“We stayed at this hotel for the SAE convention. Thought it looked like a beautiful hotel. but, disappointed on many features. Several of the hotel amenities were not available. (Starbucks was closed the entire duration of our stay, one of the restaurants was closed down, and the pool side grille was closed as well.) Since our room was not available, they put us in a handicap room with a balcony. Our room was extremely humid and the bathroom vent did not work! Even with the air conditioning on, everything felt wet and damp. This made for very uncomfortable sleeping conditions. We struggled to get comfortable every night. Sheets would not stay on the bed! The staff offered to send up an atomizer, but we could not be in the room. Which was very inconvenient for us as we were in and out all day. We had to order room service for breakfast every morning as Starbucks and the restaurants were closed. The food was excellent and always on time, but very expensive. Our last day, we noticed cockroaches under the sink in the bathroom! We were glad to be checking out. I will say, we did enjoy the pool when time permitted and loved the Riverwalk nearby. Not much shopping available within walking distance, but still made for a fun afternoon. The Tampa Aquarium is a definite must see!” Mar 4, 2009 by

“Great hotel, spacious and inviting entryway. The bar was great for relaxing after the game. Rooms were clean but no refrigerator.” Feb 11, 2009 by

“Terrible location, parking prices excessive (valet only?). Paid a bit less to park across the street, but have to repay daily rate every time you want to leave, and when there are virtually no restaurants within walking distance, this was a major pain. Hot tub was dirty and was like a chemical bath. Unlike many other hotels I have stayed at, internet was not free (unless you went down to the lobby). There was an automatic charge to our room for newspaper delivery which we promptly canceled once we realized that they do this.” Jul 8, 2008 by

“Terrible. Will never stay there again because of the lack of consideration of the hotel management. The guests at the convention being held there were not those that I wanted my young kids to be around. So disappointing.” Feb 24, 2008 by

“Right on the waterfront, spacious room.” Mar 3, 2007 by

“Loved the hotel and how clean and elegant it was. Truly felt like a 5 star hotel but was able to pay 3 star price! Location was excellent and when in Tampa again, I will definitely stay here. The only strange part was when I went to get dinner and a drink at the attached sports bar -- I ordered a hot tea and the bartender looked so annoyed that I would waste his time on that but I was going to order appetizer and dinner and Iżm a really good tipper. Well, I was enjoying watching the game and waited over 20 minutes for him to bring my drink and he didn't, nor did he come back to take my dinner order. So I left and walked down to the new restaurant complex which ended up being a lot more fun. So I recommend the hotel to the fullest but spend your time exploring the local restaurants instead of the attached sports bar.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 1, 2007 by

“Arrived at the hotel around 5:30 and waited about 30 seconds to get checked in. Check in went quickly and we were on our way to our room on the 22nd floor. Fantastic water view! We were in town for the bruin's game at the ice palace which was just across the street from the hotel. Great location!” Feb 25, 2007 by

“The hotel was very nice just too large for my likings. I would look for something smaller next time.” Nov 5, 2006 by

“Very nice hotel in nice area of Tampa, staff did not satisfy me as far as giving me the type of room I ordered, or offer a discount for my troubles (ordered a king size bed w/balcony, but was given a room with no balcony, to get one we had to have a handicapped room. Very inconvenient if not handicapped.” May 14, 2006 by

“Exceptional value in a modern hotel which seemed to cater for all tastes (food - bars etc, etc). Highly recommended.” Hotel Representatives:
