• Parking

“The parking lot was taped off in front of the hotel. And it was late when we arrived. Two women and a young child had to walk from the back of the hotel after finding a parking spot, and the lighting was not very good. The rooms were comfortable and well equipped.”

• I liked the service provided by the staff.
• The restaurant on site called Coconuts was pretty pricey.

• Exquisite bedding & comfortable king bed.
• Wireless internet not free; in this era, it's a necessity. I will only book hotels with free wireless in future.

“Most impressive was the comfort of bed and bedding, a luxurious sleep. Almost equal was the helpfulness of the night staff in suggesting a nightclub, then calling the hotel van without prompting. The extra-charge wireless was a disappointment and annoyance; wireless is so much a part of our world that it cheapens a hotel to charge extra. Hundreds of dollars a day, perhaps, for connections that cost peanuts per month? I decided to actively seek only more up-scale hotels offering free wireless. ”

• Shuttle to/from airport was super! Staff was very helpful.

“The location was just minutes away from the airport and the shuttle service was great. The staff was very helpful in giving me the best directions to drive to Miami for the Super Bowl. I would recommend this hotel!”

• Our beautiful balcony room.
• Nothing.

“When I checked into the hotel, Troy at the front desk immediately handed me my key. Just out of curiosity I asked him if there were any balcony rooms available. Without saying a word, he scribbled out my number on the envelope and wrote a different number. We were shocked to realize we were given a very expensive executive balcony suite without paying a dime extra! The bed was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. It was very private and a beautiful view! We had a wonderful stay with this hotel and hope to stay again!”

• Close to airport, walking distance to major mall and restaurants.
• Lacks indoor pool, but I guess most in Florida are outdoor.

“Nice hotel that is 5 minutes from Tampa Airport. Used courtesy shuttle to get back to the airport. Walked 10 minutes to a beautiful new mall, had lunch, used the pool for a few hours then walked across the street to a nice steak and BBQ restaurant. Nice safe area, nice rooms and good beds with lots of pillows.”

• The tennis courts were nice.
• No refrigerator in room. Only expensive breakfast, no free breakfast.

“The hotel was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and Jacuzzi area was well kept, although the Jacuzzi was broken. I loved the tennis courts. That was a great way to get some exercise. I would recommend this motel to others.”

“Service was great, but I was in 2 different rooms, 1st one the a/c unit froze up, the 2nd one a/c unit was Very noisy just like the ST rooms, but A/C unit kept room cool.”

• Very nice room.
• The room was somewhat noisy. Heard people late night early morning evidently had been drinking.

“Very nice hotel in proximity to the airport. Room was larger than most. Only problem are the walls seem to be paper thin. No aircraft noise from the outside but could hear people on the inside from other rooms and the hallway. The bed was extremely comfortable.”

• Front desk staff, and mold issues.

“There was not an ash tray in the room. The front desk staff said they would take one up right away. When I returned it was not done. There was also mold on the windows, which I have allergies to.”

• Walls very thin - could hear phone ringing in next room.

“Overall this hotel's location is great with restaurants and mall. The buffet breakfast offered was horrible. The walls in the hotel room are so thin. We could hear everyone's conversation as they walk pass our room. We could even hear a ringing phone in the next room.”

• Breakfast and Internet cost extra.

“Hotel is looking a little dated & tired for a business three-star hotel. The staff was, not rude but also not very pleasant. Like they were just going through the motionless expensive hotels. This, plus the advertisements for rooms service and ability to buy the furnishings, gives an overall "get the most money from the customer" attitude. In addition the light in the bathroom did not work, and the shower did not allow a control of temperature (Hot or cold the only choices).”

• The first night, we had a smoking room.

“It was very nice and they moved us to a non-smoking room the next day. The beds were made up with very nice sheets, pillows, feather comforters, etc. The room service was excellent and the restaurant was good.”

• The rooms on the 11th and 12th floors appeared to be remodeled and were in great shape.

“Highly recommend this hotel. Centralized to both TPA and Westshore areas. Also, it is very close to I-275 providing easy access to anyone needing to go to Pinellas or surrounding counties.”

• The signs in the shuttles requesting tips, very tacky!

“When I think of Hiltons, I think of a group of well-run premium hotels. This is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at. This hotel definitely did not meet what I consider to be a Hilton standard. The room had a torn carpet and there were no towels in the bathroom or by the pool. If this was a Days Inn or a Ramada I would not complain, but this definitely is a very poor showing for a Hilton.”

“The Tampa Hilton was very nice. I had a quiet, peaceful evening. It is located in an extremely nice area of Tampa (Westshore) and very close to restaurants, shopping, etc. I was very pleased with my stay. Thanks.”
