over Florida in 7 days and no other hotel had this bug problem. Not sure if they forgot to spray the area or what. The value was great. We got to use a computer that is part of the business center to send pictures back home. Free of charge. One of the prettiest and nice Holiday Inns that I have ever stayed at. So if they fix the bug issue it would be an awesome hotel!”
